Hello, I'm Muboshgu. Your recent edit to the page David Bednar (baseball) appears to have included premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been undone for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. Please cite a reliable source confirming its completion or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think there has been a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.  Muboshgu (talk) 19:59, 31 July 2025 (UTC)

Notability

Dear new editor, please let me point you to our policy on notability (click the blue links for explanations): WP:GNG. Since you have admitted on a public forum that you wrote this article about your family member, it creates a conflict of interest between you and the Wikimedia Foundation, a charity. Under normal circumstances, this is no big deal. However, we "live in interesting times," just when the richest human being wants to destroy us, so you picked an inauspicious time to do this. Again, this isn't personal; we are, like your ancestor, fighting against larger forces than us. Bearian (talk) 08:46, 1 August 2025 (UTC)

Hi @LoganPollard331
Just following up on my colleague's note. It's a wonderful idea that you want to have a tribute to your family member, but Wikipedia is not the place for this. If you'd like the text back to include it on another site, I'm happy to provide it to you. Star Mississippi 13:36, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
Do you know of any other sites I can put it on? LoganPollard331 (talk) 14:26, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
I don't, unfortunately @LoganPollard331 as this isn't an area in which I'm active.
Maybe some genealogy ones have a user-generated component? Star Mississippi 14:29, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
There are lots of places that will let you set up a free family blog. You could start up one with the history of your family members and share the link so that all of your family members could benefit from your research and writing skills. Liz Read! Talk! 02:52, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
