Trippie Redd's wiki page says is name is Michael White II but it is actually Michael White IV according to every other source. Can't edit the page as it is protected but this may need to be edited for accuracy. 174.240.234.0 (talk) 22:41, 30 September 2022 (UTC)

Hello. According to the relevant guidelines at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography#Pseudonyms, stage names, nicknames, hypocorisms, and common names, "For people who are best known by a pseudonym, the legal name should usually appear first in the article, followed closely by the pseudonym". For example, on some biographical articles such as Dr. Ruth, Tim Allen, Busta Rhymes and so on, we use other permutations such as "known professionally as", "better known as", "better known by the stage name" and so on. Per WP:BRD, I'm opening up a discussion here to see what's the best way to format the names here. Thoughts? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 22:21, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

All of the possible phrasings mentioned sound good to me; I don't have a strong preference for any particular one. A quick look at the page history suggests to me that "known professionally as" was the stable phrasing before the recent spate of changes, but I have no objection if people want to change it to something else. Does anyone else consider the removal of the old, better-focused, photo justified? Scientelensia (talk) 18:44, 26 March 2026 (UTC)

I agree with you! I've reverted it back to the previous version. It seems like this particular user has a habit of uploading very bad infobox pics (see Talk:Eric Trump, Talk:Jason Bateman, etc). It would be good if someone could tell them to knock it off, since it seems intentional. ~2026-16034-49 (talk) 01:04, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
Ah, I See, that makes sense – thanks! Scientelensia (talk) 17:56, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
It unfortunately seems 'Shoot for the Stars' has disregarded this and done it again. Scientelensia (talk) 17:57, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
You and some random IP agreeing IS NOT a vote. Wait until more registered editors have voiced their concerns. Shoot for the Stars (talk) 19:30, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
If you change the photo one more time without a consensus then I will report you for starting an edit war. You have already been warned in the past about BLP violations. When users can’t agree on a photo, we wait until the community chooses one. You and an a random IP aren’t a whole consensus. Shoot for the Stars (talk) 19:35, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
When will consensus be achieved, since this is a mostly inactive talk page? You have also been warned about sock puppetry violations - in any case, I don’t see how my violation is relevant to this discussion, in which you are disregarding my argument and are unaware of your own behaviour. Scientelensia (talk) 23:19, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
The photo I provide is a proper photograph taken by a photographer whereas the other one is a low-res clipping from a YouTube short… Scientelensia (talk) 23:23, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
I might add that you @Shoot for the Stars are the one who uploaded this photo, hence your interest in pushing it (as @~2026-16034-49 noted). Scientelensia (talk) 23:24, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
Please see User talk:Black Kite#Appealing to you for advice for reference. Scientelensia (talk) 12:11, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

@Scientelensia - I started a conversation on the Teahouse about this user's behavior doing the same thing across multiple pages, I'm hoping they will have some advice on how to resolve this. ~2026-16034-49 (talk) 16:28, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

Thank you! The user has also initiated a deletion discussion of the good image over at Commons so that their image 'wins out'. Scientelensia (talk) 17:27, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

I see the the original, better, photo is now back in place. Shoot for the Stars: if you regard this as edit warring, please report it at WP:ANI.   Maproom (talk) 17:36, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
As per my chat here User talk:Black Kite#Appealing to you for advice, I think Shoot for the Stars is unfortunately in the wrong, and nonetheless. no case for edit warring is viable Scientelensia (talk) 17:44, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
