Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Erwin Helfer, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Columbia College. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

hey, as someone who’s felt the same way (honestly, still working on it), please don’t. i know it sounds lame to say ‘it gets better,’ but that’s a cliche because it’s true. You are worth something. You are worth the world to some people. Those are people who would want you to stay.
Hoping the best, Shadestar474 (they/he) (talk) 21:12, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
[User removed content]
yeah, that’s fair. but still, I really hope you don’t end it. I think there are other people who hope you don’t end it, too.
Shadestar474 (they/he) (talk) 21:40, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
also, of course i care enough, cause for one thing, fellow enby, and also, as someone who has struggled with this too, I feel it’s my responsibility to help make sure other people don’t meet the same fate. Like, I wish I’d had help when I felt like that, so I’d rather be the change I want to see in the world than not be. Shadestar474 (they/he) (talk) 21:43, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
Hi Alex, here's a link to some mental health resources if you ever need to talk with someone. I'd suggest bookmarking a site or saving a number in your phone too if it's safe for you to do so. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 21:52, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

Hey, I just came here because I noticed the work you'd done to improve an article and wanted to say I appreciated it. I'm really sorry you're feeling so awful. You are worth so much. Even just in the Wikipedia edits I saw someone who cares and who makes the world a little better, bit by bit, and each of those little things helps someone else. Please be gentle with yourself. I accidentally blocked you for one minute while trying to block a vandal you were fighting against. Terribly sorry for the mistaken action; if the relevance of this block ever comes up, just clarify that it was a mistake made by me. Yue🌙 (talk) 19:58, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

I recommend trying out WP:Wikishield if you want. You can use really useful hotkeys for reverting people fast, and it even warns and reports people automatically. toby (t)(c)(rw)(omo) 02:15, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Rollback and Pending changes reviewer rights granted

Hi Enbi! I've been running into you while patrolling logs and recent changes, and I happened to notice that you don't have the rollback or pending changes reviewer user rights. I hope you don't mind, but I went through your contributions and I noticed that you're quite active in recent changes patrolling, and that you consistently view and undo vandalism and bad faith disruption. I believe that these user rights would be useful for you to have and that you'd make good use of both tools. Instead of having you formally request these user rights at WP:PERM, I went ahead and just gave them to you. These user rights allow you to review edits that are pending approval on pages currently under pending changes protection, as well as to quickly revert the edits of other users in cases of blatant vandalism.

Rollback permissions
Please keep these things in mind at all times when using rollback to revert edits:
  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle. It just adds a "[Rollback]" button next to a page's latest edits - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only, and never used to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask.
For more information on how to use rollback, see this tutorial page.
Pending changes reviewer permissions
Please keep these things in mind regarding the tools or when you're reviewing any pending changes:
  • A list of articles with pending edits awaiting review can be viewed at Special:PendingChanges, and a list of the articles currently under pending changes protection can be viewed at Special:StablePages.
  • Being granted and having these rights does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
  • You'll generally want to accept any pending changes that appear to be legitimate edits and are not blatant vandalism or disruption, and reject edits that are problematic or that you wouldn't accept yourself.
  • Never accept any pending changes that contain obvious and clear vandalism, blatant neutral point of view issues, copyright violations, or BLP violations.
You may find the following pages useful to review:

I'm sure you'll do fine with these user rights - they're pretty straight-forward and they don't drastically change the interface that you're used to already. Nonetheless, please don't hesitate to leave me a message on my user talk page if you run into any questions, get stuck anywhere, run into any issues or problems, or if you're not sure if the use of either tool is appropriate or not and need my input or advice - I'll be more than happy to help you any time you need it. If you no longer want one or both of these user rights, let me know and I'll be happy to remove them for you. Thank you for helping to locate, revert, and remove vandalism, as well as review and keep disruptive edits off of Wikipedia - it's a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:55, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

Just chipping in to say I also appreciate your hard work! (And I stole your userpage hatnote :D) Since you edit a lot from mobile, I'd recommend trying out WP:CVPI. :)
Also, an interesting essay that I would have found helpful if I'd known about it is Wikipedia:Identifying test edits. lp0 on fire () 07:42, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

non-article improving questions

hello beautiful enby with subjectively cute sounding name! straight to it cus i feel kinda overstimulated.

  1. how do i do the trans colors at the top like that?
  2. how do i do the SHA commitment? i know it’s a complicated computer language thing. ik i could search it up, but i honestly didnt feel like doing that, but im not forcing an answer.

lastly, we love saying “:3”! hehehe, just wanted to do happiness things lol :3. Tonkarooson📭|edits. 04:37, 31 January 2026 (UTC)

  1. You can transclude {{User:enbi/non-binary stripe}} anywhere on your userpage.
  2. You can use this tool to generate a hash, then you add the template {{Committed identity}} to your userpage with the first parameter being the output from the hash tool. This helps if your account is compromised because you can prove that you are back in control of your account by recalling the original input you used with the hash tool above. (which you should save somewhere) If you don't understand me (i'm pretty hard to understand), you can read the documentation at Template:Committed identity :3

Ohhh, if you want a trans one, you can copy this onto your userpage:

thank u! does it work if i add more than one still? — Tonkarooson • (📭|edits) 23:17, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
Not tested yet, but I think it would work. If you add too many (probably more than 2), it might get in the way of menus and toolbars though. enbi [they/them][talk] 23:31, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Wordsonwordsonpagesonwordshello (13:31, 11 March 2026)

Hi how do I know if what I contribute to a article is actually valuable and won't get deleted? --Wordsonwordsonpagesonwordshello (talk) 13:31, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi! I'd suggest contributing to articles by adding info sourced from reliable secondary sources. If your edit does get deleted, or "reverted" as we call it on Wikipedia and you don't agree with it, you can ask the person who reverted it why they did it using their user talk page. If you want more info on how to add sources to articles, you can read the page Help:Introduction to referencing with VisualEditor/1, and if you're still struggling, you can ask me for help. enbi [they/them][talk] 15:46, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Okay thanks!!!!! I mean I never usually have anything useful to add to a article because everything I know about a subject is usually on the article already so idk Wordsonwordsonpagesonwordshello (talk) 17:43, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
I'd recommend starting off by editing smaller, lower-traffic articles because it's easier to make good improvements to an article that doesn't already contain a lot of information. You can find a selection of small articles that need expanding at Category:Stubs. enbi [they/them][talk] 17:59, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
I already started to like link words in like articles which like don't have them linked idk how to describe it but like I'm really starting to edit things!!! Wordsonwordsonpagesonwordshello (talk) 18:01, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

About a recent revision

Hi! I myself am in no way related to this, but by complete chance I stumbled across it, and I wanted to bring it to your attention.

You recently undid a revision by Naslmah on the page Sabine G. MacCormack, citing non-neutral content. However, Naslmah's edit was only a size of -1 byte, and it's just that they removed the space between two paragraphs. I was wondering if the non-neutral content you were mentioning was one of those paragraphs. If so, it's still on the page, as reverting the edit only put the space back between the paragraphs.

Also, Naslmah seems to have many edits with a difference of only a couple of bytes. I looked at a couple of these at random, and most/all of them seem to be removing the spacing between two paragraphs. To me, this did not seem very constructive, and it always seemed like those paragraphs should be split. I'm a beginner editor though. Is there anything we can do about the situation? I don't want to manually revert each edit one by one.

Thanks! As I said, I'm a beginner, so tell me if I have anything wrong about this situation! Jayupe (talk) 02:01, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Jayupe Yeah, their edits are a problem (the revert may have just been a missclick and had the wrong edit summary). I've gone ahead and reverted all the edits with a fancy tool and sent them a message. Thanks for letting us know. LuniZunie(talk) 02:12, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
Thank you! Sadly, I've just been robbed of a hunnerd edits! (jk, though I'm very slowly trying to make my way to extended confirmed.) Jayupe (talk) 04:12, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
You were correct that the revert was wrong or at least tagged with the wrong reason. I wrongly identified that Naslmah added the text

While her scholarship continues to have a great impact, she was also a charismatic instructor at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, inspiring many of her students to pursue Late Antiquity as a field of study. A woman of firm opinions, she enjoyed inviting students and colleagues to long salon style evenings at her home to discuss scholarship and politics (whether at Stanford, Ann Arbor, or South Bend).

The description as charismatic seemed to have a promotional tone to it. The entire article also doesn't look very neutral with another section referring to her as a master of knitting. enbi [they/them][talk] 07:02, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

For taking care of the LTA who has seen a new opening through my talk page protection expiring. Sad, but what can you do. Still though, thank you! JeffSpaceman (talk) 20:52, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

LTA speculation

I hate to be this confrontational, but please stop speculating about who’s who when it comes to LTAs. Many of the guesses you make end up being wrong, and it happens quite often. Please slow down with the speculation. CutlassCiera 18:57, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

Any examples? LuniZunie(talk) 18:58, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
I just left a comment on an SPI about one of many times it's happened. It also happens a lot on SRG.
And can you stop inserting yourself in discussions where you are never pinged or mentioned? I noticed this happening a lot. CutlassCiera 19:04, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
What is going on with all this aggression? Wikipedia is collaborative whether you like it or not, you can't just say other people can't respond just because you don't like it, we literally have templates for this ((talk page stalker)). Just chill out, I asked a simple question and you start getting upset for no reason. LuniZunie(talk) 19:06, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Exactly how am I being aggressive? This discussion never mentioned you or your behavior. If anyone has a say in this it's Enbi themselves. I dislike your approach to this. CutlassCiera 19:08, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
And can you stop inserting yourself in discussions where you are never pinged or mentioned? I noticed this happening a lot.
This is aggresive. enbi and I often work together when learning about patterns off wiki, so this literally does relate to me because I am the one who told enbi it was BMX. All I asked was to see an example so if I could find where a mistake was made. If you can't admit that talk pages are open for everyone, then don't use them like they are private. LuniZunie(talk) 19:10, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
I'm sorry if you were the one who originally made the incorrect identification, but then it's certainly your issue too at this point. Please stop being so quick to judgement when it comes to this. CutlassCiera 19:17, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
How was I so quick to judge? Where did I judge first? You quite literally told me to get lost because I wasn't a part of this. Do you not see the issue here? LuniZunie(talk) 19:18, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
You're quick to judge LTAs. And that's a problem because it's often incorrect. See my point here? CutlassCiera 19:19, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
That's not the issue here that I'm discussing. I'm discussing your attitude, absolutely no reason to say And can you stop inserting yourself in discussions where you are never pinged or mentioned? I noticed this happening a lot. Like hell, I made a mistake, shit happens, okay so it wasn't BMX, great. But being a jerk about it when all I wanted to know was where this was happening? LuniZunie(talk) 19:21, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
All you had to do was omit the second line and this could have been a nice discussion. But no, you made it personal, I don't care if it was BMX, I was probably wrong and I see that. The issue here is your response to being asked the simplest of questions. LuniZunie(talk) 19:24, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Frankly, I've noticed a pattern of you doing so, and I wasn't a fan of it. This discussion right here proves my point. CutlassCiera 19:25, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Well, that's how a discussion works. It's an open talk page, not a "Cutlass gets to talk about what Cutlass wants and nobody else can join" page. LuniZunie(talk) 19:26, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Not being pinged or mentioned doesn't mean you can't participate in a discussion. I intervened on Sugar Tax's SPI because I saw that another editor was confused about the origin of the accounts, thinking that it was the real Sugar Tax. The reports were promptly moved to the correct investigation case by a clerk after my comment. enbi [they/them][talk] 19:13, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Except it simply was not the correct investigation. That's what the original message was about. Both of you need to stop with this arrogant, overconfident attitude towards antivandalism. CutlassCiera 19:15, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Yet once gain, the stewards locked as BMX. Stop with the personal comments, it's disgusting and you should know better. All that was asked was a simple question and you blew it up for no apparent reason. LuniZunie(talk) 19:16, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
The stewards base it off of SRG. I've seen many examples of incorrect locking. I'm confused by the accusation of personal attacks when what I'm saying is based directly off your own comments in this discussion. CutlassCiera 19:19, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Incorrect, the stewards originally gblocked as impersonation with no defined person; then later locked based on behaviour. And this: Both of you need to stop with this arrogant, overconfident attitude towards antivandalism. is very clearly a personal comment. LuniZunie(talk) 19:20, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
I'm not going to apologize for it because I find it to be true. You've been warned on meta to stop egging on vandals with your edit summaries. Just slow down and stop acting like you know everything when it comes to this topic. CutlassCiera 19:26, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
No I have not, that's just flat-out false. There was one instance that was a) not even an edit summary and b) involved one person who was not even a vandal. Yes I made a mistake, and I never claim I know everything about the topic. I literally asked you what the issue was to take a look at it. LuniZunie(talk) 19:28, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
If you can't be bothered to make sure the details of a claim you are saying is correct, don't say them. That's rule 1 of Wikipedia. LuniZunie(talk) 19:30, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
I could bring up many more examples when I get home, but here's one of many times this has happened. CutlassCiera 19:33, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
There was a reason for that in which I talked to stewards about afterwards, and no, I never got warned for that. LuniZunie(talk) 19:34, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
And once again, none of this has to do with my original question. Why be so aggressive when the original question was such a simple, easy to answer question? It feels as if you came into this looking for a fight. LuniZunie(talk) 19:38, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
This is going to be my last comment here, but my message remains.
Stop acting like you know everything when it comes to this topic. I'm not going to say anything further but this discussion proves my point. CutlassCiera 19:38, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
And yet you still have 0 examples of me saying I know everything. LuniZunie(talk) 19:39, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
I made one mistake and you're all up in here saying that I act like I know everything, and that I butt into conversations I'm not involved in (when I am). Take out your aggression somewhere else, doing it to people you work alongside is stupid and rude. LuniZunie(talk) 19:41, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
All of the evidence lines up. The editing patterns were obviously BMX. BMX had socked multiple times on the same day and continued to do so after making the ST accounts. Stewards, who have access to technical info, also agree that it was BMX. enbi [they/them][talk] 19:23, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Stewards don't check every account they lock, they usually just look at SRG, see "long-term abuse," and lock the account, often taking the name of the LTA word for word from the SRG report. CutlassCiera 19:28, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Again, the lock was done separately from the report. LuniZunie(talk) 19:29, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Stewards don't check every account they lock. Many accounts have been locked with "BMX" as the edit summary without them actually being BMX.
The typing style doesn't feel like BMX, and I can't think of any other times BMX has acted like that in terms of behavior. CutlassCiera 19:37, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
I'm going to be honest, there is absolutely no reason for this @Cutlass. Please see my response on the SPI page, LTA work is hard and you should know that, we don't need infighting/aggression over who is who when they all act like each other. LuniZunie(talk) 19:04, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi Cutlass, while I appreciate that you are vigilant about correctly identifying sockpuppeteers, I have no doubt that enbi and LuniZunie are also both responding to this matter in good faith, and I believe everyone would be better off if this discussion continued in a less confrontational manner.
This particular identification was stated in the log summary of a global lock, so if you would like to appeal the identification, your next step would be to contact the steward who implemented the lock on Meta-Wiki at m:User talk:SHB2000. However, because the LTA's behavior is blatant trolling that would be instantly recognized as warranting an indefinite block, a better course of action (in my opinion) would be to leave the identification as-is, thereby denying recognition to the LTA and minimizing the amount of time wasted on responding to their antics. — Newslinger talk 19:41, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
I agree: better to let it go, move on and leave it as-is per WP:DENY. Further action will just feed the trolls even more and make the dispute more heated. enbi [they/them][talk] 20:07, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
