Question
Hi, I noticed that you're creating a large number of new drafts (12 inside ~3 hrs), which is great of course. Can I just ask, are you translating these from somewhere, such as the Korean Wikipedia, or are these entirely new creations? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:48, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm Chonnam National University's Future Strategy Headquarters manager. We are in the process of officially updating the school status in 2026. The use of AI occurred in the process of converting from Korean to English. From now on, I will carefully check the translation. I'm sorry. I would appreciate it if you could unblock the part so that I can edit it at Chonnam National University. Devgru20 (talk) 00:12, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
Another question
I also noticed that many of these drafts have to do with people associated with Chonnam National University. Do you work for (or with) the university, by any chance? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:49, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing Maybe I am wrong, but this seems like a duck of User:Khykim. – LuniZunie(talk) 13:30, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- Additionally, they are using AI. See Draft:Kang Ki-jung. I had suspicions due to the speed of creation and multiple missing categories, but this confirms it for me. – LuniZunie(talk) 13:32, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello LuniZunie There was a part where AI was used in the process of translating Korean into English, but we will review the translation more carefully from now on. I apologize for the inconvenience. I would appreciate it if you could unblock that part so that Chonnam National University can revise it. Devgru20 (talk) 00:19, 23 January 2026 (UTC)

Paid editing

Hello Devgru20. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Devgru20. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Devgru20|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 10:04, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

- Subject: Disclosure of affiliation and apology
- Hello DoubleGrazing,
- Thank you for the guidance. To be completely transparent: Yes, I am a staff member at Chonnam National University.
- I sincerely apologize for the lack of disclosure. As a new contributor, I was not fully aware of the mandatory Undisclosed Paid Editing (UPE) requirements. My primary intention was to update the professional records of our university's notable alumni to ensure historical accuracy, not for commercial promotion.
- Regarding the use of LLMs, I used AI tools to assist with English translation and formatting, but I now realize this resulted in a promotional tone that is unsuitable for an encyclopedia.
- From now on, I will strictly follow the Articles for Creationprocess and ensure all my contributions are manually written in a neutral, factual tone based on reliable secondary sources.
- I appreciate your patience and will await your further guidance. Devgru20 (talk) 07:09, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Devgru20, did you use an AI/LLM/chatbot to write your message? Blue Sonnet (talk) 07:29, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to unconstructively edit Wikipedia using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology), as you did at User:Devgru20, you may be blocked from editing. Theroadislong (talk) 08:36, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I see. I think it happened when I converted Hangul into English. I would appreciate it if you could understand. I will never use the AI generation model again. Devgru20 (talk) 09:10, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- If you open the account for additional editing, I will follow the Wikipedia regulations and guidelines in the future and post them one by one. I would appreciate it if you could open the account lock, please. Devgru20 (talk) 09:13, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for making the paid-editing-disclosure.
- What do you mean by "open the account for additional editing"? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:47, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- If you go to the link above https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chonnam_National_University#cite_note-17 , the editing for Chonnam National_University is locked, so the revision is not possible. If you look at the period, you cannot edit it until February 4, 2026. I need to modify the internal content, so can you unlock it? We are implementing data or figures as of 2026. Please help. We are planning to add only fact-based figures as the basis for the university's disclosure indicators. Devgru20 (talk) 15:18, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- It is locked because of multiple editors with a conflict of interest. In future please request edits with the template {{edit COI}} on the talk page and supply reliable independent sources to support any changes. Theroadislong (talk) 15:23, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

Drafts
Please read WP:DRAFTNOCAT. Drafts are not allowed to be filed in categories alongside finished articles in mainspace — any page in draftspace must stay out of any categories so long as it remains in draftspace, and may be added to categories only if and when it gets accepted and moved by an WP:AFC reviewer. As well, no type of content in any namespace is ever allowed to be filed in redlinked categories that do not exist, per WP:REDNOT — even if they were in mainspace, you still would not be free to add any them to any category that is a red link, because categories that do not exist cannot be used.
I've had to remove several drafts from categories multiple times within the past hour alone because of you repeatedly trying to add them back into categories, so do not add drafts to categories. Note as well that there can be consequences for disruption if you continue, such as the draft being locked so that you can no longer edit it at all, and/or the temporary or permanent removal of your privilege to make any edits to Wikipedia at all. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 06:17, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
- Dear Bearcat, I sincerely apologize for the disruption and the extra work I caused you. I was not aware of the WP:DRAFTNOCAT policy regarding categories in the draftspace. Thank you for pointing this out. I have read the guidelines now and I promise to remove or disable all categories in my future drafts until they are accepted. I am sorry for the trouble. Your submission at Articles for creation: Seo Jung-wook has been accepted

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.
The article has been assessed as Stub-Class, which is recorded on its talk page. It is commonplace for new articles to start out as stubs and then attain higher grades as they develop over time. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.
Thanks again, and happy editing!

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Chonnam National University when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

- I just noticed that, thanks! I left an additional message below. There are multiple articles that were declined and then published directly recently (as I am sure you may have seen as well). FiddleheadLady (talk) 02:10, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the feedback and for moving the article to draftspace, FiddleheadLady and Blue Sonnet. I understand the need for more independent sources to establish notability. I apologize for the recent direct publishing; I will strictly follow the Articles for Creation (AfC) process moving forward and will only use the 'Submit for review' button once the draft is sufficiently improved. I appreciate your patience and guidance. Devgru20 (talk) 05:51, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

Oh Hyung-suk moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Oh Hyung suk. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, you may have a possible Conflict of Interest and your previous draft for this person was declined through AfC. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

I apologize for the direct publishing and will focus on improving the draft here. I will use the 'Submit for review' button once it meets the required standards. I appreciate your guidance. February 2026
Hello,
You have recently created a large number of articles in a short amount of time and I noticed you published articles for people when you still have working drafts for them that you could have submitted through AfC. I am not sure if this was done on purpose or accidentally, however, if you are going to submit through AfC (which you should consider due to your COI that you have disclosed and the fact that many of them were previously declined through AfC), then you should be submitting your drafts rather than publishing new pages on your own. If you need further information here are two good places to start: Wikipedia:AFCREVIEW, Wikipedia:COIE.
FiddleheadLady (talk) 02:08, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hello FiddleheadLady, thank you for reaching out and for the guidance.
- I sincerely apologize for the confusion and for publishing those articles directly to the mainspace while I still had working drafts. It was an oversight on my part, and I did not intend to bypass the community's established procedures.
- I fully understand why submitting through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process is necessary, especially given my disclosed COI and the history of previous declines. I have stopped creating new pages directly and will focus on improving my existing drafts within the draftspace. I will only move forward by using the 'Submit for review' button once they are ready for a formal check.
- I’ve started reviewing the links you provided (Wikipedia:AFCREVIEW and Wikipedia:COIE) to ensure my future contributions align better with Wikipedia's standards. Thank you for your patience and for helping me learn the proper workflow. Devgru20 (talk) 07:00, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:39, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Dear DoubleGrazing, I hear you loud and clear. I sincerely apologize for the disruption I have caused to Wikipedia. I realize now that my actions—specifically bypassing the AfC process and publishing directly to the mainspace after being warned—were unacceptable.
- I value this community and my ability to contribute. I promise that from this moment on, I will:
- 1.Strictly follow the AfC process and never move a draft to the mainspace myself.
- 2.Stop using AI for generating content or translations to prevent further quality issues.
- 3.Ensure all COI declarations are transparent on my user page and relevant talk pages.
- I am committed to learning the proper way to contribute. Thank you for this final chance to correct my behavior. Devgru20 (talk) 08:02, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

- Hello FiddleheadLady, thank you for the feedback and for moving the article to the draftspace.
- I understand your concerns regarding the need for more independent, reliable sources to establish notability for this subject. I will work on improving the draft by adding more significant coverage from third-party media outlets to meet Wikipedia's standards.
- Regarding the conflict of interest, I have a declaration on my user page and I apologize for any procedural confusion caused by the recent direct publishing. I will strictly follow the Articles for Creation (AfC) process from now on and will only use the 'Submit the draft for review!' button once the draft is ready, rather than moving it back to the mainspace myself.
- Thank you for your guidance and for allowing me the time to improve the article undisturbed. Devgru20 (talk) 07:02, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
