Rosie O’Donnell’s Position in Birth Order

The section of this link for an article highlighted in yellow says that Rosie O’Donnell is a lastborn. Could that article have made a mistake, or does it refer to a different Rosie O’Donnell?

https://www.entrepreneur.com/living/can-birth-order-determine-success-or-failure-science-says/291918#:~:text=Many%20lastborns%20are%20famous%20comedians,Ellen%20DeGeneres%20and%20Charlie%20Chaplin. Cbsteffen (talk) 17:19, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

Conflicting Vocabulary

The piece states that she is an, "American talk show host, comedian, and actress."

By definition she can't be both a comedian and actress. She is either a comedian and actor, or she is a comedienne and actress. 2600:382:28B4:1CB8:F90C:B04:EF0:B843 (talk) 20:43, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

The last paragraph of the ‘Personal Life’ section goes into detail about her daughter’s legal issues. Is this relevant to a biography of her? O’Donnell has no connection to them, as far as I know. Joeldelusional (talk) 16:36, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

I agree. BLPN.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Doug Weller (talkcontribs) 18:32, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
Daughter's legal issues, unrelated to Rosie, aren't relevant to this article. I'd support removal. Melonkelon (talk) 06:53, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
Maybe it can be shortened to just mention her conviction, etc. Also she is changing her name and has been cutout of Rosie's estate. . Doug Weller talk 08:21, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
It's still there, but it shouldn't be, so I'll go ahead and delete it according to bold. Humblin (talk) 21:11, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Are there no other images available to be used other than this 20 year old photo? She simply does not look like this anymore and a newer image is needed. Hard to believe there is none available on wikimedia commons that are of the last 5 to 10 years ~2026-39226-06 (talk) 01:50, 12 July 2026 (UTC)

No policy obliges us to use recent files. Tbhotch (CC BY-SA 4.0) 03:00, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
It's not about a policy, it's about using a more appropriate photo. This one does not reflect the way she looks currently ~2026-39466-27 (talk) 21:08, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
People are still not obliged to waive their copyright to photographs of O'Donnell or donate them to Wikipedia for the sake of recency. If they do, we thank it. Tbhotch (CC BY-SA 4.0) 21:34, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
The point being made was that this is an outdated photo, and it is surprising a newer one is not available. ~2026-39466-27 (talk) 23:48, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
Most of the celebrity photographs we have are taken at red carpet events and conventions, and O'Donnell does not attend the ones typically frequented by the people who commonly donate such photographs. Another alternative would be contacting her team to donate one, but she hasn't complained about the current one like some celebrities have done (i.e. Zara Larsson). Unless any of that happens, or someone finds her in the street and is interested to donate one, there's little to do here. Tbhotch (CC BY-SA 4.0) 02:02, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
Unfortunate, it is a disservice to the article quality. ~2026-39489-20 (talk) 16:05, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
