Trident (spacecraft)
Mission probably cancelled in c. 2021 in favor of DAVINCI and VERITAS, but this was never officially announced. However, the article is extremely out of date now, including a proposed launch date now past. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 06:14, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- Updated (changed verb tenses). Danbloch (talk) 21:58, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- Good, now do the same at Io Volcano Observer. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 03:27, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
Adopt an astronaut
I am looking for a volunteer to co-nominate the next astronaut article at FAC, which will be Gus Grissom. Gus was one of the original Mercury Seven astronauts. He died in the Apollo 1 fire. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 23:07, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
Input on Leik Myrabo
I recently ran across the page Leik Myrabo which was nominated by User:Very_Polite_Person as a physics and astronomy good article in September 2025. From a little analysis it is very unclear whether he passes WP:NPROF, there is a lot of WP:Peacock plus the page incorrectly stated that he used to be a professor at RPI (he was an associate prof from what I can find). Maybe he passes WP:GNG as a well known name in space propulsion, or perhaps this is a promo page that belongs at AfD. I would appreciate opinions. Ldm1954 (talk) 14:52, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- After reviewing the article I have removed {{WikiProject Spaceflight}} from the article's Talk page header. (— 𝐬𝐝𝐒𝐝𝐬 — - talk) 21:58, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
Satellite italicization
After reviewing several satellite pages, it seems that some are italicized and some are not for little apparent reason. Voyager 1 is italicized, but Sputnik 1 is not. Pioneer 6, 7, 8, and 9 is italicized, but Pioneer 1 is not. Is there some reason for this that's not particularly clear, or is there just not a standard policy on this point? - I would support attempts to eliminate unnecessary inconsistencies, particularly within individual articles. At the same time I support allowing editors of different articles to use different styles, particularly if they are trying to match their source material or have some other reason for making their choice. (Example: New Horizons vs. OSIRIS-Rex.) (— 𝐬𝐝𝐒𝐝𝐬 — - talk) 08:36, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
