Speedy deletion nomination of Columbus-class ocean liner

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Columbus-class ocean liner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of SS Empire Star (1919)
Hello Rms mauretania2 1938 cunard,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Harrz, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, SS Empire Star (1919), for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at Draft:SS Empire Star (1919). Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. To avoid this in the future, consider using the search function to find pages that already cover what you want to write about.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Harrz}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Proposed deletion of SS Empire Star (1919)

The article SS Empire Star (1919) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Likely fails WP:GNG, as a source check revealed only trivial mentions in newspapers and ship catalogues. This ship did exist, but it is likely not notable.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. ~2026-22016 (talk) 02:31, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi Rms mauretania2 1938 cunard! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Trump-class battleship and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. —Opecuted (talk) 06:02, 11 January 2026 (UTC)

Navali Mechaniche Affini moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Navali Mechaniche Affini, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of MV Atlantic Heron

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on MV Atlantic Heron requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Fram (talk) 16:08, 7 January 2026 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
Hello Rms mauretania2 1938 cunard! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:13, 8 January 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Atlantic Heron (1984 ship)

The article Atlantic Heron (1984 ship) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time.

How to contribute
@Rms mauretania2 1938 cunard: I've noticed that all 6 of the pages that you have created have been moved to draftspace and Atlantic Heron (1984 ship) and SS Empire Star (1919) are currently proposed or nominated for deletion.
These articles should not be added to mainspace (the main part of the encyclopedia) until they were developed to Wikipedia standards.
Please:
- read WP:42, it contains the cliff notes version of WP:GNG;
- only start articles using the AfC process, you can do this by going to DRAFTS and using the Create a new draft dialog box to start a new page;
- if one of your pages is PRODed, consider moving it back to draftspace yourself (or asking someone else to) so that you're able to develop it in your own time and it's not then immediately nominated for deletion (ie AFDed);
- don't move a page from draftspace back to mainspace if it's not developed.
If you have any questions, you can ask experienced editors in the Teahouse.

- This discussion continues.
- I know it got closed, but it was reopened. You may be confused. This situation is intimidating, and it would be easy to just walk away. Don't do that.
- Folks have given you a road map. Follow it and learn. Work in your work space on drafts. And learn to cite properly.
- I am guessing that you are adverse. I hope you are not soured on contributing to Wikipedia. We are all volunteers here.
- You should assume that the editors at WP:ANI are open-minded and want you here.
- A response will help. Ignoring it will not make it go away! Your conduct is defensible, particularly if you apologize (which is hard to do, I know), show contrition and aver an intent to try to do better in the future. Excuse and not knowing the rules is an important defense. In my opinion, confession and avoidance is the best approach. See Atonement. Your Wikipedia 'fate' is in your hands.
- Conversely, I think silence will be used against you.
- I am not your lawyer. But I would be disappointed to see you blocked when this can be smoothed over for now.
- We do not know each other. But I hate to lose a potentially good editor who may be deterred or blocked.
- Best to you. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 11:20, 4 February 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of List of lake freighters (selected ships)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on List of lake freighters (selected ships) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:SS Frank Purnell

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:SS Frank Purnell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
