Mayasari Bakti (abbreviated as MYS) is a transportation service company headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. Mayasari Bakti operates a bus company with the most routes and is categorized as a city bus. Currently, Mayasari Bakti operates a fleet of Transjabodetabek and Transjakarta buses in the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area.
Mayasari Bakti was founded in 1964 by H. Engkud Mahpud (1932–2010)[1] and serves the Cililitan–Tanjung Priok route. This bus company grew when, in 1970, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ali Sadikin, provided credit assistance for the procurement of city buses in DKI Jakarta to several city bus operators.[2]
When in 1982 several operators were forced to be 'merged' into PPD[a], Mayasari Bakti remained as a private operator. And it remains so to this day, although some of its routes were forced to be removed due to overlap with Transjakarta.

Transjakarta

Before becoming an independent operator, Mayasari Bakti had experience operating buses for Transjakarta through a consortium with several other companies, namely PT Trans Batavia, PT Jakarta Mega Trans, PT Jakarta Trans Metropolitan, and PT Trans Mayapada Busway.[4] From 2013 to 2016, Mayasari Bakti operated a number of Integrated Border Transportation Busway (APTB) routes,[5] before finally APTB was banned from operating on the busway route in mid-2016.[6] The former APTB unit was then used for the Transjabodetabek service. In 2016, Mayasari Bakti decided to join Transjakarta based on a rupiah-per-kilometer scheme. [7] To date, the entire bodywork of Mayasari Bakti's Transjakarta fleet has been carried out by Laksana, with the exception of the BYD low-floor electric buses, which are imported as a whole.
On March 5, 2022, Mayasari Bakti became the first Transjakarta operator to operate an electric bus by operating a BYD K9 low-floor bus.[8]
