New page reviewer granted

Hi Mekomo, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! signed, Rosguill talk 20:05, 28 February 2025 (UTC)

Saverio Monachino
Hi Mekomo. You draftified Saverio Monachino, but the creator moved it back to the mainspace. If you feel the subject fails to meet WP:NAUTHOR, then you can nominate the article for deletion via WP:AFD. At first glance, I think that would be the case based on the sources currently cited, but I haven't done any Googling to see if better sources can be found. FWIW, I just stumbled across the article after checking on the photo being used in it, and I'm just notifying you about as a courtesy. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:01, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for notifying me. The subject fails all notability guidelines based on the sources cited in the article but I did not perform a search to determine whether there are available sources to prove their notability or not. I will look into that when I'm able to. Mekomo (talk) 12:09, 30 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello,
On my article for Leo Mujić, the message was added saying that it was an orphan article. I do not believe this to be the case anymore. Can the article be re-reviewed somehow?

Can you please?
Can you please adopt a more "create/expand something new instead of delete everything that another person created" attitude? Not every person can be immediately notable, time is necessary, esp. from these smaller, less-developed countries. I just planted the seed for someone who might become more popular in the future. There is already one source and I am sure very soon there will be more coming if you just let the article be for a while. I will come back to it soon, hopefully. I am so tired of all you Wikipedia editors just tagging every effort I make with all your tags. In the meantime, thank you for the utter lack of collegiality and understanding for the other. Zagrebite (talk) 13:02, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for your effort in building this encyclopedia. I want to let you know that tags on articles you create are not deliberate effort to undermine your work or specifically targeting you, the tags and the actions of other editors on articles you create are simply enforcement of Wikipedia guidelines and standard. Every single article and especially biographies of living persons must comply with general and specific notability guidelines. These guidelines are what make Wikipedia one of the most trusted and reliable encyclopedia
- Kindly take some time to learn about notability guidelines before creating fresh articles again. Mekomo (talk) 13:20, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Zagrebite, imagine scolding another editor, while violating an important policy like notability. Do you expect other editors to clean up after you? Wikipedia cannot establish notability since motability is based on existing sources. We cannot predict whether a subject will become notable or not (WP:CRYSTALBALL). If they are not notable, there will not be an article on them. It is pretty simple. Furthermore, you are writing about living people and there is WP:BLP for that as well. It is pretty irresponsible to make such articles without ensuring that they conform with the policies. I will draftify those articles. If you fail to demonstrate that they are notable, then the right course is only to delete them. StephenMacky1 (talk) 21:38, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
NPP Award for 2025
January–February 2026 NPP drive - Phase 2

Welcome to Phase 2 of the January–February 2026 NPP drive. During Phase 1, we reviewed 16,658 articles and 4,416 redirects, and there is currently a backlog of 16,475 articles and 23,782 redirects in the queue. Fantastic job! Completing 22,502 patrols in the first phase made a significant dent in the backlog. Let's keep our foot on the gas for Phase 2, and I hope we can achieve even more reviews than Phase 1. Best of luck!

Gender equity in legal professions
In your AfD close at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gender equity in legal professions, you conclude there was a consensus to merge to Gender equality, but mid-way through that discussion there was a more specific target suggested, Gender inequality#Professional education and careers, and no counter-argument to this target. In your close, you didn't mention Gender inequality as a possibility. Are you happy for a merge to this alternative target instead? Klbrain (talk) 16:26, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello Mekomo:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
