Royal Tunbridge Wells

Hello. Great work on the Listed buildings in Royal Tunbridge Wells list. I have added the link and picture for St Mark's Church, Royal Tunbridge Wells, however I think I might have messed up with the image as this list format style is new to me. Would you be able to have a look and check the entry for me please? The C of E God Save the King! (talk) 14:11, 29 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello. Only the file name must be entered when using the template. I fixed that and added a commonscat.I usually create a commons category even if there is only one picture for the object. The commonscat is necessary for wikidata. Tilman2007 (talk) 14:32, 29 December 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Listed buildings Maidstone

A tag has been placed on Listed buildings Maidstone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Listed buildings in Sittingbourne

Hey there, the first link at Sittingbourne appears to be incorrect. I tried to fix it but I can't seem to figure it out, so just letting you know. JTtheOG (talk) 21:53, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for checking. The issue is that you cannot search with the parish Sittingbourne because it's a non-civil parish, a relic from the former metropolitan boroughs. Tilman2007 (talk) 22:04, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
Got it. In that case, keep up the nice work. Is it all done manually? JTtheOG (talk) 23:37, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
There are two datasets from HE I merged to give a full set entries. Additionally a coordinate conversion for all 370k+ entries is done. I have a script to extract street and house number to get sortable csv. Some HE data, about 1 entry per parish, mainly war memorials, is corrupt and requires further manual research in the text of the official list entry.
Though adding pictures, articles and commonscat is manually. Tilman2007 (talk) 23:51, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
Very impressive indeed. Congratulations on your work so far. JTtheOG (talk) 00:19, 8 January 2026 (UTC)

Sandbox

Please note that sandbox pages such as User:Tilman2007/sandbox are not allowed to be filed in categories alongside real articles in mainspace, per WP:USERNOCAT. The page must stay out of any categories so long as it's in sandbox, and this is not an optional rule that you're free to disregard or ignore.

Since I've had to pull the page out of categories seven times over the course of its lifetime, with five of those coming just within the past two weeks alone, do not put it back into categories again, because sandboxes are not allowed to be in categories. Bearcat (talk) 14:22, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for the information. I won't add categories to the sandbox again. Tilman2007 (talk) 15:39, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi Tilman2007. Thank you for your work on Listed buildings in Wendens Ambo. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Consistent with the series; thanks. It's worth checking such lists to see whether any of the buildings have pages; I found one and added it.

Klbrain (talk) 12:26, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Klbrain:, usually I check the category of the parish for pages. It seems I missed one in that list. There are not many pages maintained in Wikidata. Sometimes Wikidata returns images and commonscat and I will use those in the list. Tilman2007 (talk) 17:06, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

Typos

I thought I'd let you know that for every listed buildings article you have created, you have been introducing typos after the sentence This list is based on the information retrieved online from Historic England. There have been extra spaces between the references, and the period had been after the references. Bneu2013 (talk) 22:32, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. It's a classic copy an paste error. Tilman2007 (talk) 22:36, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Lists of historic buildings

Hi. I thank you for your work on the lists of historic buildings, however there are several issues that I would question before you continue to progress. Firstly, you have created lists for pages like White Notley. However the list is now considerably bigger than the actual main article, which is a stub. Should the list be actually merged into the main article? Secondly you have created a list for Sible Hedingham, but the main article already has a version of the list started to be added, should you have not just updated the actual main article?. And thirdly, you have added per district, like Borough of Basildon and Castle Point, but these districts will no longer exist within three years due to the local government reorganisation? As you have listed the settlements within your lists, should you not either add the lists to the actual settlements or create lists for that settlement? Davidstewartharvey (talk) 06:45, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi. I noticed that many parish pages in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk are stubs. White Notley is one of the bigger stubs. If it's common practice to include the listed buildings in the parish list for stubs I'll include them there. I created for Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk only lists for parishes with roughly more than around 40 listed buildings because there districts with more than 100 parishes, most of them with stub pages.
Sible Hedingham is one of the few pages with many listed buildings in the parish page. I started to copy the descriptions to the note column in the listed buildings page. Once finished I can copy the list back to the parish page and put a redirect to the listed buildings page.
Listed buildings in the Borough of Basildon was my first page with multiple parishes. There reason for that were, that the area is small and the number of listed buildings is low. A separate list on parish level makes more sense because of future local government reorganisations. Tilman2007 (talk) 08:44, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Historic building images

Whatever script you're using to write these lists keeps cutting off parts of file names. It really doesn't like when they start with an apostrophe. Just thought I'd let you know.  Sumanuil. (talk to me) 10:10, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your notice. I'm using a table template that's in use for many years. I already replaced one file name with an apostrophe in the middle of the name. I need to figure out what's wrong with the template. Tilman2007 (talk) 10:17, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
@Sumanuil Is there a way to find out which picture links are broken? Tilman2007 (talk) 10:20, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
I'm just going through the ones that come up in Category:Articles with missing files, and then seeing which images aren't displaying by ctrl+F searching for the phrase "more images" (which is what displays when there's supposed to be one). Mostly it's pubs. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 10:23, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Listed buildings in Cambridgeshire moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Listed buildings in Cambridgeshire. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 04:53, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
