Wishing you a positive outlook for the new year, 2026
Referees
This section is derived from the German wiki. Plus, the football Euros adopt a similar table. I spent ages on the table so for you to say please no is completely out of line in my opinion. If one person finds it interesting that is enough for me. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 19:17, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- @ILoveSport2006: If you feel it should be included start a discussion at the Handball project to have more opinions (and THEN add it back if the consensus is that way). WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is never a good argument and so far no one needed/asked for such a table. Kante4 (talk) 19:19, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- People only add links to shut down an argument and I consider that to be rude. Give me a actual reason why others pages have have a similar table but this one doesn't work? ILoveSport2006 (talk) 19:30, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- @ILoveSport2006: That should be asked to the people who added those and the projects if they approve of those. I am not involved with the German wiki so i don't care if they use it, same for the UEFA Euro. You were bold, i reverted, now you have to get consensus (WP:BRD) and discuss it and i would do it in the handball project to gain more opinions from more editors as we agree to disagree (that is normal). Kante4 (talk) 19:49, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Fine. But no, please no is insanely disrespectful in my opinion. I would never say that to someone on Wikipedia ILoveSport2006 (talk) 19:54, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- @ILoveSport2006: I do not see it as disrepectful but if you feel this way, then i am sorry, it was not my intention. Kante4 (talk) 19:55, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- I accept the apology. If it wasn't your intention to be rude then that's my mistake. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 20:01, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- By the way, I am not asking to add it solely because other articles have the table. My question was simply what makes this article different to other ones that have the table that the table shouldn't be added. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 20:05, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

Notable players section
Hi Kante4, not sure why you removed the Notable Players section on the EHF Euro Squads page. I think the extra information is nice, and could be continued for the Squads pages of future handball events. ProudNewEnglander (talk) 18:46, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- @ProudNewEnglander: All of this is trivia information and where do we make the cut? Don't think it is suited for an encyclopedia, more for a fan site. Also appreciate reaching out but would have loved it without the revert per WP:BRD. Kante4 (talk) 18:50, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- I think some limited trivia is perfectly fine on Wikipedia. I agree that the trivia section shouldn't constitute half of the entire page, but merely having the few categories that were included (age, height, caps & goals) is fine. It's the same idea as listing the players with the most goals, saves, and assists at the end of the Championship page, and AFAIK no one has any issues with that.
- I was not aware of BRD, so thanks for mentioning it. ProudNewEnglander (talk) 19:07, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
Goal of the Month award
Hello, I recently added Gonzalo García’s La Liga Goal of the Month award for January 2026, sourced directly from La Liga’s official website.
The edit was reverted with the summary “nothing that need adding”, so I wanted to ask for clarification. Thanks :) JournalsOfTheLeaves (talk) 03:12, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
- @JournalsOfTheLeaves: Those awards are not added to the honours section. Last discussion was here. Kante4 (talk) 15:58, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
Handball Score after a penalty shootout
The score of the match is displayed as 38–37. The FT and PEN parameters explain how this score was reached. Unlike in some other sports, in handball the penalty-throw score is cumulated with the regular score for result presentation.

Foreign players
If it can’t be keep on the league page, then at least let the hard-work efforts of some people that has made this table and sources from the scratch to have their own pages.
The Indonesian league fans tend to look for information of foreign players of their clubs, who’s still there and who’s not. It’s always been part of it.
I’m currently making a “2025–26 Super League (Indonesia) foreign players” article. And plan to do so with the previous season.
To a European like you and some may redeemed foreign players list as useless, but to some it definitely isn’t, the existence of the foreign players is the main impact of the league. Thus they deserve an articles for it.
2026 European Men's Handball Championship squads
Hello,
I see your revert about the 2026 European Men's Handball Championship squads, but I don't think that the argument relevant, because there is no objective reason that the teams are sorted according to the groups of the preliminary round. During the preliminary round, one may find that ordering useful (maybe) but from the main round and moreover now, ordering by country is far more useful. So it's rather other tournaments that should be changed ;-) LeFnake (talk) 15:25, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
- @LeFnake: Hey, thx for reaching out (love when people discuss and not just revert again). I have to disagree, i feel like ordering them by preliminary round is easier for the reader. I don't see a reason to change it and sort them by name. I guess a discussion with fellow handball (sport?) editors may be useful for this. Kante4 (talk) 15:34, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
- well, I really don't understand in which case a reader would be easier that teams are ordered by preliminary round. If I want to look the squads for the match A vs. B, I find it easier to look alphabetically to team A and then team B instead of finding the right group (in the case it's a match during the preliminary round) and then the two teams. In the opposite, if I want to look at the squads for the finale, I've to find first in which group they were playing during the preliminary round to find them!
- But I guess I'm the one who's wrong since for instance 2022 FIFA World Cup squads or EuroBasket 2025 squads are built with same scheme... LeFnake (talk) 16:29, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

European Water Polo Championship
Hi! I saw a block user editing this page as IP . Changed YUG medals to Serbia etc. But it's hard to revert them due to your edits in betweeen. Can you help fix the page? Pelmeen10 (talk) 09:46, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hey @Pelmeen10:, can you check if it is corrected? Tried my best. Kante4 (talk) 11:10, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
- [] this one still combines them. Also in infobox it says 9th title. Pelmeen10 (talk) 11:21, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Pelmeen10: I copied the old medal table as of 22 Jan (and did infobox). Here is the version before the edits. Kante4 (talk) 11:43, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
- I took medals from this version from 2024 and added 2026 medals, because it has been vandalized a lot. Do you agree with this version? It directly reflects the results above. Pelmeen10 (talk) 12:29, 14 February 2026 (UTC)

Germany women's national football team
Greetings @Kante4,
Thank you for all the work you do on the Germany women's national football team page. In "Players", I have added references for the changes in the squad composition and added notes to the injured players. In "Results and fixtures", I find that it makes more sense to wait until the full tournament/window has completely expired before removing any past matches. I hope you understand my logic.

Packers Game Summaries
Hello there, I notice that you remove game summaries that are unsourced on Green Bay Packers seasons pages, and tell people that sources are needed. Do you have any reasons why stuff in those game summaries need to be sourced? HarryPotter2011 (talk) 21:23, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- @HarryPotter2011: In short, see here. Bit longer, a game recap is one thing, another non-primary source is better especially when stuff is added that is not in the recap. Kante4 (talk) 21:27, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Alright then. So are ESPN, the official Packers website, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Pro Football Reference, and the NFL website reliable sources for game recaps for the team? HarryPotter2011 (talk) 21:31, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- @HarryPotter2011: I would say not packers and nfl as they are primary sources (still fine for me but would prefer other ones). Kante4 (talk) 21:55, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Like what sources would you rather prefer? HarryPotter2011 (talk) 21:59, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- @HarryPotter2011: There are many of them like espn, cbs, nbc and other stuff, if you google the game you get tons of pages and then pick a good one. Personally for me not that big of a deal which one, but i know some editors want non-primary ones so better be safe from the start adding those. Kante4 (talk) 22:05, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
