The 2022 South Dakota Commissioner of School and Public Lands election was held on November 8, 2022, to elect the commissioner of school and public lands of South Dakota. Incumbent Republican Jarrod Johnson, who was appointed to the position following the resignation of Ryan Brunner, did not seek election to a full term in office.[1] Republican state Senator Brock Greenfield defeated Democrat Timothy Azure to succeed Johnson.[2]
