PT Kacebe Murni Transport (doing business under the name MTrans) is a Indonesian bus company founded in Denpasar, Bali, and headquartered in Malang City, East Java. A subsidiary of Bagong since 2022, it initially started its business in 2010 by operating tourist bus; then in 2017, it shifted its business to intercity bus and interprovincial buses. This bus company is known for revolutionizing the regular land transportation business between Java and Bali, with premium buses with luxurious facilities. Its head office and main garage are located in Arjosari, Blimbing, Malang.
PT Kacebe Murni Transport (MTrans) was founded on March 3, 2010, by Rozi Yulianto. Initially, MTrans operated under PT Kuta Cemerlang Bali Jaya (KCBJ Tours) and did not immediately venture into intercity buses as it does today. MTrans initially served luxury tourist buses serving Bali. The company's identity at the time was simple, from its fleet model to its visual identity. Its trade name, "MTrans," is an abbreviation of "Murni Transport." Two years into its operation, MTrans began to reveal a new identity by rebranding its fleet. At this time, the company's operations were still focused on tourist buses, but the need to expand the market began to appear along with the increasing consumer demand and the rapid development of the transportation industry in the Bali, Lombok, and East Java regions.[1][2]
A significant milestone in MTrans' history occurred in 2017 when it decided to enter the intercity and interprovincial bus (AKAP) segment. This move began with the launch of its first route, Denpasar City–Ponorogo Regency, opening new opportunities for the company to expand its operational reach to long-distance inter-island services. This expansion marked a major transformation for MTrans, from a tour bus operator to a company serving regular routes with scheduled departures and arrivals. Since then, MTrans' reputation as a provider of comfortable and professional long-distance bus services has grown, especially on the Java–Bali route, which is the busiest highway in Indonesia.[1]
After successfully entering the inter-city market, MTrans improved the quality of its services by presenting premium buses aimed at long-distance passengers. This bus company then launched several travel classes such as Executive, Sultan, The Royal Sultan, to Ocean Blue, each with differentiated facilities to meet the needs of various passengers. [1] The facilities offered are increasingly complete and competitive, including reclining seats, toilet, television, AC, USB, blankets and pillows, to consumption services. Some fleets are also equipped with a mini pantry and hot water dispensers and beverage facilities so passengers can enjoy long journeys in optimal comfort. [3]
In 2022, MTrans was officially acquired by Bagong. Despite the acquisition, Rozi Yulianto and his employees remain part of the Bagong family. Furthermore, the "MTrans" brand name is fully retained due to its strong image and established user base. Under this new structure, MTrans receives stronger managerial support, infrastructure, and access to capital, enabling the company to undertake operational system improvements and large-scale fleet renewals. [1] In early 2025, Yulianto was finally removed from MTrans' leadership and replaced by Budi Susilo, Bagong's President Director. [citation needed]
Fleet

As a premium AKAP bus operator, MTrans naturally uses premium chassis. MTrans has a Mercedes-Benz bus chassis (OH 1626L),[4] Volvo (B8R and B11R),[5][6] and Hino (RM 280 ABS).[7] On the sidelines of the launch ceremony of 26 MTrans buses on February 26, 2025, PT Transforma Oto Prima (TOP), the official Mercedes-Benz dealer, stated that the Mercedes-Benz OH 1626L chassis had passed the Euro 4 emission test and was equipped with anti-lock braking system (ABS), AdBlue 60 L, and air suspension so that it produces clean exhaust gases and increases comfort.[4] Meanwhile, from Volvo ordered since 2022, the chassis meets the Euro 5 emission test.[5]
Regarding bus bodywork, Karoseri Tentrem is one of its customers. Five months after launching the 26 new buses, it was revealed that the buses with Mercedes-Benz chassis use Avante H8 Grand Captain bodies and 6 Avante H7 Grand Priority units, two bus models widely known for their cabin comfort, aerodynamic design, and excellent construction quality. One of the interesting features of this purchase is the inclusion of a "tiger cage", which is a special room for the crew and driver so they can rest safely and comfortably during long trips. This aggressive step confirms MTrans' position as a modern bus operator that is serious about maintaining travel quality, safety, and operational effectiveness.[8][9] MTrans also has double-decker buses, with Avante D2 bodies and Volvo B11R chassis.[6]
In addition to Tentrem, MTrans also relies on bus bodies produced by Laksana. At the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), Laksana launched the Laksana Legacy SR-3 Neo Double-Decker body, which was later purchased by MTrans. The double-decker bus uses a Volvo B11R chassis. In addition, the Legacy SR-2 for the Sultan class is also available.[10]
Distinctive Appearance

Initially, MTrans wore a gray base color with red accents, reflecting the company's early days, which were still focused on tourism services. Two years later, the company began to show a new identity by rebranding: MTrans changed the paint scheme of its buses to red and white, colors that have become a widely recognized trademark to this day. The color change was not just a cosmetic update, but also a symbol of the company's increasingly serious shift in orientation in building its image as a premium-class tourist bus operator in Bali at that time.[1]
Some bus units use different paint patterns. During the 2024 GIIAS, MTrans purchased the Avante D2 bodywork, which uses a red paint scheme. [11] MTrans is also known for its unique corporate slogan written in Dutch, Je ziet ons ook overal (lit. 'You can see us everywhere'), which is affixed to every window of its buses.
Route
Since pioneering intercity bus in 2017 and being acquired by Bagong in 2022, MTrans no longer serves tour bus. Currently, MTrans focuses on intercity bus with departure points from Denpasar, Bali[12] Surabaya/Malang, East Java, and Yogyakarta.[13] MTrans also serves intercity and interprovincial bus routes connecting DKI Jakarta or Bandung, West Java to various cities in East Java and DKI Jakarta–Denpasar City, Bali.
