IBM Awards
Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Basketball Association/Archive 50#IBM Award addition to infobox regarding the addition of NBA awards. Assadzadeh (talk) 19:16, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
Seeking consensus
Please seek consensus at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Football League before making further edits to an NFL player's infobox. Assadzadeh (talk) 22:25, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- I apologize for that! Certain NFL players didn't have links for things such as Passing Attempts, Completions and Yards. Idk how I would note the edit for that. AloofStorm5476 (talk) 22:35, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, but are they needed? I don’t think links are typically provided for the descriptor in the infobox. That's why it's important to engage in discussions on the WikiProject pages. Assadzadeh (talk) 22:46, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- We ask editors to be bold, so it's not like a discussion always necessarily needs to happen first. However, I was a bit confused that AloofStorm5476 started Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Basketball § Awards to add onto NBA players' articles infobox, but then started adding awards to infoboxes before any responses. Anyways, thanks for discussing at WT:NBA. Welcome again to Wikipedia. Regards. —Bagumba (talk) 23:24, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

Agreed, but if wholesale changes are going to be made, it would be appreciated if it was discussed first. Assadzadeh (talk) 02:19, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

- I note that you are still revising NFL player infoboxes by adding links to things such as Passing Attempts, Completions and Yards when there is an ongoing discussion here. Please engage in the discussion before making further edits. Assadzadeh (talk) 16:11, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for contributing to the article LaDainian Tomlinson. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Please help by adding more sources to the article you edited, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the claims (see here for how to do inline referencing). NBA Community Assist Award
Are you aware of a source that lists all previous NBA Community Assist Awards? The NBA History: All-Time awards link that I provided in the other discussion does not. Assadzadeh (talk) 02:36, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- This is the Wikipedia article that I found, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Community_Assist_Award. Here's another article I found, https://cares.nba.com/category/nba-cares-programs/community-assist-award/ AloofStorm5476 (talk) 02:41, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- The Wikipedia article is the same one that I linked in the subject of this discussion. The NBA Cares website only lists the most recent winners, going back to May 2023. I just thought you might have known of another source. Assadzadeh (talk) 02:56, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- Here's another one I found, https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/awards/by-type/NBA-Community-Assist-Award/38. This one only lists the Season-long award winners. I'm not sure if there is a website that lists the Monthly award winners going back to the 2001-2002 season when it was first introduced. AloofStorm5476 (talk) 03:01, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- I saw this one too, but I didn't realize it only listed the season-long award winners. You may have noticed that I converted the monthly award winners from a list to a table, but there are a lot missing ones, unless no award was awarded during those months. Anyways, thanks for the assistance. Assadzadeh (talk) 03:27, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- No problem! AloofStorm5476 (talk) 03:49, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Improper linking
Using this edit as an example, please stop changing links by pluralizing the topic and nesting the "s" inside of the Wikilink. It creates unnecessary redirects. It is a Wikipedia-wide standard for adding an "s" after the closed bracket, because the link display will still make it look plural but it maintains the non-redirected article in the prose. You are going against long-established sitewide editing standards.
- Touchdowns (with s outside bracket) → still shows link correctly; no redirect
- Touchdowns (moving the s inside of bracket) → unnecessary direct

Hello, I'm Bagumba. I noticed that you recently removed content from List of first overall NBA draft picks without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —Bagumba (talk) 17:15, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- I removed the content from the 1947 draft from the first overall picks by school section because Clifton McNeely never played professional basketball. So it doesn't make sense to have it in that section. AloofStorm5476 (talk) 21:55, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
Pro Bowl MVP
Thank you for your edits, but you're linking the wrong years. OJ Simpson was not the Pro Bowl MVP for the 1972 Pro Bowl. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 14:07, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
