- Your sandbox includes the photo File:Cert MBR-First 24 Hour Self-Service Dog Boarding.jpg. There is no sense in which this is encyclopedic. Are you related to the topic of the draft, or have you been paid to edit Wikipedia? Bobby Cohn 🍁 (talk) 13:50, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Bobby Cohn 🍁,
- Thank you for your message and for taking the time to review the draft.
- To clarify, I am personally involved with the subject — I’m the founder of the facility. I now understand that this constitutes a conflict of interest (COI), and I sincerely apologize for not disclosing it earlier. I’ve reviewed Wikipedia’s COI guideline and Manual of Style, and I fully respect the need for neutrality and verifiability.
- Regarding the image (the certificate), I see your point — it was inappropriate in an encyclopedic context, and I’ve removed it from the sandbox. My intention was not to promote, but to help demonstrate notability. I understand now that such content can come across as advertising, and I will avoid including such material in the future.
- I’m committed to contributing responsibly and am happy to work through the Articles for Creation process instead. If you're willing, I’d really appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to better frame the topic in a neutral, encyclopedic tone.
- Thanks again for your feedback and patience. Fienkie84 (talk) 23:50, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello Fienkie84. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Fienkie84. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Fienkie84|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Bobby Cohn 🍁 (talk) 13:51, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Bobby Cohn 🍁,
- Thank you for your message and for outlining the policies so clearly.
- To clarify: I am the founder of the facility described in the draft, but I am not being paid or compensated by any third party to edit Wikipedia. I created the draft out of personal interest and a belief that the topic may meet notability guidelines. That said, I now realize that my involvement creates a conflict of interest, and I sincerely apologize for not disclosing this earlier.
- I understand that even non-paid COI editing should be handled with care, and that it's best for me to avoid direct edits to articles in this area. Going forward, I will refrain from article editing and will only propose changes or submissions through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process.
- I’ve also taken your advice seriously and reviewed Wikipedia's COI and paid editing policies in more detail. If you'd still recommend making a formal disclosure on my user page, I’m happy to do that — even though there is no employer or client involved, just personal involvement.
- Thank you again for your guidance, and I appreciate your patience as I learn to contribute appropriately.
- Best regards,
- Fienkie84 Fienkie84 (talk) 23:54, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- You are writing about your business, in which you have an obvious financial and other interest. This is what creates the conflict of interests, because your interest as the business owner may conflict with your interests as a Wikipedia editor. And given that your interest in your business is financial, that creates specifically the paid-editing kind of conflict of interests. So yes, you are required to disclose this, as instructed in the message above. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:57, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing that out, DoubleGrazing. I understand now that contributing content about a business I’m involved with constitutes a conflict of interest (COI), and I appreciate your clarification on the paid-editing aspect. I’d like to confirm that I’m not being paid by a third party to write this article, but I do recognize that as the owner/operator, I have a direct connection and that disclosure is required.
- I will make the appropriate COI disclosure on my user page, as per Wikipedia’s guidelines, and will refrain from making any direct edits to the article in mainspace. Instead, I’ll continue improving the draft through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process, aiming for a neutral, verifiable, and encyclopedic tone based on reliable sources.
- Thanks again for your guidance.
- Best regards,

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Fienkie84, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Fienkie84|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:33, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Fienkie84/sandbox

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Fienkie84/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Bobby Cohn 🍁 (talk) 13:57, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Bobby Cohn 🍁,
- Thank you for your notice and the tagging under G11. I understand the concern that the draft appeared promotional and may not have met Wikipedia’s neutrality standards. I’d like to clarify that the intent behind the sandbox was not to advertise, but to document what may be a verifiable first-of-its-kind facility, with the goal of meeting notability and neutrality standards.
- That said, I fully acknowledge the draft may have been written in a tone that was too promotional, especially due to my personal involvement with the topic. I’m now aware of the COI and paid editing policies, and I intend to follow the proper route by disclosing my connection and submitting only through Articles for Creation with neutral, well-sourced content.
- If possible, I would appreciate the opportunity to retrieve the deleted content for offline revision, so that I can rewrite it with a neutral tone and appropriate references for future review.
- Thank you again for your time and for helping new users like me learn the correct way to contribute.
- Best regards,
- Fienkie84 Fienkie84 (talk) 23:55, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

Dear reviewer, I've rewritten this draft to follow Wikipedia’s neutrality and sourcing standards. Promotional tone has been removed. Independent references from The Borneo Post and Free Malaysia Today have been added. The facility received official certification from the Malaysia Book of Records on 10 March 2025. - Thank you for your feedback on the draft article 24-Hour Self-Service Dog Boarding. I’ve made substantial revisions to address the concerns:
- Promotional tone removed: The article has been rewritten to adopt a neutral, encyclopedic tone, avoiding language that may seem like advertising.
- Uncited content removed: I removed statements that could not be supported by independent, reliable sources.
- Reliable sourcing added: The article now cites two independent media sources — The Borneo Post and Free Malaysia Today — to verify the facility’s operation and significance.
- Social media links: These have been moved to the "External links" section and are not cited as references.
- I appreciate your time and would be grateful for a re-review. Please let me know if there are further improvements needed. Thank you! Fienkie84 (talk) 05:55, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

- Promotional tone, editorializing and other words to watch
- Vague, generic, and speculative statements extrapolated from similar subjects
- Essay-like writing
- Hallucinations (plausible-sounding, but false information) and non-existent references
- Close paraphrasing

- Thank you for your feedback. I’d like to clarify that my original draft was not generated using ChatGPT or any large language model. I wrote it myself, based on my personal experience and information that I believed to be factual and supported by the available sources.
- In fact, my original version received a lot of positive attention and viewer comments, which encouraged me to improve and resubmit it through the proper channels. Now that I’ve used ChatGPT to assist with structure and tone (not to fabricate content), I’m trying to follow Wikipedia’s guidelines more closely.
- That said, I respectfully request that you please highlight the specific sentences that you believe contain:
- Promotional tone or editorializing
- Vague or speculative statements
- Any false or hallucinated information
- Close paraphrasing from sources
- Without concrete examples, it’s hard for me to understand what exactly needs to be corrected, and I would greatly appreciate more actionable feedback. I'm open to improving the article, but I’d like the discussion to be based on specific and fair critique, not broad assumptions.
- My only intention is to share a verifiable new concept that is already being used in practice and has received positive feedback from actual customers. I hope that by documenting it properly, this innovative idea can inspire similar progress not just in dog boarding, but also in other service sectors.
- Thanks again, and I look forward to constructive suggestions.
