For a formal diagnosis, the described symptoms need to have been present for at least six months (according to the DSM-5) or one month (according to the ICD-11).[10][19] Is this correct? Many people with schizophrenia have other mental disorders, especially mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders, as well as obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD).[10] Complementary diseases are bipolarity, demenz, amnesia, Parkinson in older age, ADS, chronic pain, autismus. It is important to note that once you are schizophrenic, you observe negative and positive symptomatic. Negative shows up as depressive behavior, lack of motivation, lack of wording less developed speaking and vocabulary usage. Also, you think more about problems which drags you down. Thoughts typically are recurring and in circles. After a burn out which is usually the cause of a crisis. The positive symptomatics are the above mentioned hallucinations. In all forms and shapes. I am no expert of Biography of Living Persons, so my insight will not be worth much. Generally speaking, the article seems like a pretty good start and likely to be accepted when the draft is moved to mainspace. However, I would add an Infobox person, a Short description, and add the urls to the Cite web templates (see the red notices in the references section at the bottom). Well in this case there are multiple articles in the subcategory. And the seemingly universal standard for American places is Geography -> Landforms -> Bodies of Water -> then rivers. Don't multiple BOW or River articles count for the landforms cat. Should the whole schema change just because categorization is incomplete? SamuelNelsonGISP (talk) 04:18, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

The usual Geography → Landforms → Bodies of water → Rivers tree is not the problem. The issue is that this landforms category only has one direct entry right now. A category can be populated with articles or with subcategories, but it should still have multiple direct entries if it is going to be useful. The river articles lower down the tree populate the rivers/bodies-of-water categories, not the landforms category itself. Right now, the landforms category is redundant, and the norm is to only create categories that are currently helpful for navigation. Until there are other Des Moines landform articles or subcategories to add, Category:Bodies of water of Des Moines, Iowa should go directly under Category:Geography of Des Moines, Iowa. ^SMason_Garrison 04:36, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

Well, if you want to create a new article, you can type into the wikipedia search bar Draft:New Article Title Here and you can click the resulting red link to start the new draft. What matters is whether the image rights holder allows for its usage on Wikipedia. If the image is found in wikimedia commons or is otherwise in the public domain, you can safely use it. If you take it yourself and upload it to wikimedia commons it can also be added to an article. Some images found online may be able to be added to Wikipedia but you cannot assume it and need to research Wikipedia's policy and understand the images copyright status. Well most of my paraphrase is a direct quote of a definition. I was going to work more on that paragraph before submitting my draft. I considered using quotes or making it more obvious that it was a direct quote but I was undecided as of yet. Furthermore, I found a better source that I have no incorporated yet so I was probably going to rewrite that section anyway based on the official 1993 Des Moines city council resolutions pertaining to neighborhoods.

I assume a bot or some semi-automated process enabled you to notice this potential infringement and I do not begrudge you for removing the section and I intend to not submit a draft article until it is written accordingly to Wikipedia's guidelines. SamuelNelsonGISP (talk) 19:14, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

Hoping you can help with the appropriate place and format to put this for dispute resolution.

The user @GiantSnowman who is an admin with a long history of Wikipedia edits, created the page for soccer player/teacher Tom Kouzmanis back in 2008. Since then, they have single handedly and repeatedly removed every attempt by users to add factual info about this person’s sexual misconduct against minors which is well documented and in the public domain.

I was the latest user to attempt to add this info back in, and @GiantSnowman intimidated me and threatened to block me from further edits. Even after other users helped to definitely establish that the teacher and sexual assailant were the same person, GiantSnowman continued to discount my opinion on the page.

I believe that while we are certainly at two extremes of Wikipedia editing history, @GiantSnowman is not displaying good faith or appropriate admin behaviour, and their future edits on this page should be closely monitored.

I believe I have responded appropriately to their comments, showing a desire to learn the appropriate methods and sourcing and engaging in discussion, while GiantSnowman has tried to suppress and intimidate me out of participation. --Lifelonglearner1277 (talk) 10:52, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello, thank you for reaching out. I do not really edit articles about people much so I'm not too familiar with the policies and this issue seems complicated. Though, I have reviewed the article, it's talk page, and edit history.

I thought the talk page comment about, his soccer career being notable but not as much his teaching was interesting, and based on that an all the versions of the article in the past, the current one that mentions teaching and misconduct and reservation seems to be proportional detail to me. Also, it seems you were asked to have evidence of his conviction, not just charges, which I have not seen you produce. That obviously makes a big difference.

I bet as an admin, he has to pay particular attention to articles were potential defamatory material keeps getting added. So him repeatedly removing content is not a sinister plot to hide the truth, but to be safely within wikipedias guidelines about living persons.

I think that's the confusion. You attest to personally experience this man and obviously detest his actions, but that doesn't nor should it, entirely be communicated on Wikipedia. The point of the article is not to communicate your subjective impression of him, regardless of how valid.

I hope this helps. I can imagine your frustration over this and even disappointment with me not 'siding' with you, but I can't help but be quite sympathetic to the admins perspective. SamuelNelsonGISP (talk) 13:17, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

I apologize for not being too familiar with the sort of articles you are editing. It seems one of your drafts was accepted, perhaps there is something you did well in that article that you could incorporate in other articles. You could always look at similar articles to the one you are writing for ideas about what to include or how to write it. As for using an LLM, I do not know how individual New Article Reviewers come to the conclusion that a draft used a LLM, I am sure false positives may be a problem with that. I scanned one of your rejected articles and it doesn't seem to me to be an LLM written article, but I'm going of vibes a not a empirical rubric or using AI analysis tools.
