XC3 plot interpretations

Due to this game having Kingdom Hearts-level contrivances and Lost-level plot holes, I expect to see many minor squabbles and changes in certain parts of the synopsis.

For example, from what I can tell, Noah, Lanz, and Eunie were not "reincarneted" on Bionis at the end of the story — rather, time on Bionis had stopped, a thousand or so years of Aionios went by in the blink of an eye, and then time on Bionis started again. The Noah we play as and see throughout the game is not the same person we see in the bookending scenes of the game, but rather a clone or backup copy of his existence kept in Origin. 24.207.217.162 (talk) 04:53, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

You are correct in that Prologue Kid Noah and Epilogue Kid Noah are technically the same incarnation. However, Epilogue Kid Noah is implied to retain some of his memories of the Endless Now. That's why the use of the word "reincarnated" might be correct or might not. It's quite muddy because of the cliffhanger.
Pity that the DLC's gonna be set during the Endless Now. I would've loved to see the party reunite. IMDCombee (talk) 04:28, 23 April 2023 (UTC)

Consensus among critics

The consensus among a handful of critics is that this is the best Xenoblade yet. Why did this information get extracted?

Here are several critics stating this:

I imagine nobody provided a source. A lot of those are not considered reliable sources on Wikipedia either. So, for example, if someone made the claim using Forbes and HeyPoorPlayer, they'd probably be reverted too. I didn't check all of these sources, but if they all say what you say they do, there are some good solid sources here - VG247, TouchArcade, I think Cubed3. There's also the issue that "best game in the ___ series yet" is more or less a subjective claim. We can't put it in with out a "some critics consider it the..." qualifier. IMDCombee (talk) 04:31, 23 April 2023 (UTC)

Good Article Status

Hey there, just thought I'd hop in and start a chat. I recently saw that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has Good Article status, and the second I saw that, I was like "we need to get this article to Good Article status." So, I personally added some information to the Battle System area, fixed some things up, added some things in the main summary, ect. If anybody has any input, please, please, please leave them here for other editors and me to look over. If anybody wants to rewrite the Chain Attack section, feel honestly free, I really don't mind, there's probably a lot that needs to get changed about it. It would be great for us to come together and get this looking shiny and clean so we can submit it for nominations later on.

Thanks for everything! Zekerocks11 (talk) 22:53, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

Matthew Vandham

Is Matthew Vandham not a silent protagonist? 31.156.167.47 (talk) 11:42, 11 July 2023 (UTC)

This is probably not the kind of thing to discuss here, but the answer is no. Matthew is not a silent protagonist. LocalTheorist (talk) 02:56, 12 July 2023 (UTC)

Protagonists

If the game itself involves featuring female protagonists, then why is it say like Noah a male character is the leading protagonist? This is all an absurdity. CrasherZone2479 (talk) 1:26, 26 July 2022 (UTC)

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Sergecross73 msg me 14:45, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
Why is it that some keeps putting up "Video games featuring female protagonists" on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 when the only lead protagonist of the game is Noah, who is a male character. Games like Shantae are the real games that has the actual Female protagonists than Xenoblade Chronicles 3. CrasherZone2479 (talk) 15:49, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
I assume whoever added that was considering characters like Mio a protagonist? I'm not saying she is or isn't, but it's far from "absurd". She's one of the main characters and the default playable character for portions of the game. Sergecross73 msg me 15:54, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
But still, it does not change the fact that the game itself is not supposed to be labeled "Video games featuring female protagonists", just because Mio is one of the main characters and one of the default playable characters. CrasherZone2479 (talk) 16:03, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
Again, I didn't say it was, I only said it's easy to see how someone could come to the conclusion. Sergecross73 msg me 16:21, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
That erasing the "Video games featuring female protagonists" was a wiser decision? CrasherZone2479 (talk) 15:34, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
I explicitly did not say that. Is there a language barrier here or something? It feels like I'm making very short, basic comments, and you're not really following me. Sergecross73 msg me 15:50, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
I'm not even trying to start an argument; I was only trying to help you guys with some logic that I would know. CrasherZone2479 (talk) 16:16, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
