Please lets discuss these points on the current Druze article versus my suggested changes :

The Druze faith is an esoteric monotheistic religion based on the teachings of several Ismaili figures like Hamza ibn-'Ali ibn-Ahmad and Al-Muqtana Baha'uddin who were influenced by Greek philosophers such as Plato ,Aristotle and Plotinus.

The Druze faith is a monotheistic and Abrahamic religion based on the teachings of high Islamic figures like Hamza ibn-'Ali ibn-Ahmad and Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah, and Greek philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle.

Reason for Edit : - The main distiction about the Druze faith is being esoteric Batini this should be mentioned

- Druze are not an Abrahamic religion but monotheist , the position of Abraham is different for the Druze than the three abrahamic faiths

- high Islamic figures is not accurate , the prophet mohammad is a high islamic figure , Hamza was a preacher , Al-Hakim was the Fatimid Caliph , a more historically accurate and appropriate description is Ismaili

and other philosophies and beliefs, creating a distinct syncretic and secretive theology that is passed on through initiation

Role of the mind and truthfulness is an over simplification of the Druze theology and its the universal mind nous rather than mind as human mind

The Druze flag is missing from the flags section in the Emoji block of Unicode. Yet many Druze netizens use the flag of Seychelles emoji instead of their accurate flag while presenting in social media. The two flags are colored similarly.

Description of suggested change: Correcting the misidentification of the community's religious status and name origins. The term "Druze" is an exonym derived from Nashtakin al-Darazi, a figure the community officially denounced. Their self-identification is Al-Muwahhidun al-Muslimun, emphasizing their status as an esoteric monotheistic Islamic sect. The current text fails to mention the rejection of al-Darazi and the community's primary Islamic identity.

The article referred to the Druze faith. @GenoV84 has changed every mention to "Druze Faith" with a capital F, adding a footnote "The Druze Faith is referred to using the capital "F"" citing Abu-Izzeddin, Nejla M. (1993) [1984]. "The Druze Faith". The Druzes: A New Study of Their History, Faith, and Society. Leiden: E. J. Brill. pp. 101–121. doi:10.1163/9789004450349_013. ISBN 978-90-04-45034-9.. They reinstated those changes and that footnote when they were reverted but with no explanation and without gaining consensus on this talk page.

Abu-Izzeddin does not state in that chapter that the Druze faith is referred to with a capital "F" and does not do so; the chapter begins "The Druze faith arose in the bosom of the Fatimid creed." She uses "Druze faith" three more times in the chapter, but not "Druze Faith" with a capiatl "F".

I will restore the lower-case "faith" and remove the footnote. @GenoV84, please don't reinstate them without gaining consensus here, which will require WP:RSs. NebY (talk) 18:07, 28 June 2026 (UTC)

From what I can tell, this is not a real word that is applied to the Druze people/community. It may have been added in due to the existence of other such nouns/adjectives, especially for Middle Eastern peoples, but this seemingly is not a proper adjective for the Druze people. It should be replaced with Druze across this page. If this is done, it can also be changed elsewhere on Wikipedia. Or if there are sources for this word as a term for the Druze, that would suffice. The word exists but it is rare. It is confusing to use it alongside the common name Druze. I removed it. Zero^talk 09:26, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
