You can blank all the so called ill-thought
warnings you want, the fact remains YOUR edits broke the page because you refuse to do the very basic step of previewing your work. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 14:08, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry if your annoyed, but the page is not "broke", it has an under construction tag, and I'm working on it now. If you will remind me that there is a preview button then I cannot read any further than that. I appreciate your more considered reply. Victuallers (talk) 14:14, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
- NOW there is an UC tag, there wasn't before. Why do you continue use to add
|nationality=to infoboxes? Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 14:19, 30 March 2026 (UTC)- Thx for the caps. Good question, I don't. There is a tool called prepbio that creates a pretty good basis for an article. You may think that the draft it creates is "broke" (v.odd word use imo), but I and others find prepbio very useful. Maybe I should ask why should I care? I have a choice between adding stuff to a new article or deleting a clause that nobody is ever going to see. Why do you care, it does no harm to anybody? Victuallers (talk) 14:36, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
- Rather than squabbling let me see if I can fix the cause? I'm unfamiliar with this prepbio tool... Can you point me to it and I will fix the issue there? Would appreciate your help. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 04:25, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
- Prepbio is here and it's written by one of the creators of this wonderful project. It has several, now archaic, features but it is used by quite a few editors. Good luck. Victuallers (talk) 07:30, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
- Appreciate the info. FWIW, there is a purpose behind tracking the use of unknown parameters. Your point about
deleting a clause that nobody is ever going to see
is 100% valid in this case. However, when those categories are empty, it allows us to catch vandalism which happens on a daily basis. One example I just fixed was Special:Diff/1346476148 which introduced an unknown parameter when a vandal blanked info. Now I want to be clear, your edits were not vandalism. But they frustrate my and other editors efforts because we try to keep those categories empty as the vast majority of new entries in the category are, in fact, some form of vandalism. - Hope that makes a bit of sense. I could have and should have been a bit more explanatory in my initial post and for that I apologize. Keep up your good work. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 02:21, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Jennifer Gibbons died 1993.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Jennifer Gibbons died 1993.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. REAL 💬 ⬆ 18:40, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
