You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to Western Sahara. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:

1. Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
2. Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.

You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. Hello, thank you for the message. I’d like to clarify that my edit at Kaftan was not a blanking or unexplained removal. The removal of the two UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage boxes was accompanied by an edit summary explaining the reason for the change.

The UNESCO inscription "The women’s ceremonial costume in the Eastern region of Algeria: knowledge and skills associated with the making and adornment of the 'Gandoura' and the 'Melehfa'" (inscribed 2024) concerns the Gandoura and the Melehfa; the official UNESCO title and public description do not mention the caftan. One of the removed boxes also used an altered inscription title by adding garments not named by UNESCO.

Applying a UNESCO ICH box to the caftan article therefore misattributes the scope of the inscription and gives undue weight to a non-inscribed subject, which is not supported by the source (WP:V, WP:UNDUE). UNESCO ICH boxes are intended only for articles about the exact inscribed element.

Hey Mixinlord,

Nice work on the recent overhauls (Provinces and Prefectures), the articles feel more complete.

Quick heads-up though: I noticed a lot of spots where your new additions are missing citations, and sometimes the older sourced stuff gets dropped in the process. It might be common knowledge locally, but since it's WP:OR territory without a link, it's likely to get reverted. Let me know if you need a hand with the refs.

As for links: Double-check where your links are going. Some are hitting disambiguation pages (like Zemmour instead of Ait Zemmour) or historical regions instead of the specific city (like Tamasna vs. Tamesna (city)). Kurslash (talk) 20:21, 7 May 2026 (UTC)

I’m trying to be more careful with citations and with keeping older sourced material in place. Usually when I do so, it’s because the sources used are not working or don't exist anymore. The link issues are fair too; I hadn’t noticed some of those were going to disambiguation pages or to similar names. @MSK: Hi, could you explain to me how you determnied that additional sources were needed to establish notability? There are 10 sources, 8 of them being secondary sources. Because notability is usually assessed based on coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources, I’m not sure why the existing sourcing was considered insufficient. None of the sources I have checked meet SIRS; as none of them provide in-depth independent analysis of the company. The bar for notability in companies is much higher than it is for people. msk 21:59, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
