New pages patrol January–February 2026 Backlog drive

January–February 2026 Backlog Drive | New pages patrol

New Pages Patrol is hosting a one-time, two-month experimental backlog drive aimed at reducing the backlog. This will be a combo drive: both articles and redirects will earn points.

  • The drive will run from 1 January to 28 February 2026.
  • The drive is divided into two phases. Participants may take part in either phase or across both phases, depending on availability.
  • Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled during the drive.
  • Two-month drive-exclusive barnstars will be awarded to eligible participants.
  • Each article review earns 1 point, while each redirect review earns 0.2 points.
  • Streak awards will be granted based on consistently meeting weekly point thresholds.
  • Barnstars will also be awarded for re-reviewing articles previously reviewed by other patrollers during the drive.
  • Interested in participating? Sign up here.

Question from Skye the Cat (18:24, 2 February 2026)

Hello, I'm Luna, or Skye as I like to call myself. I am trying to add signs to Road Sign articles but I'm not sure what would be considered reputable or clean enough. --Skye the Cat (talk) 18:24, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Skye the Cat. Can you elaborate a bit more? What are you concerned about re reputability or cleanliness? Can you give me an example? Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 18:34, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
Well, I more meant cleanliness, as the Canada one is written in order of the MUTCDC numbers. Re-reputability could be helpful as well, but I source from Wikimedia Commons for the most part.
This may not be helpful, but I have tried my best to explain.
Skye the Cat (talk) 17:57, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
I'm still not quite sure what you're getting at, but I suggest that you press on with adding signs if you consider that it will improve the article in question. If someone reverts you, then talk about it on the article's talk page. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 19:31, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_signs_in_Canada (I added some in the "Other Signs" section and it is ordered wrong, you will notice when the (letter)A/B(number) on the top is gone Skye the Cat (talk) 21:41, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Polynomics (23:19, 2 February 2026)

Hi. No doubt you get asked this question a lot. Is the Oxford comma standard usage in Wikipedia? In the sentence "<he> restructured the administration, reduced corruption, and revived the empire’s finances." I would normally remove the comma before "and". Thanks! --Polynomics (talk) 23:19, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Polynomics. See MOS:OXFORD, which says Editors may use either convention so long as each article is internally consistent. Generally, those who contribute early on to an article get to decide on whether Oxford commas are used or not. Once that decision has been made for an article, future contributors should abide by that decision and tailor their contributions accordingly. Hope that helps! Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 23:53, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Ross Macnaughton (17:31, 7 February 2026)

Hi, I have studied the Canada Pension Plan as a professor emeritus for ten years. There is a cover-up in Canada that Premier Smith will not join. Our mainstream media has not covered the most newsworthy story in years. I am trying to bring truth to Canadians with my edit, loaded with links verifying my claims. Please let me know what part of my edit is not acceptable, if any, www.fixthecpp.ca is my website, probably used by Premier Smith to demand Alberta's share of Canada's CPP fund. --Ross Macnaughton (talk) 17:31, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Ross Macnaughton. Wikipedia is not the place to right great wrongs. If I can help you with any other questions about contributing to Wikipedia, let me know. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 17:40, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Ib6f23 (18:29, 11 February 2026)

Hi and thanks so much for your help! I've created the following page in Spanish and it looks like it's been approved: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Baez Then I translated the same page to English and I see it's in personal draft mode: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ib6f23/Jesse_Baez How can I get the English version approved too? Many thanks!! --Ib6f23 (talk) 18:29, 11 February 2026 (UTC)

I suggest that you cut'n'paste the entire userspace draft in English over the top of your current draft Draft:Jesse Baez and then submit from there. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 18:45, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
OK! I've done that and updated the language on Draft:Jesse Baez. Now I just have to wait for someone for an editor to recheck it? Thank you! :) Ib6f23 (talk) 18:52, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
Yep, an articles for creation reviewer will get to it in due course. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 19:16, 11 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Bad at pseudonyms (20:23, 12 February 2026)

Hello again! I have another question about my draft for [1992 Pennsylvania Brachytherapy Incident] How much mention of the patient's background (career and such) would be appropriate? Relatedly, would it be okay to include her name? I don't know what the etiquette about that is and I'm worried about being disrespectful. --Bad at pseudonyms (talk) 20:23, 12 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello. If her name is included in the reliable sources you're using for the article, then it would be fine to include it in the article. If her background and career are germane to the incident (and are in the reliable sources), then by all means include it. If they aren't, then don't. Useful reading is probably WP:DUE, WP:UNDUE and some of the privacy bits of WP:BLP. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 21:17, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
She died in the incident, though, so I'd assume WP:BLP doesn't apply Bad at pseudonyms (talk) 12:47, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
Yes, understood, but if you are concerned about etiquette and being respectful, then following some of the guidelines in WP:BLP about personal privacy will probably help with that. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 13:18, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
Her background isn't really relevant, aside from the fact that she lived in a nursing home at the time (already included). Bad at pseudonyms (talk) 13:32, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
In which case, I'd continue to leave it out. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 13:55, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:The Boy Who Grew Dragons

Hello, SunloungerFrog. This message concerns the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "The Boy Who Grew Dragons".

Drafts that go unedited for six months are eligible for deletion, in accordance with our draftspace policy, and this one has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission, and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you read this, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the draft so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! DreamRimmer bot II (talk) 13:24, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

Summarize 1 Samuel 25 so kids ages 7-11 can understand in about 10 minutes. --JDChic (talk) 17:43, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Dr.ClaireSmith (14:23, 17 February 2026)

I want to change the further reading section on the Amelogenesis imperfecta page. Is there any easy way to select and include articles cited in the text of the article already? Thanks! --Dr.ClaireSmith (talk) 14:23, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Dr.ClaireSmith. Generally, you should not include in a Further reading section those sources that are already cited as references : see MOS:FURTHER. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 14:46, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
Ok, I will delete the existing section then as I believe those existing sources are quite out of date anyway. Thanks! Dr.ClaireSmith (talk) 14:50, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
I suggest that you remove them one at a time, and note in the edit summary that you are removing them because they are out of date. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 15:03, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Mulder1013cgb (01:00, 20 February 2026)

How easy or hard is it to begin editing? Do you have to be somebody with a college degree and a high IQ? Or can an ordinary average guy like me really do it and do it right? That's all I want to know. Is it for me? Will I enjoy doing it? I've never edited a thing in my life, let's start at the beginning of it then shall we? Have a great day or night my friend. --Mulder1013cgb (talk) 01:00, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Mulder1013cgb. Wikipedia is "the encyclopedia that anyone can edit" - so you can definitely do it. As to whether you will enjoy it, only you can decide that. There are certainly lots of different ways that editors can contribute - I've left you some links on your Talk page, and I might suggest that you try the "Suggested edits" module top left on your homepage, or the Task Center. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 05:51, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Bubbarae91 on Constitution of Cuba (10:15, 20 February 2026)

I noticed that two reference sources were fraudulent. On the “Constitution of Cuba” page, references 41 and 42 don’t actually exist. Can I flag these imaginary reference articles for review? What’s the first step here? TIA for advice, I’ve never edited before. --Bubbarae91 (talk) 10:15, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Bubbarae91. What I suspect is that the references existed once, but the URLs have since gone dead. You have a couple of choices: first, try searching for the articles using the title, and if you find them at a new address or archived somewhere, you can update the URLs. Alternatively, mark the references with {{dead link}}. There's more information at WP:404. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 10:32, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from DownscopeTheBoatCaptain (17:52, 20 February 2026)

How do I upload images I've taken onto Wikipedia? --DownscopeTheBoatCaptain (talk) 17:52, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi @DownscopeTheBoatCaptain. First of all, if you want to make your pictures widely available (and be able to use them on English Wikipedia), you should probably upload them to Wikimedia Commons, the instructions for which are here. If you actually want to upload them to English Wikipedia only, then you should use the Wikipedia:File upload wizard. Hope that helps! Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 18:00, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you, lots. DownscopeTheBoatCaptain (talk) 18:05, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Bhaskar Gulabchandra Choudhary (10:01, 22 February 2026)

how i can add my page --Bhaskar Gulabchandra Choudhary (talk) 10:01, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

What page are you trying to add? Before you get into writing new articles, I'd strongly recommend that you get some experience of just making edits to existing pages first: take a look at the suggested tasks page. However, if you're really keen to write an article from scratch, read through Help:Your first article first, then use the article wizard to guide you through the process. Some general suggestions from me:
  • The most important thing is to gather the sources from which you'll write the article first. Don't be tempted to write the article up front and then find the sources to back it up, because that's difficult.
  • Very generally, you will need three reliable independent sources with significant coverage of the subject to demonstrate that the subject is sufficiently notable to warrant its own article. There's useful information about how to choose good sources and avoid bad sources here.
  • Make sure you use your own words to write the article - don't plagiarise your sources, because copyright violations are taken seriously on Wikipedia.
  • Don't use a chatbot or other kind of AI to generate an article - they don't do a good job at all, and your article will probably end up getting deleted.
  • Use draftspace or your sandbox to draft your article, rather than create it first off in mainspace. That will allow you to take your time. When it's ready, just move it to mainspace.
Good luck! Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 10:27, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

Perverting the Truth

Why have you been removing factual information I have been adding to Wikipedia pages? ~2025-40179-49 (talk) 20:59, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

I guess you are talking about your edits to Huw Aaron that I reverted. If you add information, particularly to a biography of a living person, it must be sourced to a reliable source that has been published so that it can be verified. You're not allowed to just add stuff that you know. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 21:09, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Matfromnagoya (06:36, 24 February 2026)

Hello.

I would like to translate (I know that my account does not allow it) or at least create an English version of the folloiwng Wiki page: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E8%90%AC%E4%B9%97%E9%86%B8%E9%80%A0

Ideally, I need a French version as well.

Could you please help me understadn how to proceed? Thank you. --Matfromnagoya (talk) 06:36, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

If you would like to create an article in English about the sake distillery at ja:萬乗醸造, read Help:Your first article and use the Wikipedia:Article wizard. If you are going to translate the Japanese article, for licensing purposes, you must attribute the original article: see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia § Translating from other language Wikimedia projects.
Before you get into writing new articles, I'd strongly recommend that you get some experience of just making edits to existing pages first: take a look at the suggested tasks page. However, if you're really keen to write an article from scratch, here are some general points from me:
  • The most important thing is to gather the sources from which you'll write the article first. Don't be tempted to write the article up front and then find the sources to back it up, because that's difficult.
  • Very generally, you will need three reliable independent sources with significant coverage of the subject to demonstrate that the subject is sufficiently notable to warrant its own article. There's useful information about how to choose good sources and avoid bad sources here. Note that other language wikipedias sometimes have different notability guidelines, so an article that is permissible on jawiki may not be suitable for enwiki. The quality of the sources is key.
Good luck! On the French version, I can't help: you will have to do that on French Wikipedia. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 10:18, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from RetiredCIEIO (13:57, 24 February 2026)

Hi SunloungerFrog, I edited a page for Rasta Thomas. There are two instances of a citation that refer to a page only, and the main source is not identified. See [2] Eichenbaum (2008), p. 188 How is this addressed? Thanks Can you see my history of edited pages? If not, this is the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasta_Thomas --RetiredCIEIO (talk) 13:57, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi @RetiredCIEIO in this case, the references are to the book listed in the bibliography. That is a fairly standard way of making many references to a single source: see Help:Shortened footnotes. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 10:09, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you. While looking, I didn't scroll to the bottom of the page. RetiredCIEIO (talk) 14:14, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
No problem. It's easily done. It would have been slightly more elegant had the original editor used the {{sfnp}} template for the shortened footnotes, because then there would have been an actual link from the shortened footnote in the references section to the book in the bibliography. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 14:17, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for introducing formatting templates. I have much to learn. RetiredCIEIO (talk) 14:21, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
Ha, there's always a million things to learn on Wikipedia. There's a good essay about shortened footnotes at User:SMcCandlish/How to use the sfnp family of templates that I wish I'd read a lot earlier.
I don't know what sort of editing you like doing, but if you enjoy hunting out sources for random unreferenced articles, we have a backlog drive starting in a couple of days. It's quite good fun. Do sign up if you'd like. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 14:26, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
I do like puzzles, and finding sources would be interesting. I like genealogy, and hunting for those sources. I may eventually want to sign up for a backlog project. For now, I'd like to focus on learning the structure, tools, and templates for Wikipedia. Don't hesitate to make other suggestions, as you did with the templates. RetiredCIEIO (talk) 13:41, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
@RetiredCIEIO, I saw this link on another mentor's talk page, and thought you might like reading WP:PRIMER if you haven't come across it already. It's about the most succinct thing that talks about the whole of contributing to Wikipedia. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 06:37, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
@SunloungerFrog, I appreciate that you sent this link. I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed by guidance pages. They're all informative, but I was having trouble forming the whole picture. Wikipedia:PRIMER is just what I need at the moment. RetiredCIEIO (talk) 12:57, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Sarkar soumita (14:40, 24 February 2026)

Hello! Please let me know the citations used in Wiki, the relevance of grammatical errors in the texts. --Sarkar soumita (talk) 14:40, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Help:Introduction to referencing with Wiki Markup is probably a good starting point, and it is always good to write clearly so that your contributions can be enjoyed by everyone. But don't worry about minor grammatical errors - other editors will spot and correct them if necessary. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 10:05, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
Please let me know how to use Wiki Markup. ~2026-12674-20 (talk) 10:10, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

Canada in the 2030 Winter Olympics

Hello. I am agreeable to redirect and reconsider the article on or after January 1, 2027. What do you think of that possible plan? It would be a voluntary redirect and the AFD withdrawn with no decision.Vanguard10 (talk) 21:15, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

I think that you can't withdraw the AfD now, as there have been a variety of editors advocating for different things. I suggest that you let it take its course. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 21:20, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from HistoricLeSpeaking (17:09, 27 February 2026)

Hello! I created a new article and I hit publish but I don't see it when I search for it on Wikipedia. I read somewhere that new articles get reviewed before they are public. Is that why I don't see it? If so, what is the timeline for that? Is there anywhere that I can view it now or share it to work on it collaboratively or do I need to wait until it's approved? I appreciate your help and that wikipedia has mentors. --HistoricLeSpeaking (talk) 17:09, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

"Publish" really means "save", not necessarily publish. It was in your sandbox. I have moved it to Draft:Cheryl Miller (photographer). I suggest you give it another read through and correct a few things:
Then you can save it and press the blue Submit for Review button, and an Articles for Creation reviewer will carry out a review for you. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 17:28, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you so much! That's really helpful to know. How did you move it from my sandbox? HistoricLeSpeaking (talk) 18:12, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
You can just click on Move on the right hand side of the screen and do it there. Or you can use the Wikipedia:Article Wizard in the first place, and it'll create it for you in draft space. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 19:16, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Trappist-1eee (00:24, 28 February 2026)

hello, i was editing an biography article about a person that passed away relatively recently (less than five years ago) and i received the "Biographies of living persons" pop-up warning. There is a way to report to wikipedia that this person has indeed passed away? or the policy also applied some years after the person's death? --Trappist-1eee (talk) 00:24, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Which article - Miryam Amaya? As the subject is a member of Category:Living people, Wikipedia thinks that they are alive and so WP:BLP applies. If you have sources that talk about the subject's death, add the sourced information, and remove the living people category. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 08:01, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
The article was actually Tanya Seaman, which already has sources regarding her death, but still was in the living people category. Thanks for the help! Trappist-1eee (talk) 11:48, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
No problem. I didn't mention it in my previous answer, but the complete fix is to add the relevant year category for the subject's death (in this case Category:2022 deaths), and then go to the Talk page and change |blp=yes to |blp=no as well. I've done both of those: you can check out the page history to see what I did. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 11:58, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from RetiredCIEIO (13:26, 28 February 2026)

Hi @SunloungerFrog, I have found a short article that has the template for removing subjective statements. I reviewed it, but I don't see examples of puffery or marketing-driven statements. Potentially, a few citations could be added. Could you take a look and point out an example that would help me start down this path? Thanks. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sudbury_Valley_Trustees&gesuggestededit=1 --RetiredCIEIO (talk) 13:26, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

That's an interesting one. You can see that the three templates were put on in 2019, and there have been a bunch of edits since then, some of which have said they are removing non-WP:NPOV language. It's quite frequent that people edit, improve the problem, but then don't remove the templates. If you have made your own assessment and think it looks OK, you can remove the templates. If another editor thinks otherwise, they can add them back, at which point a discussion on the article's talk page is necessary. In the case of this article in particular, I think it could definitely use some better, secondary, sourcing, so something like {{refimprove}} would be appropriate, but I agree that the language seems OK to me. I hope that helps, and give me a shout if you have other questions. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 15:28, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
I appreciate your feedback. I'm gradually gaining confidence. I added {{Refimprove|section}} to the History section of the article. RetiredCIEIO (talk) 00:50, 2 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Trappist-1eee (14:38, 28 February 2026)

Hello again, i have a question regarding the sandbox page. From what i've looked into it, there are few restrictions on what i can do on it, however, i remember that some time ago people used their sandbox pages for alternate history scenarios, and then were advised to not do so, there is any with making (and not publishing it, obviously) an fictional article on the sandbox? --Trappist-1eee (talk) 14:38, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Basically, your sandbox should be devoted to either learning about how to edit Wikipedia, or writing draft content. You shouldn't use it for anything beyond that. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 15:20, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Backlog drive questions

@Cielquiparle and ARandomName123: I thought I might just ask a couple of questions here regarding things that have come up in the backlog drive so far - which is going very well, I think!

  1. When people have, for whatever reason, put MAR26 in the edit summary and then realise that they have made a mistake - what should they do? This seems to have happened a few times now (including me!) and I just wondered what the process should be, and then we can add it into Wikipedia:WikiProject Unreferenced articles/Backlog drives/March 2026 § Detailed instructions now and for future drives. Fine if the answer is "report it on the talk page and one of the coordinators will perform a manual correction at the end of the drive", but if there is scope for a dedicated /Mistakes subpage from which the bot can automatically pick up self-reported errors, and add them into the leaderboard that would save us a job later on.
  2. When editors have added an inline citation to an article that already has references, does that count? For me, if the article already has inline citations and they've added another one, then no. But if the article already has general references, or external links, or some other weird form of non-inline citation sources/references, and the editor has "promoted" (for want of a better word) that existing source to a decent inline citation, I think they should get the point.

Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 14:07, 4 March 2026 (UTC)

Point 1: Anyone who wants to self-report can either report it on the Backlog drive Talk page and any editor can "correct" it for a half-point on Reviews. The reason that's actually simpler is that that will automatically remove that edit from the Reviews tool – same as if someone else "discovered" the mistake.
Point 2: Agree. Just give the point. There seems to be a range of opinion about how those articles should be tagged in the first place and splitting hairs is not a good use of everyone's time. Cielquiparle (talk) 21:41, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Apologies, I missed this ping. Regarding 1), the leaderboard has a subpage at User:DreamRimmer bot III/Mar26DriveLeaderboard/Adjustments which the bot automatically checks, though unlike the review page, the review tool does not pick up on it. Agree with both of you regarding 2. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 04:24, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Wikiumaqwer (16:42, 12 March 2026)

Hi sunlounger frog! I'm interested in libertarian falangism, clavicular, and macbeth and i would like some guidance as to how to edit existent articles about these things --Wikiumaqwer (talk) 16:42, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

That's a good mix of topics! I suggest that you search for articles that are related to those topics, and then see if there is maintenance that's needed, like looking for sources for claims, or copy editing, or updating to reflect recent changes. Question from Capaters (04:12, 16 March 2026)

Hi thanks for your welcome message. Can I ask how long it usually takes for the edits to a page to become public? Cheers. --Capaters (talk) 04:12, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Capaters. If you are editing an article, the edits you make will be public immediately you have saved them, unless the page is under protection of some sort. Most articles are not protected. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 06:09, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your swift reply. Is it obvious when a page/article is under protection? How would you find out? Capaters (talk) 06:49, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
There's normally a little icon on the top right of the page showing the protection status. What article is it that you'd like to edit? Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 07:57, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Canusacalifornian (17:59, 19 March 2026)

Hi. First of all, thank you for serving as my mentor.

I just completed a full redo of a page for Canadian Theatre Director Cynthia Grant. It was almost immediately taken down by Antidionysius for being unsourced.

15 References were appended to my work. Is the problem that I didn't insert the reference numbers into the body of the text as footnotes? I'd be happy to send you my work for your comments and am grateful to you for your help and advice.

Canusacalifornian --Canusacalifornian (talk) 17:59, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Canusacalifornian. I would probably recommend a few things:
  • Make changes one at a time, rather than as one massive blob of change.
  • Always include your references as inline citations: see HELP:CITE.
  • Try and avoid removing cited, sourced information, unless text/source integrity is completely out of whack.
  • Don't change existing citation style: see WP:CITEVAR.
That should minimise the likelihood of your edits getting reverted. I hope that is helpful. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 19:33, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Sorry, I have no Polish. You should use English on English Wikipedia, certainly when writing articles. I used machine translation and you seem to be asking Hey, I would like to add as much information and a photo of the actor Patrick Plajzer as possible so that others can see it. If you know the actor in question or otherwise have a relationship with him, then you have a conflict of interest, and you should avoid creating an article directly. Question from Hurley090984 on Help:Contents (23:50, 27 March 2026)

How do i go about creating a page about a paranormal group from Texas just had almost two decades of experience and is very popular in the south. --Hurley090984 (talk) 23:50, 27 March 2026 (UTC)

Good luck! Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 07:02, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

Hey, mentor! With a freshly accepted article, I note an issue that I need help on: "Valeri came up through the player development programs of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC as an ECNL member of the Riverhounds Development Academy alongside Seneca Valley School District.[1] [failed verification][2] [failed verification]". Any guidance to ensure verifiability? Best, RealRobRossi --RealRobRossi (talk) 13:27, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi @RealRobRossi. You need to make sure that the claims you make in the article - that is, Valeri came up through the player development programs of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC as an ECNL member of the Riverhounds Development Academy alongside Seneca Valley School District - are borne out by what the inline citations say - that is, the sources referenced by [1] and [2]. You should either find sources that do back up the claims, or change the claims so that they are backed up by the current sources. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 14:43, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Question from Cloudapper (04:45, 7 April 2026)

Hi, This is Shaon from CloudApper Inc. I am looking forward to create an article on CloudApper Inc. as an organization and its impact on B2B schene. Could you please guide me on what would be the best approach for that? --Cloudapper (talk) 04:45, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi Shaon. First, you need to change your username. You are not allowed to have a username that is the same as your company: see WP:ORGNAME. Second, because you have a conflict of interest, you are strongly discouraged from writing about your company, and in addition, you will have to follow the rules about paid editing. Third, you should look at Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) to learn about the sorts of sources that you will need to have to back up the article. Sorry to be rather discouraging, but I hope the information helps in any case. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 06:04, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Question from Handumont (02:58, 15 April 2026)

Hey there! Thank you for reaching out and offering your guidance. I recently published an article titled, "dressing by body type in women". If you could, I would so appreciate any tips or feedback you might have on the article. Thank you so much! --Handumont (talk) 02:58, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Handumont. On the basis that your article has been marked as reviewed by a WP:NPP reviewer, that is effectively the only hurdle you need to cross. I might suggest that the article could cover the topic "dressing by body type in women" more tightly - what I mean is that there is content about body type, and content about changes in fashion and dressing, but not as much about the juxtaposition of the two. You might want to try to expand the article accordingly.
I have tagged the article as an {{orphan}}, which means that no other article in the encyclopedia links to it - it's worth trying to find other pages on related topics that you can wikilink to his article, to bind it into the encyclopedia. Similarly, there are words and phrases in this article that could be wikilinked to other articles in the encyclopedia.
On a minor stylistic point, I see that there are a lot of instances of curly quotes, which should be swapped out for straight quotes: see MOS:CURLY. I hope that this is all helpful. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 05:27, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Article Disclosures

Hi SunFrogger!,

I wrote an article about a design I am pioneering. And I think I disclosed conflict of interest correctly, but I am not sure.

I also tried to add references to the base of the article origin but by the part of the submission attempt I was in it wasn't letting me back into the base article to do that. :) happy to be here: hope to do some good for the collection of human knowledge. Any instructive to be more effective on Wiki would be greatly gladdening.

Thanks, DevaPollinate DevaPollinate (talk) 22:39, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi @DevaPollinate. I will be honest and say that I do not think that Draft:Living Lumber is a suitable for you to be writing about: see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not § Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought. I strongly suggest that you turn your energies elsewhere. If you must continue, then you will need proper published sources on such to base the content, and cite them properly: see HELP:CITE. For the conflict of interest, see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI for the instructions on how to do this properly. I hope this helps. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 05:04, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
I read the COI guidelines and addressed them in article. I also wrote this post as an adjustment to schedule via certain website purchases being compromised for the purpose of disclosure elsewhere. Respectively having posts of the tangibles and current studies vrs the description of such is the crux that applies to : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_a_publisher_of_original_thought
Which is not something that I had previously come across on Wiki guidelines to factor for the decision in writing the article. Thank you for that.
Mostly I am here to exhibit my inner grammar police and spelling know how so this article is kind of a one off for admin to decide if it's within wiki ethics.
And yes, the pre-emptive of doing what diligence I can for the sake of our living planet does interplay aka the COI.
Still without a website I could at least feature on you-tube for proper citations so there's that: Simply Said one of my original thought pieces is already on wiki and college textbooks, but I don't often leak business secrets through senator like I did with that one. Simply said, I am just attempting to give the worth of my mind to the world through the means I have. Also as stated to address COI in article. ~2026-23847-49 (talk) 02:12, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

Question from Barbarischster (20:58, 21 April 2026)

Hello, I have a question regarding the amount of stuff to write about a certain topic. For example if a page in a book has a considerable amount of relevant info that cannot be summarized without missing key points would it be appropriate to somewhat write about majority of the pages content's? --Barbarischster (talk) 20:58, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Barbarischster. It's probably worth you reading WP:DUE to help you decide. But there's nothing fundamental against doing that, provided you use your own words and don't copy content. I would always counsel that, generally, "less is more" though. I hope that helps a bit. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 21:41, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello Good day May i ask why my post is deleted? --Dreamerrrrss (talk) 04:07, 27 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Dreamerrrrss - your contribution was deleted because your talk page is not the place for this sort of material: see Wikipedia:User pages § What may I not have in my user pages?. Zero

zero is the right direction... Arhamfied1.0 (talk) 15:25, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

I was tempted to drafiify unilaterally, too

I felt that the prior AfD needed to be honoured instead, and by a further AfD. After all, consensus can change with circumstances, and that award might just plausibly be notable im the community's eyes. My thinking was that it deserved a discussion. Otherwise I am not at all averse to IAR bold actions. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 21:57, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

Question from Austerestar (05:30, 2 May 2026)

Hello, thanks for becoming my editing mentor. I hope to slowly be able to learn the necessary skills. BTW, I accidentally raised a second account which should be deleted if possible. --Austerestar (talk) 05:30, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Austerestar. Re your second account, the simplest thing to do is just change the password to something complicated, then forget about the account and use this one. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 05:48, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
Thanks, I can forget about it now if that is not a problem. I will only be using my old account under my new username. Keep up the good work. Austerestar (talk) 05:51, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
I don't quite understand what you mean by I will only be using my old account under my new username. The thing is to only use one account, I guess this one? Unless I'm missing something. You could also take a look at WP:VANISH to see if that helps you in some way. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 05:53, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from ColChicken85 (00:23, 3 May 2026)

I think there's a problem I fixed Dez Fafara's birthdate and where he was born because it was not there so I fixed it but someone thinks I broke the rules of Wikipedia I was fixing content --ColChicken85 (talk) 00:23, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi @ColChicken85. As LunieZunie said on your talk page, you need a reliable published source to back up things like people's dates and places of birth. I assume that you have something like that for Dez Fafara, so just cite the source in your edit - see Help:Footnotes for ways to do that. If you run into difficulties, share your source with me, and I can help you a bit more. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 05:49, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
