Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jane Pauley, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Democratic Party. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hello, I'm Remsense. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks. Redlinks are useful and can often be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.

In addition, clicking on the "What links here" link (in the tools listed at the left in desktop view) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Please only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Changing to outdated images

Perhaps you think Mikhail Mishustin looks very pretty in his 2020 official government photo, and that's why you're repeatedly trying to change the image of him on the Russia article to it, but I'm going to ask you to gain consensus before you attempt to do so again, as not only is the current image in use more up to date, being taken this very year, but it's also a much more natural photo consistent with the one of Putin. Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 14:48, 13 September 2025 (UTC)

In case it wasn't clear before, your frequent lack of edit summaries is a bad habit and at best comes off as lazy. Please start implementing them more often. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 12:05, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Special Agent Oso, but you didn't provide a reliable source. ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:52, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at 2026 G20 Miami summit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Stop icon You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.

You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. 331dot (talk) 13:44, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

@331dot I am not sure if this is referring to Russia, but they are edit warring there as well over images. TylerBurden (talk) 22:52, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Continued overlinking

Legofan3484, I see that other editors have repeatedly asked you to review WP:OVERLINKING and to stop linking common terms. I have reverted your edit to Pinocchio (1940 film) here as you are still linking common terms such as fox, puppet, cricket, and donkey (that's not an exhaustive list, just a few I grabbed as an example). You also linked anthropomorphic twice. Such overlinking is not helpful to our readers, so please please be more selective on what you link, and if you're unsure, just don't add links at all.-- Ponyobons mots 23:16, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  331dot (talk) 22:54, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Speaking of the page "Nicolás Maduro"

You made an edit to the page on the first line without seeing the talk page discussion, and that's why your edit was reverted there. My position is the opposite, but I still referred this discussion to the talk page of that article (Talk:Nicolás Maduro). Candidyeoman55 (talk) 19:47, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
