Thanks! Been looking at a few other articles on fictional characters of similar types to see what categories would fit it, so it might get a couple more beyond this in the future too. Also looking to add it to the SCP navbox today. (It'll need a new category, and I'm debating on whether a navbox section for articles or characters would be more fitting to create in this scenario.)

I might look at doing the nomination, but this is all still a tad new to me, so I'll have to read all the rules and guidelines for that before coming to a conclusion there. ThyCheshireCat (talk) 13:55, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

If you're interested in writing more about collaborative online fictions like SCP Foundation on Wikipedia, we'd love you to join us in WP:WikiProject Electronic literature. I think you might know about the WikiProject already since you added the template to the talk page of the SCP-173 draft, but you haven't put your username on the list of participants, so maybe not? Anyway, I think it'd be great to have someone with solid knowledge of this genre contributing - I am aware of it, have heard a few talks about it and think it's cool but don't know it well enough to write much, though I can do things like look up academic sources and so on. I mentioned two concrete tasks that it'd be great to have help with on the project talk page: [[Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Electronic literature#SCP Foundation and other collaborative online writing]]. No worries if you don't have time or want to do other things first, but if you'd like to give it a go I would be more than happy to help by explaining how stuff works or any other tips you might need. Just ping me! I'm usually on Wikipedia a few times a week. Also @LoveElectronicLiterature runs zoom sessions for the WikiProject once a month so ping her if you'd like to join those. I'll certainly consider doing so over the coming days, though I'm not sure how much help I can provide at the current time. To my understanding, there isn't that many other SCP related topics outside of a couple video games that could potentially meet notability guidelines at this time that don't already have articles, (I could be wrong on this mind you, I know one of the Series 3 articles became a bit of a viral meme a few years back, but for the most part it seems that way to me.) and my knowledge on other electronic fiction works is admittedly limited.

I was quite into Creepypasta a decade or so ago; though I haven't really read much of those in years, and Wikipedia's coverage of that seems fairly strong as it is from what I have seen. (If anything, I could see a few more being added to the list, but I don't think more new designated pages for Creepypastas are needed at this time.)

I don't use Zoom so I probably won't be able to join the sessions unfortunately, though if I do get an account there at some point I'll definitely consider it. ThyCheshireCat (talk) 13:10, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

If I come across ones that appeal to my areas of knowledge, then I'll definitely join. Probably gonna join the Indie Task Force at least, since I imagine I'll be contributing to a fair few indie games somewhat regularly. Aside from that though I'm not 100% sure yet, but we'll see! Thanks so much! Could you give me the URL for the Indie Task Force? When I search, I just get the list of participants. As an Indie Task Force expert, could you also weigh in on notability sources? We are having difficulty in our special little fields where works become obsolete quickly and reviews that we think are notable don't count in the general Wikipedia scheme of things. I'm personally more inclined to continue using the AfC system over creating articles directly though, at least for the time being. I just like having a review system in place to make sure whatever content is being made is of a strong enough quality to survive before being posted; and it's convenient that it doesn't get deleted if it doesn't quite hold up to scrutiny, so long as it's still being worked on and has enough potential to not get outright rejected, so one can continue to improve the draft until it does.
