Hello, I'm Ternera. I noticed that in this edit to India men's national field hockey team, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Ternera (talk) 16:26, 30 September 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) caste-related topics in South Asia.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Kyrgyzstan men's national field hockey team moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Kyrgyzstan men's national field hockey team. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Myanmar women's national field hockey team moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Myanmar women's national field hockey team, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. April 2026

Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started on Wikipedia and creating new articles can be tricky; you might like to try creating a draft of your article in the Wikipedia draftspace or within your userspace first. Creating a draft allows you the time and space to fix any issues, make updates, and add or expand content, and with less risk of having things deleted. You can even ask for feedback on your work if you need help. Make sure that you read through the Wikipedia help pages available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try using the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Htanaungg (talk) 10:11, 5 April 2026 (UTC)

National cricket team results
A cricket match is deemed to have started when the toss takes place; if a match is abandonded due to bad weather with no toss taking place then it is not included in a team's result summary. You have recently amended both Pakistan national cricket team and Bangladesh national cricket team to include matches where this applies. Each article has an existing reference to show the results summary, so you adding in sporadic matches is causing inconsistencies. I have reverted both articles. India–Pakistan cricket rivalry
Hi there, do you think it is fine to color India with orange on a cricket page, given that Indian cricket team is associated with blue and also nicknamed Men in Blue? Jimmkk (talk) 18:25, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, thanks for your comment. The choice of orange is primarily intended to improve visual distinction rather than to reflect a nickname. Orange provides better contrast against Pakistan's green, making the teams easier to distinguish in head-to-head tables. It is also consistent with other Wikipedia pages, such as the India–Pakistan relations page, where India is represented in orange. Additionally, orange is a prominent element of the Indian cricket team's official jersey. Unless there is a relevant WikiProject or Manual of Style guideline requiring blue for India on cricket pages, orange is a reasonable and consistent choice.
