As per WP:EVENTDOY, there has to be a wiki article specifically about the event in order for it to be eligible for inclusion in the Events section of DOY articles. I thought so too at first.

But after using the source for a while, I found out that it contains infromation that wiki doesn't.

So it's definetely cant take "all" from the Wikipedia.

Also, althrough it's not always 100% accurate, I saw many DOY pages citating it and nobody undid those changes. Thus I and the other users believe, that source can be trustworthy in most of the cases.

P.S. You undid only my recent edit, that source was used on that and other pages before.

I'm biased towards denying and demonizing everything Russia says or does because of current events, but I understand there is a certain ground to it. That's well documented. – "demonizing": I'm from Germany. The stereotypical German is a Nazi, e.g. in Hollywood movies. Pretty annoying and "demonizing", but I can't say it's unfair. There are good reasons for it. The generation of my great-grandparents really fucked it up, to put it mildly. Fortunately, the generation of my parents did a pretty good job of not invading other countries. Unfortunately, many Russians still think oppressing, killing and invading others is OK. Most people in the world think these are crimes and react accordingly. You perceive that as "demonizing" (and probably think it's due to "Russophobia"), but there are good reasons for it. – Anyway, that's not why you're now facing a site ban. Yes, I admit for the past few months I mostly edited Russia related articles and tried to highlight Russian point of view, because I feel like it's the one being neglected the most in the lights of current events, but I don't think everything about it is wrong or straight up lies. And I DO NOT think that killing or anything like this is ok. I'M NOT ABLE TO SHARE MY VIEWS ONLINE BECAUSE I MIGHT FACE CONSEQUENCES, but I don't watch the news, I don't work anywhere in the government (certainly not getting payed for my edits). The current political and my personal situation for past few months was kinda hard. And yes, I don't want to get too personal, but my grandfather shared a pain of Soviet opression as well. I guess this moment in my life was an overcompesation for something, I got too carried away in the process. It was dumb of me to change every article, and I didn't even liked it all that much. But I swear I had no intention of trolling or anything like that by starting that RfC, I just thought it would be more appropriate accroding to Wiki format. And I regret doing it to be honest, this has all spiraled out of control with those news and and posts.

I don't only debate users and change Estonian birth places, in fact this wasn't my priority at all until last year. I mostly edited unimportant articles and my personal page. I have my sandbox where I keep completely unrelated stuff, I have my wall where I store my list of movies and a phrasebook. Wikipedia is my space and I value it. I didn't know it could be so easy to loose. I wish I was indef blocked from discussions and Baltic related articles, but still have the ability to edit my page and my page only. I hate that RFC and I hate myself for being too incompetent and swift.

I've noticed that the reason for my uncivil conduct is me engaging in debates without knowing the rules good enough, In fact I engage with same users from that Baltic RFC and related discussions, but on different pages. You, @TylerBurden, @ExRat and LordCollaboration (not sure if I'm allowed to tag them). I believe the atmosphere of distrust has formed between us after that RFC, and it carried on to determine our future interactions. I hope the time will fix it, because while we had a conflict of interests, I have nothing against you, or countries you are from.

Let this message serve as my lament for everything that happened. I feel sorry and I apologize to everyone I could've harmed or made upset, and for my disruptiveness, stuborness and overall donkey-like behaviour and cheeky comments. I don't want to re engage in any kind of discussions anymore, I just need this moment of my life to pass to become more restrained again. All I wish for now, is to save the ability to edit my own page and to lay down. I need some rest and a break from Wikipedia, a long one. Very roughly speaking, a WP:site ban is a bigger hammer than a WP:block. But I just had another look at WP:site ban and realized the difference isn't as big as I thought. The main difference seems to be the handling of unblock requests: In the case of a ban, the community has to decide; in the case of a block, an administrator can decide. In either case, you will still be able to edit your user talk page. But you probably shouldn't, except for an unblock request in six months or so. The main point is: If you want to come back, you really need to change your behavior. You need to collaborate with others, even if you strongly disagree with them. Don't see them as enemies, don't be aggressive. At the moment, it seems likely that you will be blocked or banned. I believe if you are able to establish a record of persistent civility, you would be unbanned (likely with a TBAN or IBAN, though). The method I would recommend is the standard offer. However, this doesn't just mean not editing for 6 months; such a thing would make it impossible for people to properly determine if you are capable of editing civilly. Edit another Wikimedia foundation project. The Simple English Wikipedia is usually recommended, but any of the projects work. One in English is preferred to make it easier for others to review what you have done. Prove that you are able to edit in a civil manner on that project, wait 6 months from your ban, then post an appeal.

I strongly disagree with you on many issues, but I'm not your enemy and not part of any cabal. – Regarding Reddit etc.: In my experience, such attempts of outside interference with Wikipedia usually only have rather shallow short-term effects and die out quickly. Almost all of these people will have forgotten about you in a few months, maybe weeks. Don't worry too much about them. The people that matter are the long-term editors here. I want to confess, the message in question, though uncivil, carried primarily satirical and purposefully exaggerated character and is the earliest example of me conducting an act like that. Back then I thought it's a smart way "to express my suspicion and disatisfaction in a witty matter while lowkey scaring off the user" and it's not prohibited. I didn't treat it seriously back then, but I saw how inappropriate it is after time.

Reddit posts and news outlets do affect the common infospace in my opinion. They gather thousands of views and urge non Wikipedians to engage In Wikipedia activities. They also affect the perception of of non involved users. I have personally been accused of working for Kremlin and being an asset by different users for the span of past months. P.S.: Initially, you wrote that you wanted to "promote Russian point of view", but then you changed it to "highlight Russian point of view". I think the first version was more spontaneous and honest. Since October, you did try to promote the Russian (or Soviet) point of view. In a way, that's normal – there are tons of editors who try to promote a point of view, e.g. regarding Israel, veganism, Trump, or whatever. But they're all wrong, because they all tend to violate WP:NPOV. We're all biased, but we must not let our biases influence our editing. That means we have to be aware of our biases. And when we fail to adhere to WP:NPOV (which we all do occasionally), and others point it out or revert our edits, that doesn't mean they are our enemies or conspiring against us. Just to clarify, "the final warning" indicated that I will not leave any further warnings on their page, "This was your final warning" not "this is your final warning" (as seen on the notice board) as if I warned them again.

I was not aware that leaving a warning can be interpreted as harassment, in fact the exact reason I left it is to remind them that I'm not willing to engage in the debate with them. All I did is left a warning, I did not to threat the user. His account is over 20 years old, why would I get them banned? I just wanted them to remind them about public accusations, since it is offensive to me, as it falls under Template:FalseRacismAccusationsText (as I thought). That's why I said it's my final warning, because I do not want to engage in this or see that anymore. It had no threat in it, I thought it's the civil way to notify them. I;ve changed after my previous ban, I do not agressively engage with anyone, I always leave edit summaries and initiate the discussions.

I admit I deserve a long term ban for not knowing the rules good enough, but is it really indef worthy? I did not know that warning is innapropriate. I want to apologize to ExRat in case I have intimidated them. When I say it I mean as in the case before. For Arbcom doesn't bother with content-disputes, but only with whether an editor is a net-positive or net-negative to the entire English Wikipedia.
