Strange intro?
I think its strange to start the intro with the fact that he aspired to be a footballer - this is something probably better confined to early life or later in the intro. Other articles about actors usually start by listing accolades and what roles the person is most well known for. I think this article should return to something like the pre 8 March 2024 version. - Hi guys, I've just restored the pre-8 March version. I was the one who trimmed and reworded the lead without consensus that day.

Matt Smith → Matt Smith (actor) – There are a few articles named Matt Smith on Wikipedia, so adding an "actor" tag at the end would make sense. ~~PolishHamsteryeah 00:06, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose, I didn't check every single "Matt Smith" page that ends in disambiguation on WP, but a random spot check of page views shows that this actor is byfar the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. The next closest page from that is one of the footballers, but they're still trailing by over 10 million. Additionally, Matt Smith (disambiguation) has only had ~8k views, leading me to bleieve that most people who end up here, aren't looking for a different Matt Smith. I ran these checks over the last ten-years to hopefully show long-term significance. Similarly, a quick google search of just "Matt Smith" yields results primarily about the actor as well.
