This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Aviation. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Aviation|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Aviation. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

WP:BIO1E. Does not appear to be notable outside of the Air Transat Flight 236 context; relevant content can be merged there. 162 etc. (talk) 05:30, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- Weak keep: he has an airmanship trophy named after him and has received significant awards from the National Assembly of Quebec as well as a Superior Airmanship Award from ALPA, though admittedly all of these were in the context of AT236. He also set up a foundation for addiction treatment though I'm not sure how much that contributes to his personal notability. Rosbif73 (talk) 08:08, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

- Keep. I found two solid analytical articles (Business Today Egypt, 2006; Jeune Afrique, 2007) that cover the airline's launch and strategy in depth. That should be enough for notability. Shiningr3ds (talk) 20:30, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
- Delete - Verification of existence is not notability. I cannot find anything that meets WP:CORPDEPTH. Possibly merge what little information there is into one of the two partner airlines who launched it back in 2006. --CNMall41 (talk) 22:45, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

- Redirect-to Swift Engineering as an ATD where its mentioned, the current sources seem to focus more on the company than this product, which is the subject of this article. Additional searches is not helping its notability either.Lorraine Crane (talk) 00:25, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

I couldn't find any WP:SIGCOV about the company, only some articles on blogs. The CAP-4 Paulistinha manufactured by them seems to be more notable than the company itself. Svartner (talk) 15:30, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

- Comment – The sources above are merely passing mentions. The first mention of the Tereza di Marzo Hangar, which was located near the site, the second one only shows the company's founding date in 1931. The third one is a bit more detailed, but it focuses on the EAY-201 aircraft and not the manufacturer. I don't see how that's sufficient for estabilish notability.
