WikiProject Caribbean is a WikiProject formed to foster better articles on the countries of the Caribbean with a spirit of cooperation. If you would like to join the project, simply add your name to the list of participants and begin editing (see the list of open tasks for ideas).

As of 19 August 2026, there are 25,276 articles within the scope of WikiProject Caribbean, of which 63 are featured and 238 are good articles. This makes up 0.350% of the articles on Wikipedia, 0.530% of all featured articles and lists, and 0.530% of all good articles. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etcetera, there are 50,552 pages in the project.

General information

WikiProject Caribbean was founded on 12 December 2006, preceded by the creation of the Caribbean Wikipedians' notice board on 1 July 2005. The purpose of this WikiProject is to create, maintain, and improve content on Wikipedia about the Caribbean. Our definition of the Caribbean is inclusive– all countries, territories, and regions in the Caribbean and its wider cultural sphere are under the purview of this project, as well as any topic relating to the Caribbean Sea.

The goal of this project is to improve anything on Wikipedia related to the Caribbean, whether it be history, culture, geography, people, or the the portal. These goals are organised on the collaborations page, and you can check out our to-do list for specific tasks.

While all Caribbean topics are to be supported by this project, the following is a representative list of some included countries and regions. Their categories can be found here.

Participate

Participating is easy and has no obligations. Anyone can join WikiProject Caribbean and to do so, simply list your username under the active participants section on our participants page. You can also add a userbox to your userpage to add yourself automatically to Category:WikiProject Caribbean participants. You are also encouraged to add this page to your watchlist, by clicking the little star on the top right of this page– this will also add the talk page to your watchlist so you can always keep up with this project's discussions.

You might also want to become a participant in the WikiProject or work group of an individual country/territory.

Assessment

The assessment department has more information on the quality and importance of Caribbean articles. You do not have to be part of the project or the department to assess an article. To assess an article, add a project banner to an article's talk page. If you need assistance in assessing an article, you may ask for help on the assessment department's talk page.
