Dear wiki friends, if anyone is wondering why I've been a bit quiet it's because 9 days ago I was rushed to the local ED with a subarachnoid hæmorrhage (SAH). But unlike all the poor folks who have had to deal with the complications and poor outcomes from aneurysms described in that article, mine was a perimesencephalic SAH, which originates in a vein which quickly self-heal in most cases and can now be reliably identified if the CT is done within 6 hours. This was the most terrifying thing in my life, I am unbelievably lucky and so thankful. I'm getting better every day, and can now function normally for short bursts. But that article terrified everyone I knew who read it, and there is no mention of perimesencephalic hæmorrhage anywhere. They make up about 10% of cases, have different risk factors, present otherwise identically, are conclusively identified by CT and MRI angiogram, but they have generally much better prognosis, and treatment is as for other SAH assuming successful treatment of the aneurysm.^[1] When I'm a bit better, I'd like to fix it. My first GA elevated nomination! Very much appreciate your review and feedback, and for taking over for the other reviewer who was unable to complete the review. I was wondering if WP:Good articles/Social sciences and society would be a more appropriate category than WP:Good articles/Natural sciences though, considering the subject is an epidemiologist and a politician, both of which seem to fall into the social sciences and society tag. There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.

By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.

@JacobTheRox I'm in hospital at the moment on my phone, so I can't add a comment to the general discussion at the end for some reason, but just to say I appreciate your efforts in compiling the RfC. I am fine with the unusually large list of 35+ Qs in one place, it's less fragmented and I can read through them all, and I support and understand your reasons for doing so. When I have a laptop I will add a comment to that effect. I have recently copped a bit of push back on my GA assist-review of Abdul El-Sayed, where it seems I overlooked and rushed some things in the name of expediency and while distracted at Wikimania Paris, so this review is good timing for me to take stock.
