Your submission at Articles for creation: Manan Bhardwaj (July 5)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Maliner were:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Manush (film) (July 12)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Robert McClenon was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of films). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This draft or article is about an unreleased film. The film notability guideline identifies three stages in the production cycle for films:
  • 1. Planned films that have not begun production (principal photography or animation). These planned films do not satisfy film notability.
  • 2. Films that are confirmed by reliable sources to have begun production, but have not been released. These films are only notable if production itself satisfies general notability in terms of significant coverage. Mere mention of the start of production does not satisfy notability.
  • 3. Films that have been released, whose notability is determined by reception and reviews, or a major notable award for excellence in some aspect of filmmaking.
This film page must be evaluated based on general notability of production.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Box Office Collection

Heyy@BhikhariInformer your recent edit at Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is reverted by someone. Assuming as your edit as Good faith, I want to tell you that we at ICTF don't consider production house figure or any primary source that cites Production house Figures as reliable as they are highly manipulated and especially south one which are infamous for that, a recent example we have of Kabzaa. We uses Independent box office trackers mainly like Bollywood Hungama , Box Office India, or Pinkvilla. I hope you understood. Thanks Tousif ❯❯❯ Talk 13:46, 24 December 2023 (UTC)

Although not considered reliable according to Wikipedia, it provides almost accurate box office numbers for many Bengali films and is considered as a source of box office collection in Bengali industry. Thanks for informing me that the concept of contentious topics. I didn't knew about them earlier.
BhikhariInformer (talk) 12:32, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. — Newslinger talk 09:57, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

Information icon You have recently made edits related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. This is a standard message to inform you that articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics.  Newslinger talk 09:57, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

@Newslinger:
Over the last few months, I have edited a number of articles regarding living or deceased people: mostly actors, actresses, film makers, music composers and singers. So, could you tell me the name of the particular biographical articles, editing for which caused my to receive this message.
Becoz I would like to know which type of edits were wrong in the biographical articles. Then I would refrain myself in the future from such edits.
Thanks BhikhariInformer (talk) 15:04, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
Hi BhikhariInformer, the above messages are standard notices issued to editors who demonstrate interest in contentious topics. Many editors participating in contentious topics receive a notice for each topic area. As stated in the notice text, receiving these types of messages "does not imply that there are any issues with your editing". I included the notice about the "living or recently deceased people" contentious topic only because you have been editing biographies of living people, as you mention.
These contentious topic notices are not to be confused with warnings such as the one I posted in #May 2024; warnings are issued in response to edits that fall short of meeting a policy or guideline in some way. Per the verifiability policy, "All material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists, and captions, must be verifiable. All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the material." Additionally, "A source 'directly supports' a given piece of material if the information is present explicitly in the source so that using this source to support the material is not a violation of Wikipedia:No original research."
Within contentious topics, articles tend to be scrutinized more closely to ensure that they are compliant with policies and guidelines, including the verifiability policy. Please make sure your edits are adequately supported by cited reliable sources before submitting them, especially when the article subject is controversial. Thanks. — Newslinger talk 21:43, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
Okay. I got it.
Thanks

Malayalam films 2024

It was a practice agreed and followed by editors to keep either 5 films or not to have BO section at all for Malayalam films list pages, as keeping more films led to more fights and reverts and we did not want Wiki to become a fanfight page like FB. Better discuss first and then revert than the other way around.
Anish Viswa 03:50, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

Okay. Now I get the point. Would keep in mind while editing Malayalam film lists.

Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You edits to Kalki 2898 AD were unconstructive. Speedy deletion nomination of Bohurupi (2024)

Hello BhikhariInformer,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bohurupi (2024) for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Bohurupi (2024) to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Replaceable non-free use File:Subhasree Ganguly picture.jpeg

Thanks for uploading File:Subhasree Ganguly picture.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 25 October 2024 (UTC)

Khadaan (marketing section)

Sir, according to me, the marketing strategy of the film should be described with more brief infos. The production team is promoting the film with massively. They are producing various T-shirts, which should be included in the article. I request you to add those infos, with a proper research. Thus, I will edit the production section, which is till incomplete.

Thank you. Made in Kolkata (talk) 13:09, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

I agree. Those infos should be included. If you can find references on those, then you can simply add them. I will also try to see for references, so that they can be added.
And one thing, I noticed you have added almost 10 citations after the first song. So many references just for a single song is really unnecessary. All of them provide almost same info. Besides, it will also probably spoil the visual representation of the article for neutral readers. Hence, I would suggest you to remove at least half of them. 3-4 citations for a song will be good enough.
Thanks BhikhariInformer (talk) 13:48, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
Sir, those references can be there. If you visit Jawan, Pushpa, KGF or any other article, there are also a number of citations for a single information.
Can't the marketing section be made lengthy? Yesterday the team promoted the film with various strategies. Made in Kolkata (talk) 04:53, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
I have shredded off 3-4 references after the first song. Because it was looking clumsy as per the WP:CONSECUTIVECITE. Now it's okay.
As of the marketing section, I have added the merchandise info since you asked. Do add the references on that topic if you find them. BhikhariInformer (talk) 05:03, 23 November 2024 (UTC)

Shontaan

Sir, please develop the article Shontaan by adding more references. If there is any faults there, it should be corrected by you.

Thank you. Made in Kolkata (talk) 12:15, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

@Made in Kolkata The article you have created consists of a good number of references after the lines. You have nicely created the article, specially a well designed production section. Good job with that.
And about the references, I will suggest that you add them (You will have a better idea about the references since you created the article in a detailed manner) from reliable sources to the article, where there are no references present. If 2-3 references already present after a line, then no need to add any more.
Thanks BhikhariInformer (talk) 12:57, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
Thank you sir for your compliment. I am unable to add the poster as the pic is not in my device. So if you do it, I shall be obliged.
Sir, I want your suggetion for something. You may know that its Superstar Jeet's birthday tomorrow. So, if he make any announcement of his upcoming projects, can I begin the drafts of those early? Made in Kolkata (talk) 13:03, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
@Made in Kolkata As of the poster of Shontaan, I will add it.
Coming to the drafts, as per WP:DRAFT and WP:NFF, you can begin your drafts on those articles. But, you may move those articles to mainspace only when they are close to their release dates and a significant amount of coverage and information is present from reliable sources. And one thing, if you don't edit the draft for 6 months, it will be deleted.
Thanks BhikhariInformer (talk) 13:32, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Maa Tara.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Maa Tara.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:30, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Maa Tara.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Maa Tara.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation of https://www.instagram.com/khabarodishanews/p/DDLiyMPzT_s/?img_index=1 and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Ирука13 08:14, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

Moving drafts to main space

@Timtrent Thank you sir for the advice. I would definitely check the end product with more precision, if I create any future articles.
But umm... could you please just like clarify once again what was my mistake. I mean do I need to
  • fix my grammatical expressions ?
or
  • does the article not fit the encyclopedic tone of writing ?
or
  • should I have submitted the article for review before moving it to mainspace ?
or
  • is there any issue regarding the notability of the article ?
It would be helpful if you could point out my errors. I would be able to work on them.

@Bongan First of all, please calm down sir... There has been no huge issue that you send me a level 4 warning on the very first notice, for adding few information from 2-3 sources, whose notability is unknown to me.
The article was a stub. So I tried to expand it. Since reliable sources were not available, I thought of adding them and expanding the article. And... after going through the referencing policy, I have understood that those references shouldn't have been added.
And as a fact, since you use Twinkle, you could have just reverted the page to the last version before my edits and left a message on my talk page. Anyways, just a suggestion..... You can now rollback my edits on that page and remove the maintenance tags.
And one thing....just be a little cool sir before you send level 4 warnings. 😊😊

Discussion on Raghu Dakat

Sir, aren't the references you've added in the draft, should be archived? Tiger Shankar (talk) 20:05, 26 August 2025 (UTC)

It's always better if references are archived. The WP:IABOT runs continuously across all articles and adds archived versions to fix link rots. But, to perform it manually, one can run the WP:IABOT on individual pages or else use web archiving cites like the Wayback Machine. I don't use the bot, and individually archiving all the references is time consuming and beyond my patience. So, if you can archive them, please do so. For details, see Help:Archiving a source.

Hoichoi

What is your connection to this topic? You say that you don't know anyone at Hoichoi but that is not a direct answer. Were you paid or do have an employment connection in any form with Hoichoi? Your editing gives the impression that you do. CNMall41 (talk) 18:19, 7 September 2025 (UTC)

I am not connected to the subject in any manner, nor do I have any employment. (I am just a first year guy in college). It's just that I was very enthusiastic about writing a "good, long" article when I saw there are plenty of sources available. While doing that, I failed to recognize that many of the sources were promotional. If my editing on Hoichoi parts an impression of COI and violates NPOV, it was unknown and unwanted on my behalf. (To be honest, till date, I am not very well handed at differentiating promotional articles from neutral ones; but yes.....I am working on it).
.
Since yesterday, I have curtailed from Hoichoi, things which I understood as promotional. I would surely try to clean up the unwanted issue that I have unknowingly created. (Because, after all, a good track record would be really necessary, since I aspire to have the NPR and ROLLBACK rights in future).

Requesting some article expansion & c/e help

Hi,

Greetings @BhikhariInformer, I am User:Bookku. I initiate and support update in information and knowledge gap areas on WP wherever whenever possible. Time to time, also invite other users in draft/ article expansion work for diversity in inputs.

Just fyi: How I came to user name? My general way is mentioned on my user page. In this specific instance: From India deletion discussion list page.

Hello @BhikhariInformer Hope you are doing fine. I want to ask you one thing. Yesterday you marked user (Gujjar.rudraa) as the creator of Vijay Nahar article on AfD. But as i can see the creator of that page is @Tapanvnahar (who was blocked). TheSlumPanda (talk) 08:43, 12 October 2025 (UTC)

Discussion on Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey

@BhikhariInformer sir, Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey needs to be more prominent, as there are so many informations missing in it. Please add those informations, when it was previously announced and stalled, principal photography etc. Besides, the film needs a separate article on the soundtrack.

As I am working on Projapati 2 and also beginning on its soundtrack, I am requesting you to look into the matter.

Thank you🙏 Tiger Shankar (talk) 08:26, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Alright.....I will expand Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey. And as of the soundtrack, it probably doesn't have enough sources to justify a separate article. Let it remain as a sub-section under the article for now. If it gains significant coverage post the film's release, the soundtrack can be split into a separate article at that time. And for your work on Projapati 2, cheers mate! Thumbs up icon BhikhariInformer (talk) 16:02, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
Ok sir.
For the soundtrack article, you may found sources about Kabir Suman's addition to the film, Arijit Singh's "Khawne Gorachand..." is already a chartbuster, there must be sources about these. Tiger Shankar (talk) 05:06, 23 December 2025 (UTC)

Discussions on Projapati 2 box office

@BhikhariInformer, sir I would be greatly obliged if you take down the box office as per the WBBO reports [1] in the article Projapati 2. Tiger Shankar (talk) 06:26, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

I’m a bit confused, so I wanted to clarify a few things first:
1. The WBBO source you sent me, mentions the gross box office to be 5 crore.
2. But in your latest edit to the article, you changed the box office to 10.44 crore. That's a contradiction.
So, can you please explain why this difference and also tell what do you expect me to do. I would be happy to look again. BhikhariInformer (talk) 09:56, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
However the figure was 5.48 crore previously, it has been changed. Now you look into the matter Tiger Shankar (talk) 19:04, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

Hello, thank you!! for finding those sources for the tarapith rathyatra page. Also just curious if you have any tips for searching for non-english sources, as most of the sources you had linked hadn't come up for me when I had looked. EM (talk) 15:04, 17 January 2026 (UTC)

For non-English sources, I usually translate the keywords with a translator and then, search in the local script. Like তারাপীঠ রথযাত্রা for Tarapith Rathyatra.

Schools without references

Hi BhikhariInformer! I see you're still weeding through Namibian schools. From my perspective, an article like Oshali West Combined School could just be prodded, there is really nothing except an entry in a thousand-long government list. --Pgallert (talk) 07:49, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestion! Actually, I have very low confidence levels in myself and have poor decision making abilities. So, while nominating, I usually avoid PROD since I always have an irrational fear that "I might be deleting something notable....so let's take it to AFD and let the community decide." But I will try to use PROD for clearly non-notable articles like this one, if I encounter any in the future. ^_^ BhikhariInformer (talk) 10:14, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

@BhikhariInformer sir please move this Draft:Keu Bole Biplabi Keu Bole Dakat Tiger Shankar (talk) 07:33, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

I would prefer not to move it unilaterally to mainspace since it's already been draftified once via AFD. Doing so might result in draftification again or at worst, might be SALTED. So, I would suggest....you can submit the draft if you think it meets WP:NFILM now. Thanks! BhikhariInformer (talk) 10:02, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
Ok sir. Another problematic edit I would suggest you to look into, that's Prosenjit Chatterjee filmography. In that article, the table is not published properly, the specific boxes having film's name, are not colourized align separately.

@Tiger Shankar:, Please see WP:CANVASS. Going to an editor over another because you feel they will help WP:BLUDGEON your cause is not acceptable. Clean up is always good but this should not be moved prior to reviews, which will likely come after release. Given the canvassing, bludgeoning, and creating under an alternative name to avoid detection, I would suggest you step away as your editing gives the strong impression of having a WP:COI. --CNMall41 (talk) 20:07, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Basu Bati

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Basu Bati requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.

S Philbrick(Talk) 17:49, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi! I saw your note on the talk-page of this draft, and just wanted to say that your suggestion of changing the way you work is probably a good one. I don't know exactly how you go about writing a page like that, but there were copyright violations from at least three other non-free sources in addition to the one identified by Sphilbrick. Once you've introduced non-free material into a page, no amount of copy-editing is going to resolve the problem – all you're doing is creating a derivative work; the infringing content needs to be completely removed from the page – or, better still, never added to it in the first place! Interesting topic, by the way. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 12:11, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing out my mistakes and informing me about WP:DERIVATIVE, which I was unaware about. So, I guess I'll probably start a new draft, with my new routeway of article creation. Thanks! BhikhariInformer (talk) 14:37, 2 April 2026 (UTC)

Verifiability of filmography or television section in BLPs of Indian Bengali actors or actresses

Hello! I wanted to reach out to you regarding an issue I’ve been thinking about lately, specifically the verifiability of filmographies and television sections within the Biographies of Living Persons (BLPs) for Indian Bengali actors and actresses.

As you know, in the filmography sections, it’s common to list various films and roles, but often it’s difficult, and mostly impossible, to provide reliable sources for every cast member, since every cast member in a particular daily soap or film, isn't covered by the news media. Since Wikipedia guidelines dictate that unsourced content can be challenged and removed, I am wondering if this might lead to many filmographies, particularly for Bengali actors and films, being heavily stripped down, potentially leaving only a few cast members with verifiable references.

The guidelines themselves are undoubtedly important in maintaining the credibility and neutrality of Wikipedia, but I still wonder if these rules are entirely applicable to all cultural contexts, particularly to Indian and Bengali cinema. In Western media, where news outlets and reliable sources frequently cover every detail of a film’s production and cast, sourcing information is often relatively straightforward. However, in the case of Bengali cinema, much of the content is not as widely covered by mainstream media, especially in comparison to their Western counterparts.

In India, and specifically in Bengali cinema, many films and performances are known primarily through word of mouth or mostly from people who have watched the films or shows in real life, and extensive coverage in news outlets is often limited or absent mostly. Applying a strict Western-centric standard of sourcing to content related to Bengali films can (already done so in the past) lead to the removal of valuable, albeit unsourced, information; information that is, true and widely recognized by audiences, even if not fully documented in the media.

Do you feel that the current guidelines are sometimes difficult to apply in such contexts, and that there is a need for greater flexibility, especially when dealing with regional cinema?

And, this concern extends beyond just filmographies; it also applies to the actor’s broader body of work. While we all know these actors have performed in various films, we may not always have concrete references to back up every claim, especially in regional cinema like Bengali films. The issue here is that these actors and their works are often known only to audiences who have seen the films, but without proper sourcing, this becomes problematic from a Wikipedia standpoint.

I’m interested in your perspective on this issue. Do you think that the current standards might lead to the removal of large chunks of content in such articles, or is there a more nuanced approach I might be missing? Considering your extensive contributions to the Wikipedia community, especially around Bengali films and web series, I thought you would be the ideal person to ask for clarification on this matter. Thanks for bringing this up — it’s actually a very real issue that I too often face, while trying to improve Bengali film and television actors' BLPs. I completely agree to your point — in many cases it’s genuinely difficult, and often impossible, to find a RS for every single role. A lot of this information is widely known to viewers but isn’t properly documented online.
It's really unfortunate that Wikipedia’s core policies like WP:V and WP:BLP are applied uniformly, regardless of region. That results in only widening the WP:SYSTEMICBIAS. There should probably have been a less strict guideline for under-documented industries, which are getting seriously affected due to the sourcing limitations. But, personally, I don't think we will have any such special guidelines at least in the near future, because, I am pretty sure that most editors would not support this idea, if a discussion ever takes place regarding this.
That said, in practice, this can sometimes make filmographies shorter, but that’s essentially the trade-off Wikipedia makes to maintain accuracy and reliability. It’s not ideal, but improving sourcing over time is probably a more sustainable approach than relaxing the guidelines. Thanks! 🙃 BhikhariInformer (talk) 10:34, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
Okay, I understood what you said, but let's say I take the example of this article written by you only, okay. Bishohori (TV series). So basically, even though I have seen the series myself, I can still be blunt and remove the cast section or specifically cast members that have been added without any source and claim that they are not verifiable and that's why they have been removed. Isn't this actually very funny and paradoxical? (Don't worry, am not going to do such a thing obv...just thought of asking so, with an example from one of your article's only). Itcouldbepossible Talk 11:14, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
I get your point. That's an issue indeed. In Bishohori (TV series), I have changed the referencing pattern in the cast — one reference for the whole section. The t2Online reference has the cast names. So that will suffice here.
I've created 30+ Bengali films and web series' pages but haven't watched any of them. For cast info, I have to rely on the puff pieces, reviews and specially, the official trailer descriptions.
TBH, official trailer descriptions are the best source for Bengali films/series to verify the cast but alas, they are PRIMARY. When nothing secondary is available, I would probably use the YouTube official trailer as the source and add "Secondary source needed" tag beside it. At least something is better than nothing. But in the worst scenario, if even the trailer description not supports it, then it stands at risk. If anyone removes it for being unverifiable, there would probably be nothing to do. 🥲 BhikhariInformer (talk) 15:54, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
I would like to know how you write the plot section when you haven't seen the movie or TV show in question, in light of the point you made. When I have to write an article, I often have trouble writing the plot summary, especially when I haven't seen the material. I haven't watched most of the contet, so sometimes this makes me put off writing the article for a while. I'm interested in how you are able to deal with this problem so well. Itcouldbepossible Talk 17:41, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
For films, I usually write a Synopsis of 4-5 lines that I get from the reviews. If there's a detailed Plot present in any of my film articles, it has been written by some other user.
For web series, it depends on my interest whether I'll write a short Synopsis or a detailed Plot. For most cases, I write a Synopsis after going through the reviews. But if I am highly interested in the series, I watch the "Web series explained" sort of videos on YouTube and write a detailed Plot from those. That saves a lot of time, compared to watching the complete series. BhikhariInformer (talk) 02:00, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

Banglar Sera Bhooter Golpo creation

Sir, please create a descriptive article on Banglar Sera Bhooter Golpo seasons. I'm requesting you as you are a pro in writing web-series' articles. ~2026-22785-50 (talk) 14:34, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for reaching out. I checked the available sources for this web series and I am afraid that I won't be able to help you with this. Unfortunately, the web series doesn't meet any of the criterions of our notability guidelines for web series (WP:NTV). So, it doesn't qualify for a standalone article, as of now. Thanks -- BhikhariInformer (talk) 16:24, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
