Indefinite extended confirmed protection: I've attempted to contact the protecting admin several times, to no avail. For why protection needs to be lowered, kindly refer to my August request on their talk. All those reasons also apply to these other AfD templates, which were fully-protected by a now-former admin in 2006 and lowered to TE once it was introduced. Per the High-risk templates policy, there is consensus to permanently extended-confirmed protect templates with roughly 2500–5000 transclusions
, and these AfD templates have just over 700 transclusions (the first two are substed wrappers of the last two). Plus, they are mostly used on relatively unimportant articles, not on articles with high pageviews). Hi there, I am a temporary new page reviewer, and I think (at least hope) that I have made a tangible difference to the backlog as well as finding articles with issues. I think that I will not do many reviews a month, so I hope that this isn't a major issue, but I think that they will be useful when I do. I also use this tool for AFC so that when I approve at AFC, I can also approve here to help with the backlog. I would like a permanent right but understand if I need to be on probation or (have made mistakes, meaning no right at all). Thanks for your consideration. Clearly understood WP:PMCRITERIA and WP:PMRR, and need the permission more than ever with my ongoing tasks in this wiki (in vast majority of the moves, I make sure never to leave redirects broken, and never to leave wiki-linked templates remain with redirects); additionally, whenever in doubt, I do not move it directly but rather either open a discussion thread, or, put it in the request page so that another more experienced editor might either conduct the task or discuss about it further if anyone objects (in whichever cases, the real mainspace pages will never be harmed by inappropriate moves); ask me every query wherever and whenever required! :-) Haoreima 10:16, 8 October 2026 (UTC)

I do a lot of anti-vandalism when I'm not creating pages or editing already existing ones. I've been using Twinkle for anti-vandalism but I've thought switching to Wikishield, which requires rollback rights. I've recently also found myself more situations were a vandal has vandalized the page multiple times, which rollback rights would help to combat more efficiently. I would like to become a TAIV mainly to augment and help my anti-vandalism work. I promise that I will not use these rights inappropriately. It would help my anti-vandalism work by allowing me to very easily find out whether or not multiple accounts vandalising the same areas in quick succession are the same user, which would allow me to be more certain when I need to report these accounts to AIV and/or SPI if a registered user is involved. I already do some anti-vandalism work using Interceptor, hence why I cited it as one of the good reasons for me to become a TA IP viewer.
