Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Rajendra I, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless that text is available under a suitable free license. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:18, 18 June 2025 (UTC)

June 2025

Please get in the habit of using the Preview function - your edit at Chola military wrecked the infobox. I'll attach an automated message with links below. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 16:02, 28 June 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Chola military, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 16:02, 28 June 2025 (UTC)

Recent edit reversion

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 10:57, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Edit Reversion to Kochchadaiyan Ranadhira

Hi, I reverted an edit that changed text in a way that did not make sense.

Thanks for your other edits to the page, please just be careful that each edit alone makes sense, and don't leave the published page in a confusing state! Thanks! Timtjtim (talk) 09:30, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

thank you! Itsmethunder9783 (talk) 09:33, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Kulottunga I into Chalukya–Chola wars. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:06, 31 July 2025 (UTC)

Rajendra I

Information icon Hello, I'm Jay8g. An edit that you recently made to Rajendra I seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. August 2025

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Rajadhiraja I. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. Tenshi! (Talk page) 13:21, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:52, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

Your user page

Hi. Could you move the contents of your user page either to a subpage or to a draft article? User pages that look like Wikipedia articles are against policy. --RegentsPark (comment) 11:34, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Varman (surname), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Ekdalian (talk) 12:01, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Hi Itsmethunder9783! I noticed that you recently made an edit and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Ekdalian (talk) 12:02, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Battle of Maski when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Battle of Maski moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Battle of Maski. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it has too many errors of formatting. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 14:27, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jatavarman Sundara Pandyan I, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gajapati was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Feedback
The reviewer, RangersRus, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the subject, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Battle of Maski to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
  • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
  • If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.

When looking at the source update, I still do not find significant coverage on the subject "Battle of Maski" from 1019 - 1020 CE. One of the source by Nilakanta also doubt exaggeration in inscription. RangersRus (talk) 13:27, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
Chola Inscriptions found in karnataka , maski how it's Exaggerated. nilakanda sastri clearly tell Battle of maski Rajendra chola gain victory and his Rattapadi conquest was Exaggerated. LLM use

Please clarify if you have used AI tools, such as ChatGPT, in the process of your editing. Please note that doing so is generally not allowed. Fermiboson (talk) 12:24, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

This was posted on my talk page by this user. RangersRus (talk) 13:31, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you and noted. (I had a bit of a heart attack as I thought I had somehow misread something and posted a notice on your talk page... probably should take a break from RCP...) Fermiboson (talk) 13:47, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
iam Using Chat gpt ai tool for grammer mistake of my own text with academic sources and historians claims and iam creating pages with my own text and writtings using strong citation and iam only use chat gpt for grammer mistakes correction. Iam not fully copy paste chat gpt or any ai tool text here . Thank you! Hinatarex (talk) 14:16, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
Please do not use ChatGPT to "copyedit" your text, as the LLM will generally introduce various artifacts and modify the meaning of the text which make it unsuitable for an encyclopaedia. Doing so also falls outside of the purview of basic copyediting exemption to NEWLLM from a policy perspective. We much prefer your imperfect text than anything processed by an AI as grammar mistakes are easily fixable while AI-related issues are not. Moving forward please write the text entirely by yourself and refrain from using AI tools to process what you have written. Fermiboson (talk) 15:28, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
Thankyou ! Now iam making own content of my text and put strong Citation and reliable source for wikipedia rulers and conditions. Hinatarex (talk) 15:30, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
