Many article titles are disambiguated with parenthetic qualifiers, like this: [[Self (psychology)]]. But when you want to include such a link in the body of an article, this would look rather awkward. So all you have to do is use the "pipe trick", like this: [[Self (psychology)|]]. Notice the "|" character stuck in there at the end of the link? That makes the link look like this: Self, without having to type the name of the link after the pipe!
This trick also works with namespaces, so that [[Wikipedia:Tip of the day|]] (again notice the pipe character) displays like this: Tip of the day.

General answer: Learn regex. It's a mini-language for specifying search/replace strings. It is used in most programming languages, including the scripting language for making userscripts (JavaScript). In addition to being used in programming, it is also supported by many programs as an advanced way to input search queries, so, in addition to supporting ordinary searches, they also let you specify searches written in regex, also known as "regular expressions". For example, Wikipedia's wikitext editor lets you search with regular expressions (you have to check a box), and WikEd, the advanced editor that can be installed from Preferences on Wikipedia, lets you search with ordinary search strings, and supports regex searches and search/replace as well; and so does AutoWikiBrowser. Advanced file managers, like MultiCommander, also support regex, and can be used for renaming files in batches. Regex searches are far more powerful than ordinary searches, and therefore, Regex is a basic skill all programmers and power users should know.
Cutting edge answer: Since you are asking me, a human, I assume you haven't tried https://perplexity.ai yet. Not only can it answer questions about any programming language in seconds, you can ask it to write code in any programming language, and it will. If it can't write the whole userscript you want, it can at least write one section ("function") at a time.
Hint: interview perplexity.ai on what it is and what it can do. During the interview, ask every question you can think of.

@VidanaliK: Things are changing fast in the AI world. Perplexity has crippled its free tier down to 2 prompts per session. But duckduckgo now has an AI called duck.ai, which allows you to choose from 6 models in its free tier. The best of those is Anthropic's Claude Haiku 4.5, but it is not the default, so you have to select it. After you've done that, to get the best out of it, you click on "fast" and then click on "reasoning". duck.ai's "download chat" feature captures everything, including the model's chain-of-thought. One drawback is that Haiku sometimes decides not to search; you can prevent that problem by adopting the habit of starting your prompts with "Search for" or "Look up", or end the prompt with a search order.
But that's all old school, as a new paradigm of AIs has hit the mainstream...

Hey Mr Transhumanist! How has it been? I've recently been editing Draft:Outline of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict a bit but will have to take a short hiatus as exams are coming up where I'm from (will continue to make edits after ofc). Nevertheless, I wanted to propose an idea to you where we could team up with Wikipedia:WikiProject Presidents of the United States to create outlines of all the US presidents (if it works it could create like 40+ outlines in a short time). They have this open task system with a progress bar which I think could give them motivation for the collaborative project, but those are my two cents. What is your opinion? It has been getting more and more exciting, due to the ripple effects of the March 31st Anthropic AI source code leak (512,000 lines of program code). Billions of dollars of agentic AI research and development given to the world for free. The entire AI field has leaped forward because of it, with AI getting smarter faster than ever. We are now firmly in the agentic phase of AI, rapidly progressing into the multi-agent or collaborative AI phase. If you haven't installed agentic AI yet, I suggest that you do.
As for creating 40 new outline drafts, I think it would be more practical to work on the 120+ outline drafts that we already have. Drafts get deleted if they go six months unedited.
