Quotes within citations

Hi Lofi Gurl and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you have been including quotations from your sources as part of some of your citations. While doing so is allowed, in my opinion providing quotations from your citations is not necessary unless the material has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, especially if the source is not readily available online. Also, most quotations will generate a false positive report at CopyPatrol, which creates extra work for the people who assess those cases. There's been at least 8 recent ones from your work in the last day or two, which is where I noticed them.--Diannaa (talk) 20:14, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for bring this up with me, I guess I can omit or shorten them. I thought the quotes themselves were interesting and wanted to share them while recounting them in my own words in the article. Lofi Gurl (talk) 20:17, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

Off-label use of {{wikinews}}

I noticed you are dropping a lot of {{wikinews}} template news items into the middles of articles. You seem to misunderstand the purpose of this template, viz: external links at the end of the article. It is never used to to add references to support the text of an article. Prominent in the template description is:

X markN Do not place this template in the main body of the article.

Using this template to add references in the body of the article isn't how the template works. And your usage is almost always duplicative of the already-present referenced text so it wouldn't be an improvement anyway.

I removed the most recent few of these edits. Please go back through your history and remove the rest. -- M.boli (talk) 15:17, 7 December 2024 (UTC)

Fair enough, but please understand I wasn't using these as citations. I know Wikinews isn't an acceptable source here. I just placed them wrong. Thank you for directing me to put these in the External Links section instead. I did this with the intention of encouraging people to contribute to Wikinews. Slam death metal and nu metal

Hi, with this edit, you added the phrase that slam metal borrows "bounce and groove" from nu metal, citing the book Death Metal by T Coles. I can't access this book, and was wondering if you could share the quote from this book where this is mentioned. I'm just a bit skeptical since slam was pioneered around 1991, while nu metal didn't begin until around 93-94. Issan Sumisu (talk) 09:42, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

Added quote. Sorry, I guess I made it confusing on my first attempt. How does it look now? I guess "borrow" was the wrong word, I just used it to avoid possible copyvio. Thanks for making inquiries! Lofi Gurl (talk) 16:18, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

Quick thank you

Just wanted to say if you were ever feeling doubtful or uncertain of your editing abilities, don’t. In the few months you’ve been editing, you’ve gone above and beyond to expand dozens of different articles and have done a fantastic job retrieving sources. Keep doing what you’re doing Susrage (talk) 00:28, 29 May 2025 (UTC)

It means alot! Lofi Gurl (talk) 00:44, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
Btw just wanted to ask for quick tips, where do you usually gather your sources from and how do you pile them up for new additions to articles Susrage (talk) 02:49, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
I usually start by finding an article I want to expand, and then I search the keyword into Google, filter it by "News", then sometimes I'll filter by year to make sure I'm not missing anything good that may have gotten buried. I sometimes compile all these links in a Word document if I'm getting deep into a specific project, though most of the time I'm just pulling information from whatever sites I can fit in my web browser at one time.
I watch alot of band interviews on YouTube and I pull tons of information and quotes from those as well. I also pull alot of information out of interior notes from reissues of music albums.
I also check out alot of books from the library and use those as sources. I thankfully have a vast collection of resources at my disposal.
Hope this helps! Lofi Gurl (talk) 03:07, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
Yeah that is very helpful. One more thing I wanted to ask, can the information from album notes and library information be found online Susrage (talk) 21:30, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
Sometimes you can find it online, sometimes you can't. It really depends. Alot of information I pull from books I was not able to easily find online. Lofi Gurl (talk) 16:33, 30 May 2025 (UTC)

Ways to improve Progressive alien deathcore

Hello, Lofi Gurl,

Thank you for creating Progressive alien deathcore.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The only search results I could find were these three lists of "weird metal genres" (already cited). I'm not sure that Wikipedia needs an article about every single nanogenre that anyone ever imagined.

Hi, this information was removed from the deathcore articles without good reason (the edit summary for the removal was literally just an emoji). Maybe it doesnt warrant its own page but with three sources from major publications it warrants inclusion in some way. Lofi Gurl (talk) 13:13, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

I've also left a response on my own talk page. I do believe some form of mention in deathcore's body of text isn't inappropriate... but having its own article is taking it too far. Also despite this disagreement in content, there is no hard feelings on my end Lil Happy Lil Sad :): 05:19, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
No hard feelings here either. I'm thinking we can instead maybe make mentions of these listicles in the "musical style" sections of Rings of Saturn ect.. When I heard the word "progressive alien deathcore" I thought it was so stupid that people needed to know about it. Lofi Gurl (talk) 07:23, 8 September 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Midget Handjob, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.

Information icon Hello, I'm Kvinnen. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Buddy Nielsen, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Kvinnen (talk) 19:20, 12 December 2025 (UTC)

Reverted your edit. Most if not all of the nine sources I included are accredited publications. I'm assuming you just made a mistake. No biggie. Lofi Gurl (talk) 19:25, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
This edit? The diffs point to just raw info addition with no sources. I am, however, assuming good faith, you seem experienced enough to not make this error, perhaps I am missing something. Kvinnen (talk) 19:32, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
There were already nine sources in the article and some of them easily verified that claim. Buddy being the last remaining member of Senses Fail is common knowledge and is not likely to be contested anyway. Your revert technically removed sourced information that was in the "Personal life" section. Lofi Gurl (talk) 19:38, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
That exact same claim has been sitting unsourced in the lead section of the Senses Fail article for over ten years. Is that to be removed too? Lofi Gurl (talk) 19:40, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
Of course, I would support that. Kvinnen (talk) 21:19, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
Well it's all sourced now anyway. Lofi Gurl (talk) 01:29, 13 December 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Zacky Vengeance when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Vice article

Hi. I appreciate your good-faith additions to numerous bands cited in the Vice article, but this is a spoof article. The edits need to be reverted. Popcornfud (talk) 12:46, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

any way we can just add a mention thst it's satire? The article itself doesn't explicitly state its satire. I wouldn't have even used it if it did lol Lofi Gurl (talk) 12:55, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Can I just remove the "Worst Musicians Ever List" thing and add that journalists jokingly said all those things? Vice is a major publications. Mentions of the bands in their article warrants summaries of their comments in our article. Check out what I did at the Tool article. Lofi Gurl (talk) 13:00, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
I agree with Popcornfud. This looks like a comedy article, and adding to all the artists' pages like you're doing is likely undue weight. Doc Strange (talk) 16:35, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
How do you feel about the article simply stating the artists wete mentioned in satire articles? Surely that is testament to lasting impact right? Is there a specific policy that states we are forbidden from simply stating someone or something was featured in a satire article? Lofi Gurl (talk) 16:39, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Would Wikiquote be a more appropriate space for these passages? Lofi Gurl (talk) 16:43, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
As long as I specify that the journalist is joking, and I bring more sources to make the section more balanced, I see no reason the quotes shouldn't be included in the article. Vice is a publication that is notable enough to have a Wiki page here. It's notable coverage. The quotes are extremely pithy, as well. The information would be of interest to music fans and music historians. Lofi Gurl (talk) 16:49, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Another person chiming in to say I agree that this Vice article shouldn't be added as a ref either. It's not providing meaningful commentary. You're not grabbing good quotes from it. Please stop. Sergecross73 msg me 17:13, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Fair enough. I disagree with the assessment that they are not good quotes, but I will respect the community's consensus in not including these. Would Wikiquote be a better place for these? Lofi Gurl (talk) 17:26, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Upon rurther refelection I am now able to see how these quotes are copendiumic(?) rather than encyclopedic. They are outside of the project's scope. Lofi Gurl (talk) 17:51, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
+1, just chiming in to agree with the others here. This is a joke article. Caleb Stanford (talk) 19:37, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for the input, this is already resolved so there is no need for you to pile on further. Lofi Gurl (talk) 19:41, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
not my intention to "pile on"! My sincere apologies if it came across that way. Caleb Stanford (talk) 23:04, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
No apology needed friend. I should not have been so callous in my reply. Lofi Gurl (talk) 23:06, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

Poor content additions

I hate to bring this up when you've already received a lot of negative feedback above, but you're being rather prolific in your content additions, so I wanted to explain some things to you. Long story short, please be more selective and careful with the content you add. There's two main issues:

  1. Trivial, unimportant content - You keep adding unimportant commentary to articles. A lot of these "band appeared in a top 10 listicle" isn't terribly important to cover. But it's extremely unimportant when you're referring to critically and commercially huge bands. Tool (band) and Metallica have had a huge, lasting impact on the music world. Appearing on a top 10 listicle on Loudwire in 2016 is not one of them.
  2. The general rule of thumb on Wikipedia is to only use direct quotes when there's certain content that you can't paraphrase without losing some of the impact. And they should generally be concise and to the point. For example this one isn't particularly well done. It's somewhat interesting he coined their sound "evil disco" but a lot of that direct quote is rambling and without much substance. It shouldn't be such a large direct quote.

These sorts of edits aren't a massive problem, but you keep doing it a lot, and on very high visibility articles that are well developed and watched over by experienced editors, so you're just going to continue to get pushback on this. And if editors continue to make the same mistakes, sometimes editing rights can be restricted, so please take this to heart. You've got to adjust your approach. Sergecross73 msg me 15:11, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

All makes sense to me. I usually edit underground music and wanted to try editing mainstream music to try and change things up. I guess its a different animal.
I'll start summarizing/paraphrasing quotes more. I won't add it to lead sections of famous bands. I'll only use those listicles as sources when I'm writing "style and influences" sections or stuff like that. They are actually really useful for writing those. Thanks for talking to me. I've been a music fan since age 13 and a writer since age 5. Lofi Gurl (talk) 15:21, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
I get it, that makes sense. I often write about smaller indie bands too, and what I include in their articles is much different than what I include in mainstream bands. A lot of it is contextual. Rolling Stone doing a feature on Liquid Mike was a career altering event, so I include it, but the same sort of feature on the Foo Fighters the same year would be routine and completely pointless to mention in their 30 year history. Sergecross73 msg me 15:31, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
(Was going to respond earlier, but last two days have been sudden and dramatic for me.)
I have seen this user (Lofi Gurl) add quotes/quote boxes to articles, but I feel they do so without actually analysing them/considering them critically enough i.e. for example in January 2025 they added a quote to Breeding the Spawn which I later checked and found was not related to the album whatsoever and was more general to their writing, and also when they add quote boxes like this which do not explain the album to the reader and instead compromise its neutrality. In cases like this the use of a quote box is overdoing it and could be summarized into a brief line.
I do find it annoying when I have seen it; not necessarily because of the addition, but because it's very copy/paste with no effort to intergrate it into proper writing. That pretty much summarises it; that although Lofi is clearly passionate about writing music (if you're not passionate to begin with, why write on wikipedia??), they're yet to figure out how to derive utility from sources in an non-literal manner i.e. writing in their own words. I kinda see writing wikipedia album articles as like trying to describe a one-way scenic journey from beginning to end, so that by the end of the article the critical reception comments make sense (i.e. when discussing and offering opinion on parts of the album, etc, idk); adding quote boxes with no effort to intergrate them would be akin to adding a (seemingly) random, massive 100-metre billboard advertising papa johns or something midway through that journey, if you get my mental picture. There is a difference between writing and adding text.
Also: I know the notes to my reversion edits on Spit do not make sense out of context, so I'll explain: I have been trying to write and rewrite Spit into a FA-article for almost three years now (and have also made a GA topic out of the other Kittie albums); my reaction to your edit was a mixture of it being bad (you didn't check and see that the revolver albums list was already cited in the lead!!) and me being frustrated at myself because writing has taken SO MUCH TIME and i thought it would be avoidable if i had finished it by now. Alas, I cannot rush this due to how complicated arranging all the facts (and a dearth of retrospective/secondary coverage; imo, bc sexism) is. I think did include the "heavy songs" accolade mentioned in an earlier version (i.e. from 2023) but later removed them as the term "heavy" operates normatively in a heavy music context/the source, isn't obvious/understandable to non-fans/listeners/etc, and tells us nothing of its quality.
also, the ages when we began writing and became a fan of music and taking advice constructively have nothing in common. // Chchcheckit (talk) 21:14, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
Also, you can start changing your ways by trying to reintergrate the Loudwire accolades you added to Calculating Infinity into the reception properly. // Chchcheckit (talk) 21:22, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
First time anyone has complained to me about the quote boxes. Why didn't you tell me before? How were you able to check the quote on Suffocation? Do you have access to the book I used as a source? I could have just accidentally placed that quote in the wrong article. It was a year ago. Lofi Gurl (talk) 21:40, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
I bought the book (Coles, T. Death Metal.) from Amazon Kindle and checked out of curiosity, to see if it had anything else. Which it didn't. // Chchcheckit (talk) 21:46, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
Okay then I'm going back to the library and double checking this then. I could have literally just accidentally placed it in the wrong article when I was a new editor. Its hard for me to believe you bought an entire book just to check one passage on Wikipedia. Lofi Gurl (talk) 21:49, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
Also, why are you trying to make excuses for yourself over a long-gone non-issue? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ // Chchcheckit (talk) 21:47, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
If its a "long gone non-issue" why are you bringing it up a year later? Lofi Gurl (talk) 21:50, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
1. You'd be suprised at what impulsive spenders can do (not clickbait???/j). I was bored.
2. Because, it if its a "long gone non-issue" you shouldn't be editing, nor reacting, the way you are presently.
// Chchcheckit (talk) 21:59, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
You didn't answer my question on why you're bringing it up a year later if its a "long gone non-issue". I put my heart and soul into everything I do and I'll be devastated if I find out I made a mistake. Lofi Gurl (talk) 22:05, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
We're seriously not having a debate over "OMG i made one factual error on article and my life is over cancelled decredited ostracized etc etc" (you) vs "I have spent almost 3 years editing one album and I am still struggling, I'm not confident and would really love help but am determined to finish this regardless" (me).
You cannot learn/improve your skills at guitar without expecting to gain callouses on your hands; the same can be said with wikipedia and editing.
bye lol // Chchcheckit (talk) 22:23, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
tldr if paranoia/fear is stopping you from progressing into becoming a better more well versed editor, then FUCK paranoia. you gotta live with it and that discomfort is what makes you BETTER. i cannot stress this enough // Chchcheckit (talk) 22:25, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
I'm just trying to fill my brain with as much knowledge as I can and share as much as I can with the time I have on this earth. I'm sorry for being so sloppy and lazy with my content additions. When I first started edited I just knew I wanted to add ALOT. I always figured Wikipedia articles were works in progress, but at least I have some more context now. I can pull information from the stupid listicles and convert them to encyclopedic content. I'm really good at it. If you've seen my work on here and especially on Wikinews it is apparent that I know how to do it, but its equally apparent on some days I like to jump from article to article (because its fun). There's nothing wrong with slowing it down and concentrating on one article at a time though. The whole problem is... how do you even decide which article you are going to sit down and concentrate on? Lofi Gurl (talk) 22:46, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
I do admire your efforts to get music articles to featured status, I'm sorry if you feel like your constructive criticism was not received well by me. Lofi Gurl (talk) 22:48, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
Is there anything I can do to help streamline the process of getting some of these to good or featured status? Lofi Gurl (talk) 22:51, 23 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi @Lofi Gurl: You will need to stop these disruptive habits before it leads to the out door. Ref bombing isn't cool. A one line article doesn't need 22 reference in any circumstances. Cut it out. Merry Christmas. scope_creepTalk 08:21, 25 December 2025 (UTC)

I don't see why I would be blocked, seeing as how I have not done it since you told me about it? Lofi Gurl (talk) 14:07, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
The main reason I left all the refs in the page was because I thought I was going to go back to it and expand it. I also didn't really know about WP:MUSICBIO and didn't know which links were going to establish notability, so I just used em all to be safe. Sandbox next time? Information icon Hello @Lofi Gurl. Several of your article creations contain a large amount of close paraphrasing that take up almost the entire article text. I have included some examples below:

Due to these instances of excessive quotation, I have had to remove them from the articles. Please be more careful when summarising sources and stray away from pasting entire blocks of text. Thank you! 11WB (talk) 05:36, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for the fix; quite ref tip

Hi there! Thanks for fixing this on Unwritten Law! Just as a tip for filling out author information: if the author is just "staff" or unlabeled, just drop those two fields and don't bother filling them in. First name isn't "<publication>" and last name "staff". TheSandDoctor Talk 17:22, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

Apologies, that was the auto-cite feature in the Visual editor. I suppose I should start vetting my citations better after the widget makes them for me. Thanks! Lofi Gurl (talk) 20:54, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
Vetting is a good idea but all good. In this instance at least, it's more a tip/best practice rather than something you violated per se. As you say, it's automatically done by visual editor in some cases. That said, it is definitely a good idea to double check what it fills in because it is known for not always getting things 100% right (including publication names, wildly enough). TheSandDoctor Talk 05:03, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

"Scene music"

I know you are trying to help, but this is not a good idea. A subculture with a redirect anchoring to related material that doesn't say so should not be inferred to be a genre. Being associated with music does not make it a genre. I encourage you to self-revert your additions from that AltPress listicle. mftp dan oops 20:24, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

I respect your opinion. I just think the "scene music" thing its interesting. The Alternative Press articles are stating that "scene music" is in fact a genre that's rooted in hardcore/punk/emo/etc. Whether I agree with that assessment or not is irrelevant to the article, I'm just summarizing what the published source said. It's not me inferring that these bands are "scene music", I'm simply just summarizing that Alternative Press has categorized them as such. I'm definitely going to be looking for more publications besides just Alternative Press, as well. Many of these "scene" bands sound very different than the other bands commonly cited as emo/screamo/metalcore/post-hardcore/etc so I was thinking that maybe the redirect to the "Music" section on the scene subculture article would provide more context for readers who are unfamiliar with these musical styles and countercultures. Its a work in progress. Sorry for not using edit summaries. Lofi Gurl (talk) 20:39, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
My apologies. My complaint was made because I saw your additions to other pages while my browser tab for the redirect for scene music looked like this. It had been open a couple hours (multitasking at work) and at the time it wasn't painted in a way that it actually was a genre of music with reliable sources. Long story short, as a result, I thought it was kind of irresponsible and/or disingenuous to label musical works as scene music when that's how the subculture's page was presented. Alas, by the time I reached out to you, it had changed. Basically, you put the cart before the horse, but it seems like you're trying to fix that issue.
I have mixed feelings about portraying it that way; it's possible that giving the floor to AltPress like that is not due weight. Here's why: if the general consensus is that it actually constitutes a genre of music, wouldn't Wikipedia-in 2026-have already come to that consensus by now? I'm not saying we can't come to that consensus, but how likely is it with all the tools at our disposal that a change of that magnitude would be reflected in a substantial amount of reliable sources beyond just AltPress? I'm certain the article contains information that is genuinely useful and agree AltPress is a reliable publication. I won't dispute that. But when we're potentially rewriting the rules for what's a genre and what isn't, shouldn't there be more people agreeing on that? mftp dan oops 21:16, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
Right, I get everything you're saying. No worries, sorry for the misunderstanding. Perhaps there is a discussion to be had here regarding WP:DUE on the scene stuff. It's what usually gets me in trouble on here. That said, I think I have three different publications now attempting to designate it as some sort of subgenre. I want to see how it goes. And I wasn't trying to change the rules regarding what the project accepts as a legitimate genre of music, I was just trying to create encyclopedic content with the sources I have on hand, that were within the scope of the site's policies (that I am familiar with and aware of). Lofi Gurl (talk) 21:33, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
No worries, I like that you're open to discourse on it. The "changing the rules" I was talking about are not formally written, to be perfectly clear, it was metaphorical. Invisible Oranges and Loudwire help a lot - though I don't actually see the IO source. In hindsight, it probably would have been better to work on this page first, and let albums follow. It's kind of surprising that this is all coming now as opposed to say, five years ago. mftp dan oops 21:52, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know about not being able to see the Invisible Oranges article. I fixed the error. Yeah, you're probably right about fleshing out the "Music" section on the scene subculture article first. Lofi Gurl (talk) 22:00, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

Hey, co-opting this header to thank you for some of these edits to the music section of scene, I feel like I left that section kind of half completed ages ago, because I attempted to work the exessive citations into subheaders on the particular subgenres associated with scene, but stopped after just neon-pop-punk and crunkcore. Also, while you're looking into this topic, have you thought about looking into Risecore. There seems to be a lot of overlap there (perhaps scenecore and Risecore could be considered syonymous), and that article is in an unfortunate state. Issan Sumisu (talk) 16:44, 31 January 2026 (UTC)

Yeah, perhaps a merge of these topics could be in order. We'll cross that bridge after I go through all the sources. Happy to be working on this topic and improving the scene subculture article. Lofi Gurl (talk) 16:54, 31 January 2026 (UTC)

If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:11, 9 February 2026 (UTC)

Is this a joke? All of that information is sourced in the article's body. I've been told that lead sections are to be a summary of the article's body. And everything I added to the lead was sourced in the body. Lofi Gurl (talk) 14:18, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
With this edit at Legion (Deicide album) you wrote:
"The band stopped playing many of the album's songs during live performances, but drummer Steve Asheim would ultimately blame the band's inability to play the songs on former guitarists Eric and Brian Hoffman."
Perhaps I missed it, but where is that sourced in the article? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:56, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for the reply. It's sourced in the "Live performances" section, with that YouTube interview with Hells Headbangers.
At what part of the 33 minute interview? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:41, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
I will try to remember to remeatch the interview after my shift and get back to you promptly. Lofi Gurl (talk) 16:04, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
I want to fix the sourcing in the article, and don't have 30 minutes to watch the whole video. Magnolia677 (talk) 17:42, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
Respectfully, you did not answer my question. I will fix the sourcing myself, just please let me know how you'd like me to do it. Lofi Gurl (talk) 18:19, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
I don't know anything about "timestamps". Just tell me the time on the video where your edit is supported. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:51, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
I just realized the uploaded of the video timestamped the video itself. Made it super easy. They start talking about Legion at the 21:43 mark. Lofi Gurl (talk) 19:14, 9 February 2026 (UTC)

Latest incorrigible distortion of the Cartographical Framework of the Sikh Empire and its exaggeration

@Lofi Gurl Hey so listen dude, actually as a newcomer here. I’ve just discovered a vicious distortion regarding the actual territorial boundaries of the former Sikh Empire—boundaries on which virtually all considered historians are in agreement. Yet even though the logistical and scholarly consensus was clearly not in his favour (→ See here: ), this miscellaneous user went ahead and changed the page epigraphically, manually obscuring any highly anticipated counteraction on this encyclopedic platform. Merely claiming large parts of history does not alter reality. This needs to be intervened in before it becomes too late to address these shortcomings. That’s it. 😃Notwhatweget (talk)

Basket Case

For some reason, you removed the template Avril Lavigne from Basket Case, even though the single was in the template as a promotional single. ~2026-30137-97 (talk) 14:28, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

Avril's cover has nothing but a brief mention in the "In popular culture" section, so there's no need for a whole entire additional template at the foot of the page. Maybe if you brought enough sources and were able to expand the page to give Avril's cover a proper Wikipedia entry and redirect that link in the Avril template to the appropriate section in the page, it would make more sense to me to include the Avril template in the Basket Case article, if it really is a "promotional single" and is that important. Otherwise it seems unneccesary. Lofi Gurl (talk) 16:19, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
