Speedy deletion nomination of File:5079571 web1 ptr-BucsNats09-041522.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:5079571 web1 ptr-BucsNats09-041522.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 12:46, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Yerry De Los Santos.jpeg

A tag has been placed on File:Yerry De Los Santos.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Orphaned non-free image File:Biloxi Shuckers logo.webp

Thanks for uploading File:Biloxi Shuckers logo.webp. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:07, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Muboshgu. Your recent edit to the page Sonny Gray appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:52, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

York Region Athletic Association moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to York Region Athletic Association. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Garsh (talk) 04:11, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
Hello TBJ10RH! Your additions to Draft:York Region Athletic Association have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 12:22, 14 September 2024 (UTC)

Copying to new articles or lists
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Columbus Clippers into List of Columbus Clippers seasons. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. NatureBoyMD (talk) 02:45, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- May I ask what was the attributed content so I can make sure to not make this same mistake moving forward?
- Sincerely,
- Dan TBJ10RH (talk) 02:49, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I actually misread that. I will be sure to add an edit summary next time I do this!
- Sincerely,
- Dan TBJ10RH (talk) 03:07, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. :) As an aside, I'd recommend slowing down and being more careful with your writing and formatting. I made a number of changes to List of Columbus Clippers seasons correcting factual errors, incorrect baseball terminology, and MOS issues. Examples: IL teams are not semi-professional. Baseball teams have managers. The best/worst season should be the highest/lowest winning percentage. Lists don't need the same categories and nav boxes that team articles need. I know that's a lot to dump on you, but it's needed. I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have. NatureBoyMD (talk) 03:17, 8 January 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Kinston Indians.svg

A tag has been placed on File:Kinston Indians.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - My only argument is that I did source chriscreamer's link on where I got the image unless they are not a source to count.
- - Dan TBJ10RH (talk) 02:31, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- Uploading an image involves more than finding an image on the Internet and saying where it was found. See Wikipedia:Image use policy. NatureBoyMD (talk) 02:44, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- I see you have been previously warned about Wikipedia's copyright policy. You cannot upload copyrighted images and then just slap a Creative Commons license on it. Only the copyright holder can license their copyrighted image. If you don't understand how to license images and use them on Wikipedia, you can ask for help at WP:Media copyright questions. What you can't do it to continue uploading copyrighted images with fake licenses. That will lead to you being blocked. -- Whpq (talk) 04:10, 14 January 2025 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Shelby's

The article Shelby's has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unsourced article
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - Hi, this is the author of the page, Shelby's. I was wondering of instead deleting it, you could put it as a draft because I accidentally removed the draft source before publishing it thinking I had them all in a draft. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Content categories in user space
Per WP:CAT#DRAFT, content categories should not be present in user space (i.e. user sandboxes). I wrapped those in yours using Template:Draft categories. NatureBoyMD (talk) 13:16, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
SWB
You may already have it, but SWB's 2025 Media Guide should be of use to you in your work. (See page 138 for all-time Opening Day results--though they don't list the starting pitcher or fewer/extra innings). Also, before you do too much work on team season articles, know that those aren't considered to meet notability requirements... and have been deleted in the past. Feel free to reach out if you need any help. NatureBoyMD (talk) 18:01, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for all of your hardworking help Nature. You've really made me so happy whenever I write these articles! TBJ10RH (talk) 18:04, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- FYI, some of the Baseball-Reference.com references on the SWB seasons page (those in the ref column) have postseason results. You should be okay removing the Stats Crew references for those seasons and explaining that the ref in the ref column supports the postseason result. You'll have to check to see if the results are present, bacause they don't all have them. NatureBoyMD (talk) 17:49, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the heads-up. I just realized that. I am currently removing the Stats Crew pages right now. TBJ10RH (talk) 18:08, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- Also, I've decided to go along with MiLB & Baseball-Reference by counting the 2021 Triple-A Final Stretch games ("postseason games") as part of the regular season. You can see how I handled it with Nashville in this edit. Currently, the SWB seasons total is off because the Final Stretch games are being counted twice (regular and post season). DYK for Juan Soto trade
On 13 April 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Juan Soto trade, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Juan Soto, before his blockbuster trade, rejected a 15-year, $440 million contract extension, which would have been the largest deal in Major League Baseball history at the time? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Juan Soto trade (2022). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Juan Soto trade), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Rochester Red Wings no-hitters
In lieu of doing the Peer Review myself (because it may be more beneficial to have a fresh set of eyes give you some feedback), here are some things I'd do:
- Have a look at List of Nashville Sounds no-hitters to see not just what I'd do, but what I did. (I'm sure you already have. BTW, I only took it through Peer Review because there weren't enough items in the list for it to achieve featured status (10 minimum).)
- Reduce the lede to the bare minimum... just a summary overview/totals
- Add a history section that walks through each no-hitter and gives the important details of each (who, when, where) and anything else signifigant (one baserunner shy of perfection, runs allowed despite no hits, etc)
- Check the grammar of the exisiting prose. Then check it again and again. Currently, I see a sentence beginning with a lowercase letter and lots of subject-verb agreement problems (ex "Seven was pitched" > "Seven were pitched")
- Have a look at MOS:NUMERAL... Typically, numbers greater than nine should be in numerals (10, 11, 12...) and less than 10 should be spelled out, but there are exceptions.
- Add some color to the template header, like in the other lists you've worked on. I'd try black text, white background, red top border, black bottom border (or maybe yellow bottom? I might like yellow better.)
- Add more info to table. I'd personally add number of baserunners, catcher, and notes (first whatever...)
- You've got numbers beside Duke Markell and Dave Vineyard to indicate multiple IL no-hitters, but those indicators aren't needed here.
- I'd want to know for sure if the August 11, 1914, game was ever continued instead of leaving it unknown.
- As possible, I'd try to use only box scores (from newspapers or milb.com) as the reference in the table and articles for the prose.
- You'll need a reference that their 20 no-nos is an MiLB record.
- As a general note, be careful when copy and pasting, you often leave another team's name instead of changing it. Also, don't feel like you have to use the exact same prose and just change the team name, date, score, etc.

Non-attributed translations
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from de:VfL 08 Vichttal to VfL 08 Vichttal. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Dclemens1971 (talk) 18:38, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Blues Stadium (disambiguation)

The article Blues Stadium (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Disambiguation page with one listing. WP:ONEOTHER suggests entry can be handled with a hatnote.
Welcome to the 2026 WikiCup!
Happy New Year and Happy New WikiCup! The 2026 competition has just begun and all article creators, expanders, improvers and reviewers are welcome to take part. Even if you are a novice editor, we hope the WikiCup will give you a chance to improve your editing skills as you go. If you have already signed up, your submissions page can be found here. If you have not yet signed up, you can add your name here, and a bot will set up your submissions page within one day, ready for you to take part. Any questions on the scoring, rules or anything else should be directed to one of the judges, or posted to the WikiCup talk page.
For the 2026 WikiCup, the highest-ranking contestants will receive tournament points at the end of each round, and final rankings are decided by the number of tournament points each contestant has. This is the same scoring system that we had last year. If you're busy and can't sign up in January, don't worry: Signups are open throughout the year. To make things fairer for latecomers, the lowest-scoring contestants are no longer eliminated at the end of each round.
The first round will end on 26 February. The judges for the WikiCup this year are: Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs · email), Epicgenius (talk · contribs · email), Frostly (talk · contribs · email), Guerillero (talk · contribs · email) and Lee Vilenski (talk · contribs · email). WikiCup 2026 March newsletter
The first round of the 2026 WikiCup ended on 26 February. As some of you may have noticed, good article nomination reviews now receive 10 points, an increase from 5 points in the previous year, as per a consensus at WT:CUP. This point increase has been retroactively applied to all good article reviews for which competitors have claimed points in this round. Peer reviews, which continue to be worth 5 points, are now listed in the same section as featured article candidate reviews, rather than with good article reviews. Everyone who competed in round 1 will advance to round 2 unless they have withdrawn or been banned. No other changes to the round-point system have been made for this year.
Round 1 was competitive. Three contestants scored more than 1,000 round points, and the top 16 contestants all scored more than 300 round points. The following competitors scored more than 800 round points:
Bgsu98 (submissions) with 1,467 round points, largely gained from 1 featured article, 5 featured lists, 15 good articles, and 42 FAC and GAN reviews;
Olliefant (submissions) with 1,246 round points, largely from 4 featured lists, 9 good articles, 2 featured topic articles, 4 did you know articles, and 75 FAC and GAN reviews;
Generalissima (submissions) with 1,095 round points, largely from 3 featured articles, 6 good articles, and 5 did you know articles;
MCE89 (submissions) with 848 round points, largely from 1 featured article, 8 good articles, 1 did you know article, and 32 FAC and GAN reviews; and
Rollinginhisgrave (submissions) with 838 round points, largely from 1 featured article, 8 good articles, 1 did you know article, and 14 FAC, GAN, and peer reviews.
The full scores for round 1 can be seen here. During this round, contestants have claimed 7 featured articles, 16 featured lists, 2 featured-topic articles, 168 good articles, 13 good-topic articles and more than 50 Did You Know articles. In addition, competitors have worked on 14 In the News articles, and they have conducted nearly 700 reviews. The tournament points table will be updated within the next few days.
Remember that any content promoted after 26 February but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, feel free to review one of the nominations listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. FAC
I am sorry that 27th Vanier Cup was archived as unsuccessful at FAC. I recommend reviewing articles at WP:FAC while preparing for another nomination: reviewing articles helps nominators learn the FA criteria, clears the backlog so that your article is more likely to get picked for reviews, and builds goodwill amongst FAC reviewers. Feel free to ping me or post on WT:FAC if you have any questions. Z1720 (talk) 17:30, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
