You haven't said what you think is wrong with the coordinates in the article, and they appear to be correct. If you still think that there is an error, you'll have to give a clear explanation of what it is. Deor (talk) 18:58, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

Proposal to add historical predecessor states to the infobox

I would like to suggest adding important historical predecessor states of present-day Bangladesh to the "Formation" section of the infobox. Possible additions include: Vanga, Pala Empire, Sena dynasty, Bengal Sultanate, Mughal Bengal These states played a major role in the history of the territory that is now Bangladesh. Similar historical states are listed in the infoboxes of countries such as Iran and Tunisia. I would appreciate feedback from other editors on whether these should be included. Bangladesh Garments Industry

STOP Messing with Bangladesh with ill motivated Indian Narratives

Whoever is trying to mess with the data here, STOP. You don't label Bangladesh with Religious Violance, an ill motivated nasty narrative by India - a casteridden, super communal intolerant dark dysfunctional mess! India is the breeding ground of communalism under the rules of some Hindutva communal extremist mass-mirderers and fanatic Hindu outfits that persecute Muslims along with the Christians and Dalits/Untouchables everyday as part of their religious rituals and practices. So, if you have to label some country with Religious Violance, that would be none other than India! But you bunches (indian hindus) locked the India page conveniently from editing with the facts and truth! So, STOP your monkey business with Bangladesh, period! WP:BATTLEGROUND comments like this are why this article is semi-protected and why India is extended-confirmed protected. Please stick to policy-based reasons for your objections. Yue🌙 (talk) 05:45, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
Yes, moderators like you unfortunately invite these kind of comments for your sheer ignorance and failures in managing facts/truth vs mis/disinformation. You find reasons to protect India page but leave others like Bangladesh at your mercy!
Enough facts were provided. Removed the propaganda lies twice but you put it back without thinking twice.
Question is which world do you guys live in and how do you do your fact-check and based on what criteria you deny a correction and put it back? Mmkhan.mmk (talk) 01:17, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
Every claim is supported by reliable sources. If you'd still like to suggest a change, please write it in the format "Change X to Y." We'd be happy to take a look. — Raihanur (talk) 04:06, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
@Mmkhan.mmk: All your questions can be answered by the list of policies linked in the introductory message left on your talk page over nine years ago. Also, doubling down and attacking specific editors and/or the community as a whole for "sheer ignorance and failures" is not at all appropriate, especially when you're asking questions about basic policies in the same response. Political career of a Dristrict leader

I want to share the story and political life of this leader ~2026-43090-67 (talk) 09:02, 5 August 2026 (UTC)

Hi ~2026-43090-67. Wikipedia articles are based on reliable sources (newspaper articles, books etc)- so to write an article you will need to have access to a few of those that discuss the leader in some detail. If the article does not yet exist, the process at Wikipedia:Articles for creation will help. Commander Keane (talk) 09:52, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
And also note that the political career of a district leader probably will not be mentioned on the article about the country of Bangladesh. If they're notable by themselves, they might get their own article or they can be mentioned in the article about the district. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 10:10, 5 August 2026 (UTC)

Proposal to Include Ancient Bengal Kingdoms in the Bangladesh Infobox

I propose adding historically significant ancient kingdoms originating in Bengal, such as Vanga, Samatata, Harikela, and the Pala Empire, to the Bangladesh Wikipedia infobox. These states represent the region's ancient political and cultural heritage. Including them, with reliable sources and historical dates, could help highlight Bangladesh's deep historical roots while distinguishing these ancient states from the modern country. Rakayett04 (talk) 07:29, 18 October 2026 (UTC)

The infobox is not intended to highlight deep historical roots, it is intended to display the date when a country became sovereign. CMD (talk) 10:21, 18 October 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for clarifying. I understand that the infobox focuses on Bangladesh's sovereignty. Would it be appropriate to mention these ancient kingdoms in the article's lead or historical overview instead, so readers can better understand the region's ancient political heritage? I would ensure that any additions are supported by reliable historical sources. Rakayett04 (talk) 10:25, 18 October 2026 (UTC)
They are already included. CMD (talk) 11:15, 18 October 2026 (UTC)
I understand that Bangladesh's ancient kingdoms are already mentioned in the article. However, my suggestion is to include selected ancient Bengal states in the infobox's Establishment section, with approximate dates, similar to Iraq's infobox. Possible entries include Vanga, Samatata, Harikela, and the Pala Empire. These would represent the region's historical heritage, not the establishment of modern Bangladesh. Would this format be appropriate under Wikipedia's infobox guidelines? Rakayett04 (talk) 11:32, 18 October 2026 (UTC)
This was already answered above. Please do not rely on an llm to talk for you. CMD (talk) 11:34, 18 October 2026 (UTC)
This is my countey real empire list, so that's why i give iu that info Rakayett04 (talk) 11:36, 18 October 2026 (UTC)
