Your submission at Articles for creation: Kissinger plan in Lebanon (September 13)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Robert McClenon was:
Thank you for your submission, but the subject of this article already exists in Wikipedia. You can find it and improve it at Kissinger plan in Lebanon instead.
 The comment the reviewer left was:
Two copies of this page have been created, in draft space and in article space. It is not necessary to create two copies of the same page, and it annoys the reviewers.

If the article either is ready for the encyclopedia or appears to be ready for the encyclopedia, the draft will be redirected to the article. However, the article could have been moved into article space instead.

If the article does not appear to be ready for the encyclopedia, the article may be nominated for deletion, and the draft will be kept.

This draft is either essentially the same as the article with the same name, or a subset of the article with the same name. The draft will be replaced by a redirect from draft space to the article.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Please do not make undiscussed, and clearly incorrect, page moves as you did with Call of Cthulhu (role-playing game). This is not a video game and does not need moving to have a year disambiguator. Canterbury Tail talk 13:09, 6 October 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Welcome!

Hi Jimmyp84! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.

I've noticed that you've expressed an interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Unfortunately, due to a history of conflict and disruptive editing it has been designated a contentious topic and is subject to some strict rules.

The rule that affects you most as a new or IP editor is the prohibition on making any edit related to the Arab–Israel conflict unless you are logged into an account and that account is at least 30 days old and has made at least 500 edits.

This prohibition is broadly construed, so it includes edits such as adding the reaction of a public figure concerning the conflict to their article or noting the position of a company or organization as it relates to the conflict.

The exception to this rule is that you may request a specific change to an article on the talk page of that article or at this page. Please ensure that your requested edit complies with our neutral point of view and reliable sourcing policies, and if the edit is about a living person our policies on biographies of living people as well.

Any edits you make contrary to these rules are likely to be reverted, and repeated violations can lead to you being blocked from editing.

West Beirut

Dear colleague, thank for your contribution to the topic of West Beirut. Please note that direct links to Wikipedia in Arabic are not as helpful as links to the corresponding articles in English. For example, instead of [[:ar:Hamra_Street|Hamra Street]] it is better to refer to Hamra Street article that is already in place. For the Arabic links that do not have an English articles yet, there is a {{ill}} template, for example [[:ar:Ain_El_Mreisse|Ain El Mreisseh]] can be replaced by {{ill|Ain El Mreisse|ar|lt=Ain El Mreisseh}}

Please also not that when translating from Wikipedia in another language, a note referring to the original must be left as an edit comment (see WP:COPYWITHIN). I will do it for this article post-factum. Викидим (talk) 22:56, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Also, the articles need to have WP:categories to be fully formed. Викидим (talk) 23:06, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello, can you explain to me what's going on? Because I have no idea what's going on.
I don't understand what's wrong with the article "assassination of Samer Hanna", neither adding a section to "West beirut" article. I don't seem to understand all these wikipedia laws. Jimmyp84 (talk) 05:37, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
You need to make 500 edits about other topics before you can edit about the Arab-Israel conflict. Please stop editing about anything related until you do -- Guerillero Parlez Moi 09:00, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for informing me!
But on my profile it says about my total edits:
  • Total edit count: 544

That statistic refers to the total number of edits you made across all WMF wikis. Speedy deletion nomination of Envato

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Envato, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your draft article, Draft:Hezbollah Tunnels

Hello, Jimmyp84. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Hezbollah Tunnels".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 03:58, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Onion skinning, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Translucent paper. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
