When I accepted a draft with an infobox title of Charles-Louis-François de Paule de Barentin only to later see Charles Louis François de Paule de Barentin with a revert that looked a little similar. Looks like the editor based it on the French version and I was mostly okay with the content. However based on your prior revert, I thought I'd flag this for you and see if there was something specific you took issue with, and thought maybe I could address it in an attempt to save the content. Just to bring you up to speed, I have since merged and redirected it so that it's all in one place now.

Thank you for your recent block on ~2026-34491-00, but clearly more is still needed. As I noted in that report, this is part of lots of LTA/block evasion, see this previous report from me earlier this month, for example. 1 week block probably should be indefinite because of this.

A brief mention of a linked article in a related one is fully compliant with Wikipedia requirements and the sources do not have to be repeated. Also, Wikipedia has notations e.g. ^{[citation needed]} which are to be used to give an editor an opportunity to cite rather than immediate reversion. Frankly, your overzealousness and knee-jerk deleting of potentially perfectly good material is more likely to piss potential new contributors off and keep them away than to benefit Wikipeda.

Yup they can either lockhide or locksuppress an account globally. Lockhide only hides it from centralauth and the account is still visible in contributions on wiki's that it was registered on before getting locked. Locksuppress on the other hand hides the account from centralauth and all wikis it was registered on, and will suppress the username in all edits the account made. You can request on m:SRG by hiding the username when reporting. There are instructions for requesting a global lock there at the top of the section, but when hiding the username you would add the |locked=yes parameter inside the template. You can also use gadgets such as WP:TWG to report account to SRG. Template:Cite web merely recommends using codes (en, es. etc.) instead of proper names in a given language (English, Spanish/espagnol, etc.) in the language parameter. It does not guide the removal of the parameter, and such removal reduces the code clutter. Further, in my experience, copying the "cite XXX" templates across major wikis does require retyping all fields. That said, my goal is certainly not the removal of the language parameter - the goal is to clean up unsourced and obviously clumsy additions, such as gross, budget, unsourced actors who are referred to by a generic name like "Vikram" (Vikram who?), and some other speculations. I hope this finds you well. I need some help with removing a userfied article which I originally created. As far as I am aware, it is legal to userfy a copy of a previous edit of an existing WP article to convert it to a pdf file, to be downloaded, when the mainspace version's pdf conversion system was not working.

I have always understood that WP articles are free for anyone to use and to download? I did that because the article is now under threat of deletion due perceived inadequate sourcing (because the sources were at that time from the C19) and I wanted to retain a copy of my own historical research. I am now being pressured to get the userfied article deleted, because some people believe that I userfied it for malicious purposes (no, I don't know either). Now that I have downloaded it safely, I don't need it any more, but I have found it impossible to delete it entirely from its own history in my userspace. So, for the sake of peace, please would you kindly delete my userfied copy in the link above? The irony is that I no longer need that version anyway, because new sources have became available, and I have downloaded a pdf from the new updated version via mainspace. The problem with using personal knowledge instead of published sources is, what do we do if someone else says "I personally know his children and there are only four of them"? How do we know who to believe - you, or them? This isn't about you specifically, it's about the general case. Consider, for example, two people who both say "I knew the dead man personally, and he told me that he had political opinion X" - and they contradict each other.

As a practising physician with a doctorate, I am fully aware of the importance of reliable sources and proper citation. I therefore find it somewhat condescending to be lectured on the importance of sources by an anonymous Wikipedia user, particularly when I am likely more conscious of the necessity of rigorous sourcing than the person attempting to instruct me.

That said, let us not allow this to distract us from the substantive issue. It would hardly have been difficult to verify the results of the parliamentary election held in May 1926, only a few months before the coup of December 1926. Frankly, I find it astonishing that someone discussing that coup would fail to consult the results of the election held earlier in the very same year.

The LKDP was the third-strongest party, not the strongest. You have once again reverted the article to an erroneous version. I find that frankly absurd. By repeatedly restoring factual errors instead of verifying the underlying evidence, you are actively contributing to Wikipedia’s unreliability and inaccuracy. In this particular instance, you are not correcting the problem; you are helping to create and perpetuate it. And, quite apart from that, where exactly is the source stating that the LKPD was the largest party in 1926? Is there no source for that claim, or do you simply not have one? Why not? I have noticed similarities in the edits of ~2026-39192-04 and Jonathan Markoff where there is wholesale "link-fixing". To get further confirmation, I ran the allegedly pasted text through two different detectors and they returned positives for AI writing, though in retrospect, I may have jumped the gun by immediately reverting instead of discussing with the editor.
