Speedy deletion nomination of Leong Chan-Hoong

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Leong Chan-Hoong requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://lkyspp.nus.edu.sg/faculty/leong-chan-hoong/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa (talk) 02:30, 20 April 2016 (UTC)

Page move
Hello. I have reverted the page move of List of Hwa Chong Institution people as it was a potentially controversial move. In addition, it messed up the talk page moves (I have requested at RM to fix it). For the moment (for a few hours), I would suggest not editing that page. Once the talk page move has been fixed, you can start a requested move (See WP:RM#CM) for moving the page. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 13:43, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to National Library Board. When you were adding content to the page, you added duplicate arguments to a template which can cause issues with how the template is rendered. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find these errors as they will display in yellow at the top of the page. Thanks. - Hi User:Zackmann08, thanks for pointing out, might have been an overlook especially for articles with messy parameters. Will keep an extra look out on this duplication. JohnLim99 (talk) 07:24, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Zackmann08: For this article Building and Construction Authority simply reverting back the edits isn't constructive at all. Please consider resolving the erroneous parameter or ping instead. With kind regardsJohnLim99 (talk) 07:30, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- If it was one or two, I would have fixed it for you, as I did the first few times. When you make the same mistake repeatedly over multiple days and ignore my first attempts to correct you, it is easier to just revert and make you learn to stop repeating the same mistake over and over. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 07:33, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Zackmann08:Acknowledged. Once again, apologies it it have frustrated you for the oversight. It also highlight the state of mess for most of the infoboxes. I DO do previews just that a couple of them did slide past my reviews (just commenting these errors could be in even greater amounts if i had't do previews). Hope this is a closure on this instead of wasting time on unfriendly exchanges. JohnLim99 (talk) 07:39, 29 October 2025 (UTC)

Not to pile on, but as Zackmann08 has mentioned above, you really need to be using Preview. Your changes at Agency for Science, Technology and Research damaged the infobox.
Wikipedia formatting is fussy and it's always possible for errors to slip through, but please do your best to prevent them. If you're editing an infobox, an easy trick is to use Preview, then do a quick search of the page for the pipe character ( | ). Any errors will show up. It's an extra step, but it's quick, and helps you make sure you're not damaging the page. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 14:41, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
