Flying Cloud United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland South Australia The ship was wrecked near Port MacDonnell. Her crew were rescued. She was on a voyage from Mauritius to Adelaide.[18]
Lübec Lübeck The steamship was driven ashore at the Staberhuk Lighthouse, Fehmarn, Prussia. She was on a voyage from Lübeck to Gothenburg, Sweden. She was refloated and taken in to Burgtiefe, Prussia.[19]

Star of Hope  United Kingdom The ship collided with the barque Archos ( United Kingdom) and sank 14 nautical miles (26 km) off Lowestoft, Suffolk. Her crew were rescued by the pilot cutter Rapid ( United Kingdom). Star of Hope was on a voyage from South Shields, County Durham to Cartagena, Spain.[41][42][43]
