Space Invaders Atari 8-bit version
I recently added some content to Space Invaders (Atari 8-bit video game). When you have a chance, you may want to check my formatting as I'm not that familiar with the style used in the article.
Also, the article looks very close to GA quality. A bit of clean up and copy editing should easily get it ready. If you need any help, I'd be happy to give it a bit of polish before you nominate it. (Guyinblack25 talk 04:01, 22 June 2026 (UTC))
- Hi! Sorry for the slow response @Guyinblack25:! I think you added them well! I had a lot of trouble getting into this format, but I think its worth it to make editing easier in the long run. If you would like to give it a polish please do, I can take a look at it after. I did think it was close myself but I guess I wimped out on reviews which you have gone above and beyond to add. Thank you! Andrzejbanas (talk) 20:08, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- I made copy edits. Double check the changes to make sure the intended meaning was preserved. I think the last section still needs some more polish, but it should be pretty ready for GAN.
- PS- Back in 2008, I never would have thought old ports like this game and its 2600 counterpart would be able to have their own articles let alone reach GA. Congrats on giving these two life. I'm sure retro gamers appreciate being able to read about them in proper detail. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:00, 24 June 2026 (UTC))
- Thankfully the developer seems happy to be interviewed about his time at Atari, so he's got lots to say! I'll try to check it out in the next couple of days. :) Andrzejbanas (talk) 15:16, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Guyinblack25. Sorry for the slow reply. I made a few changes from your edits. It was basically fine outside one or two bits and bobs. The only big thing I think we need is a source for the genre for this specific version of the game. I don't disagree with your situation, but we should add some source that states the genre. Even if it just says "shooter" or whatever we happen to find. Otherwise, I think we could submit it after. Andrzejbanas (talk) 17:37, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
- Honestly, I think calling Space Invaders a fixed shooter is ok without a source. Space Invaders and its first ports are such basic examples of a fixed shooter that it would be as controversial as calling the Mona Lisa a painting. If it was a more modern game with more complex gameplay (like a shooting game with RPG and rogue-like elements set in an alternate historical fiction), then I be a stickler. That being said, you've done most of the work on the article, so I'll defer to your judgement. (Guyinblack25 talk 20:48, 2 July 2026 (UTC))
- Hmm. I think it would be fine to say its a video game. Unless you are involved with video games, one wouldn't know the genres. (I.e: my parents who have seen me play games, know who Mario is, but they wouldn't know its a platformer). Andrzejbanas (talk) 22:04, 2 July 2026 (UTC)

Not sure if these are enough for a page. Timur9008 (talk) 01:48, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
- Some of these seem good. You basically have to look at them to see if there is content in them that discusses the game either in term of history (i.e: about the production, some sort of documentation that doesn't read like a database entry or a press release). Or something critical (i.e: reception of the game, where it fits in history, etc.) Like, I wouldn't use that Kotaku database entry for example as it does not seem to to fill any of those. List of JJBA video games concern resolved
Hi! I hope you're doing alright. A while back, you said that one of the statements about Joseph Joestar in the List of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure video games was unsourced, and the only sources I could find were blogs, so I removed it. Is there anything else I need to do?
As always, thanks for your help and support! The article wouldn't be anywhere near as good as it is without you! :D - OpalYosutebito 『talk』 『articles I want to eat』 04:24, 26 June 2026 (UTC)

Problem with case-sensitive reference names (James Pond 2)
Hi there,
I noticed that James Pond 2 apparently had a missing/undefined reference that appears to date back to this edit. I wasn't sure what you meant to do at first, but I notice it was moved elsewhere under the name "EGM".
This should have worked, but as far as I can tell, the problem is that reference names are case sensitive, so "egm" didn't match "EGM".
It's an understandable and minor mistake, but I thought I should mention it anyway.
Thanks for your contibution and all the best, Ubcule (talk) 18:10, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! Sorry for the mistake! I'll be more careful for further edits. I appreciate you pointing it out. Andrzejbanas (talk) 17:24, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

Good faith
Can you revert Killer Klowns from Outer Space in good faith because it's not a direct parody ~2026-43398-10 (talk) 01:39, 7 August 2026 (UTC)
- Remove the American parody films Category and if you want you can replace it with parodies of horror Category since there was minor parodies specially in the beginning. ~2026-43398-10 (talk) 01:41, 7 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi. Asking me, or anyone, more than once in less than an hour is not going to help your cause. I would suggest talking about it on the films talk page or removing it on your own if you really think its incorrectly added. Thanks. Andrzejbanas (talk) 01:48, 7 August 2026 (UTC)
Good article nominations RfC
Hi Andrzejbanas,
There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.
By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.
Thank you for your contributions to the good articles project, and I look forward to your input! (in solidarity), JacobTheRox(talk|contributions) 16:02, 11 August 2026 (UTC)

DYK for Visual novel
On 3 September 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Visual novel, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Shizuku was the first game to be described as a visual novel? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Visual novel. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (Visual novel), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Regarding Japanese Magazines
Hello there and i hope you're doing well! I noticed that you did two articles about Famicom magazines. In case you plan to make an article for Marukatsu Famicom, i'll leave you a link to a cover of the very first Marukatsu Famicom issue for the infobox: (1). I hope that helps and have a good day :) (P.S. - I updated the link in question) Roberth Martinez (talk) 18:26, 17 September 2026 (UTC)
- Haha! What a cover. Thank you! I was more tempted to try and spruce up the Famitsu article first or maybe work on creating other ones that are also missing that aren't part of that "big four" for Nintendo magazines. I was surprised I could make an article about Famicom Hisshoubon that was not a mess, but I think we were long overdue to have one about it.
- Turns out, these magazines were among the most cited magazines that did not have articles. As useful as these magazines are for getting information (interviews/reviews/etc.), I felt it was time to have some context for the reviewer about what these magazines were. Thankfully in the past few years there has been writing on them so we could actually make it happen! Andrzejbanas (talk) 18:32, 17 September 2026 (UTC)
Do you still have access to Retro Gamer No. 231?
I just finished writing The Challenge of Nexar, and will probably be moving on to Flash Gordon soon. I noticed you used a bunch of Retro Gamer sources which talk about Sirius Software and David Lubar in the Fantastic Voyage article. Specifically there was an interview titled "Desert Island Disks: David Lubar" in Retro Gamer No. 231. Do you still have access to this? I can't find a not paywalled access online and I was wondering if it had good material on these two games. Whipmywillows (talk) 08:36, 19 September 2026 (UTC)
- I can check it out for you! I'll get back to you when I have a free moment at my PC. Andrzejbanas (talk) 16:10, 19 September 2026 (UTC)
- On checking there is not even a mention of Challenge of Nexar. There is a very brief mention of Flash Gordon but nothing really substantial unfortunately. Just the Retro Gamer author saying it showcased how far Lubar's coding had come at the time. :/ Andrzejbanas (talk) 13:49, 20 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for checking! Disappointing, but that about matches how much they come up in his other interviews. Oh well. Whipmywillows (talk) 19:02, 20 September 2026 (UTC)
