Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Santa Maria Assunta, Riola di Vergato when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 20:55, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

Santa Maria Assunta, Riola di Vergato

Hey there. Would you mind explaining what's going on over at that article? You are adding some content, but also duplicating a lot of sections and then removing them one by one. Also, please use edit summaries when adding content. Thanks. win8x (talk) 21:30, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

Hi Zackmann, thank you for fixing it and for the explanation. Sorry about that, I understand now that I added unsupported parameters to the infobox. The twin towns information was already added in the section below with a reference, but I mistakenly tried to include it in the infobox too. Next time I’ll check the template documentation and use preview before saving. Thanks again. Teknuccio (talk) 07:54, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:Corno alle Scale Regional Park has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Corno alle Scale Regional Park. Thanks! Theroadislong (talk) 14:54, 6 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Montese, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Panaro was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thanks for creating this article. I think B is the correct class, which is great, but if you are able to add any sources which are not tourist information sites, that would be helpful. I think it's a bit under-linked too, so will tag it as such. Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 07:28, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

Cati family moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Cati family. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and the article currently seems to be original research. Sources which discuss the family as a whole are necessary.. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boynamedsue (talk) 08:08, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for the explanation. I have revised the draft to improve notability and sourcing, adding a secondary source specifically about the Cati family as a whole and reducing material that could appear as original research. Teknuccio (talk) 11:31, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

Categories

Please note that pages are not allowed to be filed in redlinked categories that do not exist to have pages filed in them, per WP:REDNOT.

Category:Families of Ferrara and Category:Polesine are not categories that we have, so they are not categories that you can add Cati family to, because the categories do not exist in order to have pages filed in them. (And neither of them would be creatable for just one page either — they would both have to have several pages ready to be filed in them before they could be created.) As I've had to pull the page out of those two nonexistent categories three times in the past week, further, please note that if I ever see it back in redlinked categories again I'll be forced to apply edit protection to it so that you can no longer edit it at all.

Do not put the page in redlinked categories that do not exist. And that's not a request, it's an order. Bearcat (talk) 15:17, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I had not noticed your earlier warning. I understand now and I will not re-add redlinked categories. Thanks for the clarification. Teknuccio (talk) 07:49, 20 May 2026 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:Pietro Poppi has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Pietro Poppi. Thanks! Hoary (talk) 02:34, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

I've been thinking a little more about campaign (surely a cognate of Italian campagna, and with overlapping but not identical meanings). Despite Wiktionary's definition, its use in the draft still sounds wrong to me. Alternatives include expedition, mission, and tour: all have different connotations; none sounds quite right to me. I hope that in the next day or two a better alternative will occur to me. -- Hoary (talk) 04:48, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

Thank you, that makes sense. I agree that campaign can be misleading in this context, even if it is understandable in a literal sense. I have revised the draft to avoid the word and used more neutral expressions such as photographic series and groups of photographs/views, which seem closer to the catalogue and documentary context. Thank you for pointing this out. --Teknuccio (talk) 07:09, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
And thank you for your revision, with its various improvements. Just two points about your revision: (i) I prefer ...Poppi officially took over Fotografia dell'Emilia in 1869, moving the business from Via Mercato di Mezzo 56 to Via San Mamolo 101 (now Via d'Azeglio), in Palazzo Rodriguez, with which he had been connected from 1866 to Poppi officially took over Fotografia dell'Emilia in 1869, moving the business from Via Mercato di Mezzo 56 to Via San Mamolo 101, now Via d'Azeglio, in Palazzo Rodriguez, with which he had been connected from 1866 because there are so many commas in the latter that the result becomes somewhat shapeless and even slightly hard to parse. But I haven't reverted you and don't intend to do so. (ii) Letizia Murat Pepoli [de; it] may be slightly ugly, but to readers who can also read German or Italian (or can feed one or the other through Google Translate), it's a lot more helpful than is plain Letizia Murat Pepoli. -- Hoary (talk) 10:43, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
Thank you, Hoary. I have adjusted the sentence by putting “now Via d'Azeglio” in parentheses, so the wording should now be less comma-heavy and easier to read. I have also kept the interlanguage links for Letizia Murat Pepoli, as suggested. Thanks again for the careful review. Teknuccio (talk) 11:47, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello! The above is of course mere boilerplate. By contrast, I am a human. (Although of course "AI" might make the same claim.) Well done on an unusually interesting article. You think your work on it is done? Not so fast! "Did you know?" now beckons. -- Hoary (talk) 23:05, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
Surprisingly, there are six references to this one, short web page. But is the source that you are citing the web page itself, or is it the book that the web page describes? -- Hoary (talk) 04:11, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
Thank you again. I have revised the citations to the Bologna University Press page and reduced its use. I am now using that page only for what it directly supports, namely the 2015 publication/project, rather than as a substitute for the book itself. For historical or archival details I have either kept more specific online sources, such as the Fondo Poppi and catalogue records, or used book citations only where the cited work is the intended source.
Thanks again for pointing this out. Teknuccio (talk) 15:39, 27 May 2026 (UTC)

LLM use

Please disclose whether you have used any AI tools, such as ChatGPT or Grammarly, in the process of your editing. Please note that doing so is generally not allowed. Fermiboson (talk) 20:46, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Yes, I have used AI-based tools quite often as auxiliary tools for English wording, copyediting, structure, and checking neutral phrasing.
I understand the concern and should have been more transparent. I check the cited sources myself, manually review the final text, and take responsibility for my edits. If any specific passage raises concerns, I am willing to review, rewrite, trim, or remove it. Teknuccio (talk) 21:30, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
Please cease doing so as this is in contravention of policy. Your description does not fit either the exemption of machine translation or basic copyediting. Fermiboson (talk) 22:44, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
Understood, and I apologise. The substantive additions I made were based on documentation I had collected over time about the history, people and cultural heritage of my local area, subjects that I know well and genuinely care about. I personally checked the published sources and made these contributions in good faith, hoping to improve incomplete English-language coverage.
As English is not my first language, I used AI tools to help formulate and organise this material in English. I now understand that this went beyond the guideline, and I am sorry for that. Teknuccio (talk) 07:32, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
