On November 18, Roblox introduced age checks to all users. Starting in January of 2026, all users must complete the verification process, or they will not be able to chat. Users will be placed into age groups (under nine, 9 to 12, 13 to 15, 16 to 17, 18 to 20 and 21+), which will prevent users from chatting with users outside their age group. - Hi, I will implement the age check update info into the article shortly. Unfortunately I've had a very hectic week and trying to figure out how to implement this information felt taxing up to a point. Still not entirely sure how to do it. But I'll figure it out. λ NegativeMP1 18:28, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

- On this topic, requesting some criticism of the practice: Poor face estimations, potential of predators accessing inappropriate age groups, etc. https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2026/01/05/roblox-face-scan-child-safety-features/87970290007/ Horizons 1 (talk) 00:34, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
- Roblox has received so much criticism for almost everything they've done that I find this one specific critique to be WP:FRINGE (only one source covering the criticism so far), as much as I and pretty much everyone else in the general community hates the update. Maybe this specific critique could be added to Child safety on Roblox? I will, however, use this source to provide expanded information on how the AI estimation software works and its potential margin of error. λ NegativeMP1 00:51, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
