It is not shared use, it is named after Charles Rowan and Richard Mayne, joint first commissioners of the Metropolitan Police, since police history is one of my interests. MayneAndRowan (talk) 14:57, 21 May 2025 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Chief Surgeon of the Metropolitan Police

Notice

The article Chief Surgeon of the Metropolitan Police has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Searches did not turn up enough in-depth coverage from independent, reliable sources to support meeting WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Claude Vincent

Hi there. While doing New Page Reviews, I reverted your undiscussed move of Claude Vincent to a disambiguated title where the only other entry was a redlinked article. If there is another Claude Vincent article in the future, that can be discussed, but the current article is likely to remain the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, at least at first, and thus disambiguation can be resolved with WP:HATNOTEs instead of moving the page. See also WP:TWODABS. If you wish to undo my revert, please start a discussion at WP:RM. Thanks! Dclemens1971 (talk) 04:27, 20 August 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of London Architectural Salvage and Supply Company

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on London Architectural Salvage and Supply Company requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Nyxion303💬 Talk 04:00, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Belbury. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to LASSCO have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Per MOS:DABNOENTRY, disambiguation pages should not include entries without links since this would not help readers find information about the sought topic. Belbury (talk) 12:31, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Similarly we shouldn't put a hatnote on Los Angeles Steamship Company, per WP:NOARTICLE. Disambiguation pages and hatnotes are only for when we can actually redirect the reader to a page with more information.
Do you think there are enough sources out there to write a short stub article on the London LASSCO? A couple of in-depth newspaper pieces would be enough to meet WP:ORGCRIT. Belbury (talk) 13:29, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Restoration of London Architectural Salvage and Supply Company

This notice is to inform you that the article was speedy deleted on A7 grounds (the article did not demonstrate why it was notable.) I contested the nomination due to timing issues, and have since added several sources about this topic. However, the article is still at risk for deletion until it clearly shows why this company may be significant. As you created this page, and are involved in several related pages, you seem to have pre-existing knowledge of this company. I'd appreciate your involvement in improving this enough to keep.
