Your submission at Articles for creation: Guardians of the North (October 31)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by CurryTime7-24 was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Blockquote from the studio is not needed. Without it or any useful information from reliable sources to replace it, this draft is little more than a directory entry.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Taxa named by Eugenio Sismonda

A tag has been placed on Category:Taxa named by Eugenio Sismonda indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 17:43, 8 January 2025 (UTC)

Deletion of Bill Smith, aka Bluebird Bill

Why didn't you voice your concerns on the talk page before deleting this article? The Bluebird K7 pages already have an issue with "too much detail". There is no information on the Bluebird K7 article about Bill Smith's underwater survey of HMHS Britannic where his work solved a long-standing question of how the hospital ship was sunk in 1919. Admin had already posted previously "PROD-deleted or speedily deleted articles are not eligible under this criterion, although they may be deletable under other criteria." What alternative criteria were you using? @JalenBarks:Nigel PG Dale 16:23, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

The information at HMHS Britannic could be added to that article. The article about Bill Smith was originally deleted as the result of a discussion at Articles for deletion. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 19:07, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
Лисан аль-Гаиб didn't delete this article, they converted it to a Redirect which was completely appropriate. It was the recreation of an article deleted through an AFD so it was headed towards deletion until they found a way for the page to be retained in the main space. Liz Read! Removal of CSD G11 tag

Hello Лисан аль-Гаиб, I noticed that you removed the CSD G11 tag I placed on Draft:PATRICK TCHOKOTHE AIME and moved the draft to Draft:Patrick Aime. In your edit summary, you stated that the presence of two references meant CSD was not applicable. However, the draft was tagged for CSD because it contained promotional content and was a recreation of a previously deleted draft. Both the article and the redirect have since been deleted. I would appreciate it if you avoid removing CSD tags without proper justification in the future. Best regards. QEnigma 15:21, 21 August 2025 (UTC)

@QEnigma: I thought the article might be salvageable. Promotional text can always be edited out. Remember, a lot of good articles started out as comparatively weak stubs. Лисан аль-Гаиб (talk) 16:50, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
@Лисан аль-Гаиб: It was not a weak stub but a promotional article about a non-notable individual that failed to meet WP:GNG, which was the reason it was nominated for CSD G11. Thank you for your reply. QEnigma 16:56, 21 August 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Taxa named by Friedrich Karsch

A tag has been placed on Category:Taxa named by Friedrich Karsch, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Your submission at Articles for creation: Saint Callinicus of Cernica (October 27)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Valorrr was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Please address these issues. The best way is usually to read reliable sources and summarize them, instead of using a large language model. See our help page on large language models.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Zoë Mc Pherson

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Zoë Mc Pherson, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. GPL93 (talk) 00:53, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

There is no described species named Marcusenius altembesi - the three sources used in this draft are about a real species known as Marcusenius altisambesi, and do not contain any mention of a M. altembesi to support any of the claims in this article. There are 0 mentions of this M. altembesi anywhere in the scientific literature (or anywhere on the internet besides this draft and pages that link to it) and as far as I can find there is no Altembese River in the DRC either.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Charles E. Hewett (March 8)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Grapesurgeon was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Need at least three pieces of reliable secondary sources to pass notability standards, and I'm only seeing two; the maine mag and portland press herald. Others are just brief mentions of him, which don't count to notability, or press releases, ditto. Much of the article is unsourced; need a source for at least each paragraph.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.
