File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:MarvelsSpiderMan2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vladlen Manilov / 15:19, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:MarvelsWolverine.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:MarvelsWolverine.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:31, 20 November 2021 (UTC)

Non-free content use

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically Draft:Avengers Tower (Marvel Cinematic Universe), may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:29, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

Hi RebelYasha. Non-free content cannot be used in the draft namespace per non-free content use criterion #9 as explained here. so, please stop re-adding File:Avengers Tower in Avengers Age of Ultron.jpg to Draft:Avengers Tower (Marvel Cinematic Universe). The file has already been removed a couple of times and an edit summary was left each time explaining why. If you didn't see those edit summaries or didn't understand them, then that's OK because the way images (particularly non-free images) can be used on Wikipedia can be a bit confusing sometimes. It's OK to make a mistake like this once maybe even twice and many editors do, which is why I'm posting this message here on your user talk page. However, if you continue to re-add not free content to this draft, an administrator is likely going to step in and take action to prevent you from doing so. If the draft is eventually accepted as an article, then you can re-add the file. Just make sure that it's use in the "article" complies with all ten of the non-free content use criteria listed here. If you've got any questions about this, feel free to ask them below or here and someone will try to answer them. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:40, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

Minor edits

Hi again RebelYasha. It appears that all of your edits (at least all of your most recent edits are being marked as minor edits even in cases when they probably wouldn't typically be considered as such. While this kind of thing is often just a minor (pun intended) problem in and of itself and usually doesn't warrant administrator action, it can sometimes become an issue in combination with other things. I'm not sure whether you're doing this intentionally or whether the software is doing it without your knowledge, but you should make sure to double-check that the "This is a minor edit" box isn't checked before clicking "Publish changes" unless you're absolutely certain (or at least as certain as you can be) that the edit you're making is truly a minor one. If there's any doubt about this, just don't check the box. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:15, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

Sources

Hey! I saw you just created the article Xenoblade Chronicles 3. When finding sources for it, I recommend using WP:VGSE which is a custom search engine that will only show results from reliable sources for the search tterm. Look for sources that are fairly recent so that we aren't sourcing rumors. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 23:47, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

Mask of the Phantasm edit source

Hello RebelYasha,

Just a heads up about your edit over on the Mask of the Phantasm page. I looked at the source you posted, and it was a tweet thread that didn't have a link to the quote source. Don't worry, your contribution is still in tact, as I managed to track down the quote to an article from Premiere France.

In the future, I'd recommend fact-checking your references, as social media posts from unofficial fan pages are not considered a primary source.

To give you some insight into how I found the source, I simply copied the quote into Google & it immediately came up with a Cinemablend article. That article was still a secondary source, however, so I made sure to find the hyperlink that linked to the original source.

Something to keep in mind is even if you track down the quote to an article, you always want to check that it isn't being lifted from elsewhere. And even when you find the primary source, always do a background check to ensure the source is reputable. Websites such as "We've Got The Covered", "Bounding Into Comics" & "Cosmic Book News" tend to have a sketchy record at the best of times, often making up rumours for the sake of attracting clicks. A good way to do this is, again, just to Google the story being reported & seeing how many other news outlets are reporting on it, as well as generally doing a sweep of the website itself to ensure its not festering with clickbait.

From what I saw on the Mask of the Phantasm page, your spelling & grammar are on point, and your writing seems to be clear & concise, getting across the relevant information clearly. In truth, it's only your sourcing skills that require work (and have already improved, judging by this talk page), so just continue to improve in that area, and you'll be golden.

Wikipedia also has a more expansive guide to reliable sources, if you're interested in doing a deep dive: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources JacobJKilner (talk) 04:39, 21 February 2022 (UTC)

hello

can you edit Draft:Bruce Wayne (Arkham series character) please?

Your submission at Articles for creation: Christopher Smith (DC Extended Universe) (February 23)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by ArsenalGhanaPartey was:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The comment the reviewer left was:
The "Fictional character biography" is almost entirely unsourced. Please fill out that section with more reliable, secondary sources.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.
ArsenalGhanaPartey (talk) 17:14, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Hi RebelYasha, I saw the decision on the page and will agree that the "Fictional character biography" section may be a bit too long. You did well finding other sources to fill out the character development and reception segments, but I think ArsenalGhanaPartey's main concern was that the article may have looked like a plot-only summary due to the extensive fictional biography section. One thing to remember is that this is not Fandom, so that amount of detail may be more appropriate for that website, though I believe we can attribute plot content from there under the Creative Commons license as long as it isn't overly detailed to that level. Peacemaker's page at DCEU Wiki can be found here for reference.

I'm going to do some additional tweaking to the article before resubmitting. You're more than welcome to assist! --WuTang94 (talk) 04:57, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:Bruce Wayne (The Batman film series) has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Bruce Wayne (The Batman film series). Thanks! Robert McClenon (talk) 08:32, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
I don't see why this Bruce Wayne can't have his own standalone article considering every major feature film depiction of the character has their own already, and his character arc/characterization has enough deviations from the source material to be considered a seperate entity from the comics character. He's also going to be at the center of an entire standalone shared universe seperate from the DCEU Bruce Wayne and will be expanded upon in future films and the HBO Max series set in that universe. There may only be one film featuring this character currently out, but it's really only the start of a long-term commitment. The development period of this character is in of itself, vastly different from any other Bruce Wayne considering this one originally started out as a completely different entity under Ben Affleck. Just my thoughts. RebelYasha (talk) 21:20, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Bruce Wayne (The Batman film series) (March 10)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Robert McClenon were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The proposed article does not have sufficient content to require an article of its own, but it could be merged into the existing article at Batman. Since anyone can edit Wikipedia, you are welcome to add that information yourself. Thank you.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This draft is a request to spin off an article. Proposals to spin out a topic from an article into another stand-alone article should be discussed at the talk page of the existing article, unless the draft satisfies a special notability guide. If the draft satisfies a special notability guide, please identify the notability criterion with a reliable source.

This does not mean that the draft should be spun off, and it does not mean that the draft should not be spun off. It does mean that discussion should be on the talk page of the existing article, Talk:Batman. (If this draft is resubmitted without discussion on the talk page of the existing article and does not satisfy a special notability guide, it may be Rejected or nominated for deletion.)

Please discuss why a separate article is in order for this particular portrayal of the character.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Untitled section

Pls don't change j jonah jameson last appearance because it was in no way home the article is not for Raimi version only  Preceding unsigned comment added by CR7Selawi (talkcontribs) 01:36, 28 January 2023 (UTC)

The specific infobox at the start of the article is to denote the Raimi version and exclusively has details on that specific version's character details. The MCU version of Jameson has a seperate infobox later in the article for his section. They may be played by the same actor but they're completely different characters RebelYasha (talk) 16:10, 28 January 2023 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:Persona 3 Reload has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Persona 3 Reload. Thanks! Robert McClenon (talk) 19:18, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
I totally get it might be too early, but I think there is enough information at this stage that a Reload article can be separated from just putting it in the main Persona 3 article. The Reload subsection on the Persona 3 article doesn't divulge into many details about the differences and improvements in the remake which I took time to document in the draft ahead of submission so it didn't come off as info that could just be merged into the existing article on the original Persona 3, and there will obviously be more information in the coming months that I can just add onto afterwards if the submission is accepted.
Plus, I did purposely wait to submit the draft for consideration until after the multiplatform confirmation yesterday, so the draft had as much legitimate info and references as possible RebelYasha (talk) 19:51, 14 June 2023 (UTC)

The comment the reviewer left was:
I think it's absolutely way too soon. There's not even enough hard facts about it to get some decent reception going. I suggest condensing as much as possible and merging into Persona 3 for now, the article can certainly exist at a later date.

Orphaned non-free image File:MvCFightingCollection.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:MvCFightingCollection.jpg.

Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:27, 26 June 2024 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:WolverinePS5logo.png

Thanks for uploading File:WolverinePS5logo.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

December 2024

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Draft:Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. This was a premature unilateral move to the mainspace which bypassed the natural WP:AfC process and was not discussed with the editors of these articles when it should have been. Such moves are disruptive if done en masse and are strongly discouraged. Just like the other DCU drafts, this WP:CONTENTFORK is still very much WP:TOOSOON for the mainspace as it duplicates much of the content at DC Universe (franchise) and does not need to exist anytime soon. Please do not make these types of moves again without first discussing it with the established editors working on them. Trailblazer101 (talk) 06:56, 6 December 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! DreamRimmer bot II (talk) 21:29, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

Please stop doing this edit as you did to My Time in Evershine. There is no function or benefit to adding the WP:PIPEd links when the article title and the name shown in the article text are exactly the same. All it does is add unnecessary text to the article, which is not a desired trait when these game lists always grown to very large sizes with modern consoles. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 15:49, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

I see you're still doing it. Is there a reason you're completely ignoring me on this? Its a simple request, and it actually takes you more time to do it your way. Sergecross73 msg me 16:40, 21 March 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Mutant (Marvel Comics) in film (June 13)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by CoconutOctopus was:
This submission reads more like an essay than an encyclopedia article. Submissions should summarise information in secondary, reliable sources and not contain opinions or original research. Please write about the topic from a neutral point of view in an encyclopedic manner.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Currently overly long and detailed, may well be notable but is more of an essay at the moment!
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Halo lead changes

Per the Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Video games and general practice, we don't spend a lot of time detailing ports and rereleases, especially if like Master Chief Collection there is a separate article detailing that info. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs talk 20:05, 21 July 2025 (UTC)

Spider-Man

As someone who reviewed the GAN many moons ago, for Insomniac Peter Parker, could you kindly show me some of (not all) of the sources added to improve independent notability? This isn't an indication that I intend to try to merge or AfD it, I'd just like to know, since any recreated article is liable to being undone. Also, I would suggest requesting a histmerge of this and Spider-Man (Insomniac Games character) (also I think that the old disambig works better, since there are multiple video game incarnations of Peter Parker, like the PS1 one). Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! – Jonesey95 (talk) 17:33, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Sources not verifying content additions

Hello. I'm getting a bit concerned about some of your edits. The sources you add simply do not verify the content you add to Wikipedia. For example, this edit. You asserted that the last game Alpha Dream was credited for was a Mario & Sonic game. But you used this Kotaku source. Not only does this source not say that, but that game isn't even mentioned if your source. At no point does the word "Sonic" even appear in the source even.

I know we all make mistakes, but I'm struggling to understand how you made this mistake. And this isn't the first time, I've recently undone some other edits of yours that simply did not verify the edit. What's going on? Sergecross73 msg me 17:54, 29 November 2025 (UTC)

Alright, if you refuse to discuss, the next time I see this happen, I'm opening up a discussion about it at WP:ANI and we'll discuss with the community there. Sergecross73 msg me 18:18, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
Adding this to the list of poorly sourced additions. The first source about the annoucnement is the only one that even mentions the cancelled game; none of the other sources mention it, nor do any of them mention Judgment, Igarashi's demotion, the restructuring, or any connection they have to the cancellation. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:43, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
Thank you, Cyberlink420, that's very similar to one of the recent examples I found, here, which was a complete verification failure as far as references not even close to verifying the content addition.
RebelYasha, do you really have nothing to say about this? Silence in the face of all these examples will not go over well in ANI. I would normally personally block editors who keep doing this without explanation, but I'm holding off here since they largely seem to keep happening on article I've heavily contributed to. I cannot image a scenario where ANI participants accept this behavior though.
Last chance for explanation and/or committing to stopping doing this. Sergecross73 msg me 17:04, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
